I think if the O=line can be improved, and get a decent QB in here to compete with Kyle, this coaching staff could look much better. It took a lot of nerve to not want to let your coaching career wash down the toilet with a crappy QB, especially when he was drafted to be the franchise guy.

yes we could, and he's worse.

Homey D. Clown replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They looked like they were wearing blue One-sies. Please SOMEONE make the blue pants go away for good. -
NOOOOO! do not skip Duff's. you will undoubtedly regret a religious wing experience. You have been warned.

What would it take to pry Ryan Nassib out of NY ?
Homey D. Clown replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ryan is an unknown, Eli isn't that great, and if he could be had for a 4th rounder, I'd say take a flyer on a guy that might have done well playing for his college coach. As of right now, we have Orton, serviceable, but erratic, EJ, who couldn't hit the ground if he fell out of a plane, and Tuel, who wouldn't make any other squad if cut. I'd be all for seeing him picked up, and maybe sam bradford if the Rams shop him. -
F-ing JP , should of, could of, would of...

What does "should of", "could of", "would of" mean exactly? -
I don't know what the mystery is here about MIke Williams... Woods, Hogan and Watkins are the reason he's not starting, plain and simple. I admire Marrone for not just playing a guy because he complains, and or has a big contract. I never saw the guy "killin it" at any time. I think he is a serviceable player, and he was brought in to compete for a spot given Woods average play last year, and the unknowns in Hogan and Sammy, but that's what good teams do. They bring players in to compete, bottom line.. In years past, we would have seen Mike Williams till we choked on his average play, just because, remember T.O. ?? The Bills are starting to act like a good team right now, and that's why we've seen an improvement in the win column. As far as the Marrone debate, I personally think the guy can coach. Considering that we still don't have a franchise QB in place for at least the next 3 years, if we draft one that is, this team is some execution away from a 9-4 record. so I do not subscribe to the revolving door at the head coach position at all. I like the attitude and culture on the team for a change.

Jay Gruden May Be Shown The Door.
Homey D. Clown replied to george c's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess he could teach EJ the proper clip board holding techniques... -
be careful here, you are trying to use deductive reasoning and logic, supported by hard facts and concrete evidence to validate your statements... on this board of all places.... while I agree with you completely, I admire your bravery more.

Plenty of explanation required. Like, for instance, why on earth would you invest any more time in a guy that cant' play at this level, What more do you need to see? I heard Trent Edwards is available, why not see if he can give it another go...

what are the odds we finish 4-0?
Homey D. Clown replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel I'm being a negative nancy in yet another thread this morning, but there is a 0% chance of going 4-0, a 0% chance of going 3-1, a 2% chance of going 2-2, (beating green Bay and Oakland) a 50% chance of going 0-4, (carr has yet another miraculous game) and a 90% chance of going 1-3. -
Where's the confidence?!
Homey D. Clown replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not fatalistic, and not crapping on your picnic table. The Bills have an awesome defense that Ryan Frickin Tannehill just beat. Nowhere in the depths of my wildest hopes do I think we have a chance on Sunday, Denver's defense is infinitely better than that of the Dolphags, and this game will sadly look a lot like a 38 - 13 type of loss. The Bills offensive struggles will not magically disappear on the road, in Denver, against Von Miller Et-Al, this Sunday. Lord only knows how badly I do not want this to be true, but in reality, will anyone here please tell me with all sincerity that you honestly think they have a shot? And that's a crow sandwich i will gladly, and publicly eat in my very own thread if I'm wrong and the Bills win. I grew up in a neighborhood across from the old Pierce-Arrow plant, lived and breathed the chilled air of every Buffalo Blizzard, attended every single 80s - 90s era playoff game, and even had to choke back my rage and anger as i walked back to my car that fateful day in Nashville. Yes I was there. But I won't make any apologies for not blindly drinking the cool-aid right now. -
Toronto series is over. IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!!
Homey D. Clown replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This has to be sarcasm, because in no way was that stupid series designed to even help bring people to WNY. It was designed to make a possible transition from Buffalo to toronto easier. -
How will you react to a blowout?
Homey D. Clown replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sort of sitting back waiting for this inevitable train wreck around here. The calling of Marrone's head, the immediate execution of Hackett, the benching of Orton and a laundry list of players that will be mentioned as garbage. I can't wait, I have my popcorn ready, this place after the game is going to be better than the game its-self! -
Geno Smith is almost done
Homey D. Clown replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don't need to be in a "win now" mode to get rid of him. He was a sub-par talent who couldn't read defenses, react to the pass rush, read receivers in their routes, or complete a pass to open receivers without getting them killed. Otherwise, he is a nice guy, but I think it has nothing to do with the Bills management's time frame on winning , because it's never going to be with EJ regardless of the team's patience level. I was happy to see them finally pull the plug on an under-performing player at this position for a change, rather than endure years of ineptitude. -

Is It Time To Start EJ, Again?
Homey D. Clown replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because He's not even close to an NFL level QB. The one thing I was happy to see was this team pulling the plug on a QB for once when it was becoming very clear that he's not very good, unlike the eternal suffering we experienced with Lostman, Cap'n checkdown, and fitztragic. -
Bills Coaches Sleep Overnight at OBD After Loss to KC
Homey D. Clown replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see how anyone can really blame the coaches for this loss, when the team was moving the ball pretty well all day and just couldn't execute when they needed to, and the defense for the most part played lights out football. They kept a very real playoff contender with an all pro receiver and RB out of sync all day. they only scored 17 actual points, and the Bills should have realistically put up 24 to 27 if they executed better. I liked the 4th down red zone call, I didn't like the stupid draw offsides 4th down call though, but again, if these plays work, nobody would be a critic, we would be praising them for being so gutsy, just like everyone did against the vikings. I'd love to see a lot less over-reaction around here than there is, I'd like to think we're better than that, and I have had the opportunity to see less evolved fans in other cities, like where I currently live. If there were less stupid soul crushing fumbles and we had a pro bowl QB, Marrone and Hackett would be seen much differently. -
Right from it's INception, this thread was DOOMED!
