I think Sammy is the better talent, the fact that he had to endure 4 games of EJ not throwing him the ball, limiting his catch totals and yards doesn't lessen his value to me. The guy nearly had 1000 yards in-spite of weak QB play. a bust he is clearly not.

Absolutely not. He could teach Sammy nothing. I liked his down to earth personality, but just what he's not doing in San Fran should be enough to make this a non issue.

How is a running back going to make EJ better? Is he going to teach him how to anticipate routes? Is he going to suddenly infuse him with talent he currently doesn't possess? What will fix EJ is the guy who replaces him.

If this team is hitching it's wagon to EJ with hopes of success, there will be no circling. Not now, not ever. While I think EJ is a wonderful, upstanding young man, an NFL QB he is not. The one thing i respected Marrone on was his benching of a QB that was showing no signs of any ability at this level, and wasn't going to let him ruin his coaching career, like chan Gailey and so many other coaches in the past. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the front office brought sanchez here and Ryan packs up and walks.

I have no complaints since Whaley has fully taken over. Drafting a QB is a total crap shoot unless you have the fortunes of drafting an Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, or even a sure thing, high quality starter like Matthew Stafford. I didn't mention the Seattle QB, because he wasn't a 1st rounder overall 1st pick type of guy, and was actually drafted as an unknown, but I do think the kid is fast becoming elite. The depth of the team is just awesome on defense. I hope Whaley becomes the Bills' next Polian type of guy.

The real confusion here for most people is that the element of the ground causing the ball to pop loose. If he landed on his back, and the ball jostled in his hands, but never touches the ground, WHILE staying in the field of play, then the result would be a catch. THEN.... Mouthy Douchebag dez bryant acting all douchy and happy.... and homey no longer smiling so much. Watch the play in real time, it happens in just over a second. If I could find it, there was a "non-Catch" call against Scott Chandler where he seemingly caught the ball, turned to run, and had the ball knocked loose. Incomplete pass. and Scott probably had it a full second longer that bryant. The definition of football move is anything a player does while securing the ball, trying to advance the ball, or any move as part of the next motion after it comes into contact with the player. Dez's football move? trying to advance the ball while falling to the ground. This should cement the debate... but i'm sure it won't.

I am a big fan of Doug Whaley, I think you can see real progress in just the depth of talent the team now has, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and I really don't blame him too much for whiffing on a QB, of all the positions to draft for, unless you have an Andrew Luck available, it's going to always be a crap shoot.

How is that so hard to get, and what were you watching? Hence.. big mouth dez bryant whining and crying, dallass goes home, homey smiling. Ummm... yes, since forever. when has the ground been the cause of a catch? having possession of the ball during a run, being tackled, and when your knee is down, play over. the ground can't cause you to fumble once you are down by contact, is that really confusing, or are you just being obtuse? A player can fall to the ground without contact by an opposing player, have the ground cause the ball to pop out, and it's a live ball.... I'm failing to see the confusion.

I'm perfectly fine with the trade. in the end, I'd take him over odell peckham any day. So what if he had a super awesome catch, did they even win that game? no. did they make the playoffs? No. Will that one play get him into the hall of fame? No. Does he look like a better player than Sammy? No. Only time will tell, but I think we have the higher character player, and the player with much better work ethic, and those 2 things are the traits that create players like Jerry Rice, instead of idiots like Chad Johnson. I am not saying it's going to happen, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least of peckham fades away like Johnson Ocho-douche-O did.

NO. The best thing that ever happened to this franchise in 15 years was when Doug Marrone refused to let a garbage QB run an entire franchise into the ground. If we cut EJ, he might get picked up here and there, but there is no doubt he'll never start for another team barring injury.

I am hoping this franchise is smart enough to let someone else find out EJ is not NFL caliber. Sam Bradford was playing great until he went down with another knee injury. I'd love to take a flyer on him. I'd hate for him to be another Drew Brees type of miss.
