I agree. Florence was horrible last year.

We have no choice but to pay Stevie. Franchise him or pay him. If he winds up in a Jets, Fins or Pats uniform we will regret it for years. We will be drafting the "franchise receiver" this year, next year and the year after ala the Detroit Lions. Took them three times to get it right.

Gotta tag the dude. Can't let talent walk for nothing.

What position does Hearsay play, QB?

If Evans gets cut do you want him back
jumbalaya replied to ALLEN1QB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a simple answer to this. No other team wants a slug that lets the TD pass that gets them to the Super Bowl be slapped out of his hands. It wasn't ripped out, or punched out, it was slapped out. The guy does not have what it takes. And he has not had IT for years. -
I'd love to see Spiller force the Bills to sit Freddie. CJ would be playing at an incredible level for that to happen.

Pick up Routt, drop McGee and Florence, draft a CB in rd 3. Williams, Routt, Rogers and the rookie,

What has Lee Evans done the last 4 years that any 5th, 6th, 7th round or UFA WR cannot do? 20 to 30 catches and 400 yards a year, never go over the middle and drop the biggest catch of his life. -
I heard Peyton is looking for waterfront in Angola and he wants to play for the Bills......

Some interesting Super Bowl Tidbits

Do you think NE is looking for a WR and a RB in this next draft? With Gronk not at 100% their down field passing game was exposed. NE hasn't had a go to back since.....Jim Nance???? -

Tasker Tweet re: Pete Metzelaars TE coach

Bills to hire Pete as the new TE coach. Very bad move. They should put pads back on him and start him. -

Exactly. His four biggest plays in his career have been two BIG drops and two IMMATURE displays of being an idiot.

If the defender made a great play Evans would not have caught the pass. The defender made a poor play and at the last second did what he said he was taught to do slap at the ball. He was lucky Lee is a kitty and dropped it. Lee did nothing to cover up and hold on, he should have sat down.

Lee Evans taking the blame for the loss
jumbalaya replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think people blame Evans because he should have wrapped it up. That is what you do when the game is on the line, you wrap it up. That is especially what you do when the trip to the Super Bowl is on the line. It was not a great play by the defender, the defender simply did what he is trained to do, and that is slap the ball. The receiver (Lee) is supposed to hang on to the ball when it gets slapped. They have been training Lee to hang on to the ball since he started to play. The defender was a rookie, Lee is a 8 year vet or something like that. Lee decided to quit once it was in his hands. Lee has shown over and over that he is a quitter. Lee hasn't given a damn since he signed his last contract with the Bills. I am glad Lee dropped it as much as I hate the Pats, I hate a quitter. -
Lee "the magician" Evans....hes dissapeared
jumbalaya replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anyone of us catches the game winning TD to get to the Super Bowl you would hang on to it for dear life. Leenever tried to lock it in. He simply quit once it was in his hands just like he quit on the Bills. Lee is a quitter and now he is a loser. -
The Bills are a good football team
jumbalaya replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I think you should have said are the Bills could be a good team soon if all of their key players stay healthy, if they have a solid draft, if Merriman returns to what he was 5 years ago, if Easley turns into the player we think he could be, if they sign three or four free agents that contribute, if they figure out how to play Jackson and Spiller in the same game, if the don't let Johnson and Chandler walk, if the coaches don't blow any games by calling pass plays when you are within field goal range and can milk the clock to kick the FG and win. All of those things must happen for this team to become a good team. -
Orson Charles or Dwayne Allen anyone?
jumbalaya replied to BillsNeedaQBin2012's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tis is the thinking that has consistently kept the Bills from being a contender, letting good players walk and then creating a bigger position on need than it was before. We can never shore up all of the holes that we create ourselves. -
Anyone else have the feeling .....
jumbalaya replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am sure the Bills are thinking: In 2012 - our #1 Defensive player comes back on the D line, K Williams - get a potential pro bowl LB in Merriman - McGee gets healthy, who when he was young is a decent corner. - Wood comes back at center - Jackson comes back at RB - Easely comes back and is the savior they hoped for two years ago - In FA they sign one or two second tier players at ILB, DB, WR, OL or TE - draft a pass rushing LB and WR in round 1 & 2 and special team and practice squad players in rds 3 to 7 - Then they pray that McKelvin, Troupe, Easely, Shephard, Moats, Batten, White are not all busts because the first three have bust etched on their foreheads right now. They will do the minimal to get 22 pro quality starters and god forbids someone gets hurt because we will have no depth and no veteran leadership outside of McGee and Merriman. All of the other AFC east teams will do a lot to try to improve their rosters, we will be timid and watch. -

Aaron Williams Drafted then Andy Dalton
jumbalaya replied to Hsp08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron Williams looked like a luxury pick at #2. But look what happened to our DBs...McGee hurt again, regression from McKelvin (poor coaching IMO), Florence outright sucked, Reggie turned the Corner and hasn't been seen since. Williams was a great pick in hindsight and will be pro bowl once/if the defense gets tough upfront. Refusing to pay DBs like Greer, Clemens, Whitner, and Winfield caused the Bills to continually expend high draft picks on the same position and miss out on players like Dalton and many others. The issue with our defensive backs is squarely a front office finance management issue but that has had repercussions throughout the roster. Jason Peters, Pat Williams, Marshawn Lynch, and London Fletcher trades/releases are other instances of mismanagement. By refusing to take care of your producers and you release or trade them and have nothing in return. Resulting in attempting replace players that you developed with unproved draft picks. Compounding this with poor draft strategies the team just suffers for years. We wind up spending high draft picks on RBs and DBs instead of the guys upfront that win every game. -

Nice article. Find the next great Kutztown WR and bring him to Buffalo.
