The team and the fans all quit when Stevie dropped that pass. How can anyone challenge that or be surprised by comments like this? Bellicheck knew it, Wilfork knew it, Brady knew it, we all knew it. This team has no leaders and looks for ways to lose.

If the OP is the one that started this thread, it was me. But I did not post the title that Kiko sucks or McKelvin is great. Someone hacked it. I did think that McKelvin had a great game. When watching the game I saw a few plays where Kiko got blown up by the oline. I did not see the next coming of Butkus as this board has already tagged him. I thought our run defense was largely ineffective against second tier backs as our pass defense got ripped up by third tier WRs especially on that last drive.

Don't be surprised with a Jets upset on Sunday, the Pats can be had this year, but we just aren't good enough to beat a bad Pats team.

CJ was rested when he started the game. He fumbled right away and did not look ready for prime time. FJax looked like a professional running back and he didn't get tired. Why all of the concern about CJ getting tired? Is he that out of shape? Almost every screen I saw to CJ he was stood waiting for the ball. Every successful screen I saw in other games and with the Pats the RB was moving before he caught it and then turned it up. What works was FJ not CJ.

Graham and Goodwin -- 73 snaps, 1 catch zero yards, 1 fumble; 1 carry 5 yards. Time for Marcus, lets see what we have.

Leodis played a great game today. This defensive backfield could be stellar once Gilmore comes back. For all of the Leodis haters on this board, you were all wrong. And for those that anointed Kiko the next great player, he was invisible all day today. He got chewed up by the Pats line. The run defense was horrendous.

Agreed. Stevie blew the game with another key drop. He should talk after he makes a play not before. He is no better than Lee Evans. TJ Graham and Goodwin should both ride the pine. This is a man's game they don't belong on the field.

History will repeat itself. The Bills will be in the lead with under two minutes left and Goodwin will opt to return a kick from the end zone instead of taking a knee. He will cross the twenty, get held up and fumble the ball. Pats recover and score the winning TD. Bills fan will take heart in a good loss.

It's a little early to anoint Kiko as anything but a high motor guy. Top 5 Dline? It is basically the same DLine that did nothing last year. Let these guys earn some praise and not set expectations based on fantasy.

I think we should put four guys on the line and rush them hard every play. Three linebackers will back them up and cover the run and the backs out of the backfield. That will leave us with 2 CBs and 2 safeties to cover the TE and WRs. Everybody must play their spot. We are all set. ...D. Wannstadt

You think Byrd is paying attention? He is only paying attention to the next flight out of town. He does not want to be there Sunday or any Sunday.

Five days before the first game we are uncertain of our starting QB and only have two rookies on the squad. Two other QBs were grabbed to start and finish the last preseason game. We couldn't play an UDFA QB in the 4th preseason game because we had to protect him from injury! If EJ has a set back this week we will be the first team to start a UDFA ever and we will have to pull Lewis from the practice squad with all of one full game experience. Our back-up guard goes down and he is the only back-up guard on the team. We tried to scramble to find a replacement for him but...our rookie K goes down with a groin before we can pick one up. So we sign a replacement K less a week before the first game and carry two Ks into the first game. Our top CB goes down so we bring in a slug to back fill as we don't have enough to cover the team in case one of remaining 4 goes down with injury. Without a doubt he will be pressed into playing time in the first game. Our pro bowl safety finally comes into town and immediately leaves because his foot hurts, or so he says. So we scramble to find another safety. At least, Leohnard knows where the stadium is. No other team is in such a mess. Not even Oakland.

I have never seen a team in such a mad scramble just to fill their opening day a roster as this year's Bills team. Seems there is more of a focus on who they can find to wear a uniform than on the Patriots. I am not optimistic that this team is prepared for Sunday.

They can name my dog the starter (he is by the way is the emergency QB at the moment). They don't even have to let him off the bench.
