EJ was not ready to play today. Maybe physically he was capable of playing but he was not ready to play QB. Either Lewis or Teul would have been better. Our coaching staff really makes a lot of poor choices. Hackett has to be the worst OC in the league. CJ is really trying hard to win a first round bust label. If worked on his game half as much as he works his jaw with the opposing players he'd be all-pro. He is well on his way to being another Lee Evans, a flash in the pan, but no heart for the game. He can't even beat out an aging Freddy who is showing he doesn't have a lot left in the tank.

Now we get to see what we have for 7 games

Our #2 WR is worthless and doesn't make most teams rosters. #3 is one catch a game guy. What are we really missing? -
Every single ESPN expert is picking PIT

If this were true we'd be 16-0 every year. -
This team loses better than previous teams. But this team is a loser just like the previous teams. This team gets beat at the coaching and FO level.

What to do with TJ Graham?
jumbalaya replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's what happened. Our draft team doesn't scout. They go to the combine and listen to teams that scout. They heard a scout rave about TJ but the other scout actually said TY and the rest is history. -
6-10, would be 10-6 and a playoff team had we kept TJax and/or if Hacckett had a clue.

Hope some of you took my betting advice. We see this picture year after year.

My three takes: If EJ shows improvement in the last five games and that he can stay healthy during that time we won't have to waste another first round pick on a QB. If he doesn't improve or can't stay healthy we have to draft another QB. Tuel played better than I thought he would. But I had real low expectations. I can't believe anyone is surprised or upset by the interceptions. A good coaching staff wins this game. Marrone does not know how to win in the NFL, and Hackett is joke.

What to do with TJ Graham?

When was he ever hot? In a two catch game? He doesn't belong on the field. That fumble was ridiculous. He could not hold Roscoe's jock and Roscoe was a waste. -
This mess belongs at the doorstep of the Bills brass for letting TJax go and sticking with Kolb and Tuel. The story line that they didn't want to spread the reps to three players was simply a lie. Take the Bills and the points in the first half. KC less the points in the second half. KC and under for the game.

Belichick and Pats Wanted EJ Manuel

We will have something in EJ if and when he can stay on the field and if and when he can make the deep throws. Until then all we have is a rookie QB. -

Road vs home is big difference for a rookie QB and essentially Thad is a rookie. -
Get over it.

It could be very close to Matt Flynn time
jumbalaya replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In defense of Lewis. Poor play calling resulted in him getting whacked on the first play. He was on the road for the first time I believe and in the Superdome no less. Few QBs would perform well on the road, in the Dome against a tough Saints team in their 4th start ever. Give the guy a break and let him learn the game. He could become a service-able back up. -

is it better to have a guy as faster than a jackrabbit that catches one ten yard pass a game or a guy as slow as a turtle that catches 8 for 80 yards a game? -

As is Thad Lewis. EJ is made a of glass and should have been on the bench this whole year. We will have to draft another QB in rd 1 after EJ goes down for a third time as soon as he gets back. -
In Thad Lewis we found a decent back-up QB that is a positive. We don't have a starting QB yet. We have a third rate receiving corp and a very good but old RB. Spiller is starting to earn the Bust Tag. If EJ keeps breaking down like a piece of glass, he will earn the bust tag as well. But there is always the off season. Defense, especially the D line, played great, just nothing on offense to keep the Saints offense on the bench. What Off Coordinator would ever have its QB run on the first play of the game when Tuel is your only back up? Hackett knows nothing of strategy, nor how to use a clock or nor how to protect his players.

Week 8 AFCE matchups - pick'em and why

If you watched the Giants victory against Minnesota you would realize that they are as bad as their record. -
Former Buffalo Bill Reggie Rogers has passed away
jumbalaya replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good riddance... He spent a year in a jail after he killed three teenagers in a DUI crash in October 1988, in Pontiac, Mich. His blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, and he was found guilty of negligent homicide. He returned to the NFL in 1991 with the Bills but was out of the league for good after playing with the Buccaneers in 1992 . Rogers was sentenced to another year in prison in December 2011 after his sixth drunk driving conviction. He was arrested this month on a domestic violence charge after his wife accused him of hitting her, the Times reported. Rogers pleaded not guilty to the charge. Rogers’ older brother, Don Rogers, was an All-American safety at UCLA and was a 1984 first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns. At age 23, Don Rogers died in 1986 of a heart attack caused by a cocaine overdose. -
My two leading candidates for coach of the year (for the first half of the season). 2. Andy Reid, obviously. But he did have a roster loaded with Pro Bowl players, just needed a viable QB. 1. Rex Ryan. Rex has done more, with less, than any coach, and when you consider an unbelievable tumultuous pre-season environment, it's pretty amazing what he has accomplished. No Revis, benching Sanchez, and the NY media.
