Anyone else concerned about special teams?
jumbalaya replied to cale's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we miss the playoffs due to special teams play will Brandon force Marone to axe Crossman? -
can we see him catch a pass before we name him?

A stadium in Hamilton doesn't make sense for Toronto fans and less sense for Buffalo fans. A stadium in Niagara Falls only make sense for fans from Niagara Falls. Keep it in Buffalo.

WEDG Report: Rogers meets with Cuomo & Bills
jumbalaya replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL would fold in one minute for fear of a lawsuit from a Canadian group that bought the Bills. They'd let them trample the lease and everything else and Jerry Jones will be leading the charge. -

Should the Bills Cut Dareus? - Jerry Sullivan Article
jumbalaya replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills asked Sully to write that article so they could use it to wake up the stupid, big, fat, lazy idiot. -
Our offense is kind of the opposite of the Pats. Last year with Gronk out, the Pats only had a QB and the rest of the skill position guys are average or below average role players. This year we have a lot of individual athletes at skill positions (CJ, FJ, SW, RW, MW, MG, & Hogan) but our QB is EJ. The Pats offense flourishes because they are a unit and Brady demands excellence and Brady delivers his best. Our guys will run around and come close to winning but in the end it will not be good enough because they don't know how to win and EJ won't demand excellence.

Unless he was in a dress and heels for drag racing just let the guy grow up without running him out of town.. -
I like the idea of Google owner Larry Page. A Google-infused stadium could be unbelievable. He of all owners could also bring an abundant amount of tech jobs to the area. NYS and Erie County should go all in on this one.

I want Trump for owner and you should too.

If Trump buys the team and builds a stadium I will join the Tea Party. -
Don Esmonde article about new ownership
jumbalaya replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if Ralph said the bills had to stay as a condition of ownership, his estate/heirs would be lucky to get $700M. In an open market they will get a $1B+. He would have been stupid to do otherwise. Its up to Buffalo to find someone with that much wherewithal to keep them here. Sure everyone including Ralph hopes they stay but it will be what it will be. If they stay get ready as Buffalo fans will have to pay market rates for tickets once this happens. BTW, Jerry J and Bon J can kiss my royal arse. -

Gregg Easterbrook on the Watkins Pick
jumbalaya replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
another way to look at 2015 draft picks...with all of the underclassmen moving into the 2014 draft the 2015 pool is pretty diluted. A mid round one pick in 2015 might really only translate into a round 2 talent in a normal year; the 2015 round 4 pick might only be a round 5 talent in a normal year. Now if we go 3-13 that's a whole new story. But I think we will make it to 8-8 which is a big leap. -
It's not just EJ that has to improve
jumbalaya replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The other thing is that if EJ improves the WRs obviously look better and the coaches look like geniuses. -
Marone, Hackett, Crossman Woods, Goodwin all need to step it up. Woods was okay as a rookie, but he needs to play like a vet this year. TJ Graham may be our most experienced receiver and he sucks. Goodwin needs to show he is not just some flash. We don't need him and TJ, he needs to send TJ into retirement. Crossman is a big question mark. He has never shown that he belongs in the NFL. Hackett is a kid playing with toys, there is nothing I have seen in his game plan that is impressive. Sure he'd like to run an up tempo offense but he couldn't even manage a slow tempo offense last year. Marone made a lot of big mistakes. He needs to show he is the boss on the sidelines not just some guy wearing the mike. So far he reminds me of Mike Mularkey. It won't matter if EJ improves if these guys don't.

What did you guys think of your draft
jumbalaya replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Positives of the draft: 1. Management is not afraid of taking chances and making things happen. (Watkins) 2. Management is patient when they have to be...waiting a year to make the Brown trade happen. 3. Management will move a popular player (S Johnson) when the results and / or attitude don't fit the chemistry they are trying to build. 4. It is clear that Management has a plan, big run oriented Oline (White, Mt Kilimanjaro, Richardson, Henderson) are all very good run blockers, very fast receivers (Watson, Graham, Goodwin) and backs (Brown & Spiller). 5. Management plans for the future, Searcy, Meeks, or Williams to replace Byrd; Dixon and Brown to replace Freddy and Spiller if they can't re-sign them. 6. Management will gamble. They are all in on EJ and Thad at back-up. They won't break the bank for Byrd if the $$ don't fit the position. 7. They believe in ST Coach Crossman which I think is a huge mistake. He has no excuses this year. If the ST squad isn't top 16 at the Bye I hope they sh1t-can him. 8. They believe in OC Hatchett which I also think is a mistake. He also has no excuses this year. He and Marone had too many rookie errors last year, IMO. Getting rid of TJax early in the preseason being a huge mistake. -
What did you guys think of your draft

"The presence of Watkins could create the illusion Manuel is better than he is." What a backhanded statement that is. Did Jerry Rice give the illusion that Montana and Young were better than they really were? If Manuel performs better because he has Watkins to throw to what difference does it make? -
Sex assaults against women are a great example of bias in the country by the people, police, judge, juries, universities, the NFL against women Women that report them become a victim a second time. The true crime is how the women are treated over and over again. Over and over again universities seek to protect their own reputation and that of their holy sports program at the expense of their female students. Read up on what just went on at the University of Missouri. Abuse of women by the university system is an epidemic and a national disgrace. A football player can beat the living sh1t out of his girlfriend or wife and walk away with a slap on the wrists especially if he says I found Jesus and want counseling.
