Is everyone happy Brady got to play us?
jumbalaya replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, just to quiet the noise that this is a team headed to the playoffs. We won the war of words and had our asses handed to us on the field. This team has to learn to play as a team and to learn how to win. Until then they are nothing but talk. -
a lot of excuses being made here for Sammy. 55 yards a game last 11 games. 30 yards a game in 2015. He just doesn't give 110% if he did he would have made that catch. Reminds me of Lee Evans. Lot of potential just not on Sundays. Half his yards this week were against a prevent D. Supposedly a very mobile QB and he has 8 sacks at home?? excuse me that sucks.

Sammy should have caught it. Isn't that why we drafted him? I re-ran the replay five times. I think he mistimed his jump or just didn't give it enough. It was in his hands, should have held on. Evans, Kelvin and Odell don't drop these. If Sammy had let it go I think a different Pats defender makes the interception. How can you think Taylor had a decent game? He had a nice opening drive and 10 decent 4th quarter minutes. He completely sucked for 45 minutes straight.

Sammy is a wonder in training camp. In games he makes me wonder why we drafted him. -
QuarterBillionDollar embarrassment
jumbalaya replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no next time. They were pathetic. The reason for penalties is they were beaten. This was like watching Marone, Gailey, and all the other inept coaches wrapped into one. -
The defense did not show up at all. No pressure on Brady with two rookie OL when you have a berserk home crowd is inexcusable. Looks like Dareus was too busy counting his money to give a damn about playing. Our secondary was atrocious. Too many missed tackles to even count. Aaron Williams before he was hurt was beat like a drum. Tyrod was terrible until Pats went into a prevent defense. Shady and Karlos are all we have. Harvin is a gamer. Sammy has no heart, would not hurt to bench his ass and give him a wake up call. Dropping that last pass was clear cut evidence of his lack of heart. Every receiver on the Pats makes that catch. Clay makes one play other that he was invisible. OL was woeful. Looked like a Pats home game and we were the road team against a hostile crowd. Refs should be investigated. 4 or 5 calls were not there. To call it a moral victory because we got some garbage TDs after the game was all but over is flat wrong. We were beat every which way a team could be beat. Outhustled everywhere, STs were horrendous, Offense, QB, Oline, DLine, Secondary and coaching just sucked.

Sammy - Time for this dude to start playing ball.
jumbalaya replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Through 3 and a half quarters 4 catches for 26 yards and he bobbled two of those and almost lost one fumble. Then he caught a TD on a broken play. Whoppee. He drops a very catchable ball that gets INT to seal the loss. Percy is the #1 on this team. Wood should start ahead of Sammy. This guy is starting to wear the BUST label. Three or four Pats WRs outperform him. -
CONTEST: Guess First Offensive Play - Win a Hat!

End around to Sammy, 8 yards. Rex has to get Sammy involved from the get go. -

Somebody said stats don't lie. Sammy's stats suck for a #4 pick that cost 2 no 1's and a 4th. Guess half the board doesn't want to believe that. His stats are Roscoe Parrish-like, not Eric Moulds-like. I hope he kicks it in this week. If not, he's is just another guy with potential. -

I am complaining it is 55 yards a game. Hardly a #1 pick material. -

jumbalaya replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he isn't the guy designing game plans and he isn't the guy throwing the ball This is just a big excuse. Great players demand the ball and get it. What would Dez do if these were his stats? Actually I like Sammy. I did not mind the trade up. But he has to produce. He is not producing at the level the pick and the trade warranted. He has the body, speed, moves, head and hands but I am not sure he has the heart and hunger. -
Last ten regular season games - 30 catches and 2 TDs. Those are numbers for a 4th round pick, not a guy that cost two no. 1's. Outside of an 84 yard bomb ten games ago his average per catch is below average. Only one game with more than 4 catches. He is starting to look like the second coming of Lee Evans, not Andre Reed. The excuses are getting old too: 1. He was covered by one of the best corners in the league 2. He was double covered. 3. He is hurt. 4. He had Orton throwing to him. 5. He has Taylor throwing to him. 6. He is a better decoy. 7. Rex likes to run.

It is practical, not shrewd. Shrewd is when Whaely finagles a trade for something more than what he gives up. So far Doug has not shown that he is shrewd.

Darby is an absolute liability at this point. I think he could be good by his third year. No way should he start week one. -

Edit: now confirmed rumor that Bills will release Cassel
jumbalaya replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If EJ has made the progress the we have witnessed and beats out Cassel, it makes no sense to trade him.
