  1. There is a massive difference....people who have been "dying for thousands of years" were either A: part of a previous pandemic that was not addressed due to ignorance (see the bubonic plague) or B: the viruses are taking lives at a much lower infective rate then we're seeing today. But people who have parties to see who can contract the virus first, and then die from it as an unintended result, are a problem. So are people who think that; "Oh well it's a virus, nothing I can do but hope I don't get it....now open my bars!" Because again, even though you may not suffer from it, someone you know could unintentionally..... I have a newborn and a mother with a hit list of the virus's greatest targets......and it's people like you who only see the tree, and not the forest, who both terrify and piss me off.
  2. That your me-first worldview on this disease is misguided? Everything you've said statistically is wrong: 1 in 5 people require hospitalization. Older and preexisting are included. This does not impact the data as healthy, asymptomatic carriers have a greater chance to spread. Focusing on only the younger people, (18 and under, or athletes included) is an extremely short and near-sighted view and basically says that those outside this metric can just eff off and deal with it.... Focusing on a small % of deaths out of the total is extremely narrowminded, as pointed out above the percentage of people who are *permanently* damaged physically from this disease is way too high to be ignored. I've seen far too many people who are anti-maskers, anti-vaxxers, people having CoVid parties; who then go on to infect their immediate family/friends and the result is in more then a few cases serious injuries or death. People think about themselves far too much. It's not just you in this situation.....it's everyone. That's why this country as a whole is doing so much worse then basically the rest of the planet. Edit: Oh and one more thing you sure as heck would sing a completely different tone if you were impacted by it. It's easy to be "that guy" who wants to put on rainbow sunglasses and ignore everything about the reality of this disease..... but I assure you, you'd think much differently if it hit your family or friends. Oh and before you say, "well it hasn't hit us at all...." it's people with that mindset that cause everyone to suffer when they all of a sudden find themselves in a situation they scoffed at.
  3. It's not really about leaders being present or being able to handle tough locker room guys, its about drafting guys who do not have that problem so they will in turn keep the other guys honest on their own. If you can draft a guy without the mental warts, you do it. Especially for the city we're in. As for the discussion on Mental Warts Vs Physical Talent....at the end of the day you have to decide whether or not 1 makes up for the other... especially with the Divas in this league lately.
  4. I'm going to purposefully keep posting in this thread for multiple reasons: 1. Yours is a general discussion, and while it may be "convenient" to include all news in that thread; it is not a requirement. 2. This would be considered bigger news then a "General Discussion." 3. Your uppity attitude makes me want to annoy you further. 4. I'll keep doing it. 5. Theres some great discussion in the "Cowboys entire staff fired" thread. 6. Thanks
  5. Literally says on the Graphic: "total number of 15+ yd rushes and 20+ yd pass plays"
  6. *insert old man yells at cloud Gif* The day the bills throw for 300 is the day we got into a shootout. The gripe will then become we didn't throw it to the right people or the defense shoulda done more. This board is a psychology students wet dream. Come one! Come all! We've got all your personality disorders covered! Need a paper? Depression! - "We're 6-2 but we actually suck." Manic Depression "we're 6-2 but the Bills are gonna blow it and miss the playoffs" Panic Disorder - "We JUST. CAN'T. HIT. 300 YARDS!!! Schizophrenia - "Josh Allen is a god! Wait no.... no... put in Matt Barkley JA sucks" Self-Deprecation "The bills are total losers, we did this to ourselves and it's our own fault for not trading our entire draft stock next year to get Aj Green" Narcissistic tendencies - "Sure John Brown is catching balls, but what about Cole Beasley!? He's been targetted like 3 times less. Unless he's involved our wins don't matter. I don't care what you people say!" Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - "The Bills need to score 30+ points and allow fewer then 10 for me to be happy. But it has to be with Josh Allen throwing for 300+ yards, our Rbs being over 100 yards rushing and with each WR, TE, RB catching at least 5 targets OR THIS GAME IS WORTHLESS TO ME AND THEY NEED TO DO IT RIGHT OR I'M GOING TO BE TRIGGERED FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK!" I mean. Free inspiration? Amirite?
  7. Darnit you are right! We should target Beasley more often! The dude just gets open on the short routes! .... Wait....whats that? Brown was open on an intermediate route that JA has been mostly money on..... Well eff that....target beasley. He's gotta be used properly!!! Oh! and another thing! Give the ball to Singletary, Brown, the TEs, and beasley more! I'm tired of all of them not getting the ball! It's like they think there's only one ball or something, haven't they ever heard of Multi-ball? It works wonders in Pinball...JA should try it! You know if he could complete that 1 pass he missed out of his last 6 or so! That one pass could have WON THE ENTIRE GAME!. I'm so tired of these same old Bills who can't get the ball to everyone on the field at once. It's just so poorly executed and it's going to lead to us getting trounced in the playoffs! IF we even MAKE the playoffs....we're only 6-2...thats such a crappy record with such a difficult schedule left. AND we only beat crap teams which totally means that we have no chance whatsoever against good teams so why even try?! Whats the point?! Life is a dreary dark hole of emptiness and we should just forfeit the next 8 games and find something else for our players to do....maybe landscaping? Honestly you people just need to chill the hell out. SIX AND TWO. Does the team have deficiencies? Sure they do....all teams do.... Everyone basically though the Patriots Defense was the king among squads until the Ravens demolished them last night...the same Ravens who got demolished 40-25 by the BROWNS. The same BROWNS that are currently 2-6. So please go ahead and tell me that the Ravens suck because they lost to a poor team...
  8. They do. People just like to ignore that part on this site. They weren’t wrong....
  9. Winning is Winning. Patriots game was 1 John Brown yard away from a possible win with the Defense playing the way it was.
  10. No, he isn't. There's a certain class of human being who believe children need to be disciplined and "taught life lessons" through negative repercussions. However, they do not realize that this is not the only true way to parent a child; they were just treated neglectfully themselves and then try to forward the "lessons." Long story short: Someone wasn't hugged enough as a kid.
  11. Maybe act like an adult and consider a 13 year old kid; a kid. Oh, and maybe don't act like an uppity bastard who thinks kids need to be respectful and not respected. Of course, you're welcome to spit in my general direction. I too, think you are irrelevant....or rather just relevant enough to call out for being a prick.
  12. I'd put my money on creativity over credibility. Dude has none though, just an internet troll bored during a workday.
  13. Agreed with the OP. As for the Wall o' text of excuses.... that just screams of someone annoyed by what they see as entitled people playing a game for money. I hope you don't believe in Karma, otherwise it might be best if you stayed home this week....and away from stairs....
  14. Two posts, my only two posts, on this subject is not arguing to death. It’s a bad take. Now three. I’m done
  15. Theres a difference between a recurring injury like a sprain or fasciitis and a broken bone. Knowing his injury history has nothing to do with breaking a bone in his foot
  16. Every other GM would have known that he’d break his foot! There’s def ways to see he future and know that a bone will break during OTAs! Every medical report on players has a section for future injuries and their severity! Didn’t Beane READ?! He def would have known the date and time a bone would break!!! Is that enough fake outrage? Because this is a stupid stupid thing to post about
  17. In most movies someone with this amount of psychosis ends up snapping and killing his handlers. Metaphorically speaking, fingers crossed.
  18. We have a winning personality here. While I could explain the reasons behind his "protest" it would pass over your head just like everything else in this world likely has. Try not being hateful for reasons you don't understand. Your quality of life will improve. On topic - the man deserves a shot, I hope he doesn't retire.
  19. I mean....do you really want to hang your hat on the fact Jon Gruden won a superbowl? He did facilitate trading Khalil Mack as well as trading Amari Cooper....he may have gone senile.... I'd trust the credentials. Or you know....my eyes. The fact I seen, with my eyes, Nathan Peterman have the worst starts of any quarterback since records were kept. I will agree with one thing though, he gets far more crap then he deserves. He wasn't exactly put in a position to succeed.... that being said, I don't think he would have succeeded even had he had the 2018 colts offensive line and top 3 receivers in the league. He just isn't good.
  20. Your point about the dolphins is valid, but not the Jets. The Jets have a scary front seven as much as the Bills do. Assuming that the tankphins are auto-wins thats 8 more that need to be won. Hypothetically we split the series with the Jets and thats 3 wins. Wheres the other 7 coming from? I count 4 safe-ish bets for the Bills to win: Giants Bengals Redskins Broncos Thats 7 wins. Which means we need to get 3 from the other 9 games (Patriots x2, Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Cowboys. Titans, Eagles,) Plausible, but certainly not a guarantee. Expecting that result to be the floor to prove what the FO is doing is heading in a positive direction is a little silly to me.
  21. Actually my best friend is a mechanical engineer, his father was one and I've been around them all my life. They can be know-it-all jerks, but they know their crap. I'd still take the word of a "book smart" engineer over someone who can't read the warning label on a cryotherapy machine.
  22. What valuable information could the "peasants" possibly have? That the area of view isn't as good in the new helmet as it was in the old? They are engineers....their entire job is the to ensure the structural stability, efficiency, and safety of the helmet. I'd take the word of someone trained to look for more then just "I can't see as good." Besides, in this case it was also co-designed by neurosurgeons. If you want to say that we're smarter then engineers and neurosurgeons...well, nothing anyone says will help you.
