With a new owner, the NFL demanding a new stadium, and the reality of lake effect snow squalls, does the team and politicians expedite construction of a covered stadium (e.g domed or retractable roof)? It will be expensive but it looks like there may be no other choice. Further, with all the press about Buffalo's snow, can you imagine how hard it will be to sign FA's without one?

There's been much discussion whether a move should be made back to EJ? There's also the larger question of the Bills' future at the QB position. The great NFL QB's (e.g Manning, Brady) have the courage to stay in the pocket, go through their progressions, and take a hit. In the case of the smaller stars (e.g Russell Wilson, Drew Brees), they have great athleticism, awareness, and a fast release. Most agree K.O may not be the Bills long term answer but seems to have toughness. Assuming 'you can't teach guts', does EJ have the right stuff?

"Purposely tanking" night after night... on whose authority? Having said that, later in the season with the #1 pick in sight maybe I could see some 'experimentation' ;-)

No one's saying 'permanently' scrap a first round pick. The question is: should you play a first round pick (who's demonstrated he's nowhere near ready) just because he was a #1? Remember Marv Levy and Bill Polian's philosophy during the Bills glory days? 1st year players (2nd in EJ's case given injuries) were 'groomed'. They weren't thrown into the fire until they could be successful. Great, let's sit Orton for EJ and watch the Bills give the Browns a 'high' #1 draft pick. Why not risk that experiment if and when Orton's injured? Or better still, in an open competition with others next pre-season.

As has been posted repeatedly, it was painfully obvious EJ was no where ready for prime time. A veteran presence (Orton) leading a rookie-filled line-up, in the near term, makes sense. My concerns about EJ are three-fold: 1) his ability to process the game quickly 2) his accuracy as a passer 3) his courage (or lack thereof) in the pocket.

A great slate of coaches. Landing Cowher though is a long shot. Media reports say he was pitched the HC job a couple years ago and turned us down. Maybe having a new owner who intends to keep the team in Buffalo will make a difference. I doubt it.

You have a selective memory. EJ was horrible. And he had 2 starting RB's to bail him out. You'd be singing a different tune if Freddy were playing now and the Bills hadn't given the KC game away. Nooooooooooooo! The man is courageous (and probably really sore). He has been hit on every other play the last 4 games.

Yes, bad reffing - safety and pass interference calls - changed the complexion of the game. The first call should never have been called as it was marginal and points were involved. The second was a blown call that lead to score... game over.

Not me. Deion said (and I agree) "Orton not to blame. Offense is so predictable". Give Orton some starting running backs and a decent OC and he's (more) money than EJ... this year. Re-assess next pre-season.
