  1. Our first series on offense started with designed easy throws that Allen either had bated or missed completely. As an OC if your QB is having trouble seeing the field and getting the ball out accurately then there isn’t a whole lot you can do in the passing game
  2. How so? Perhaps I missed them but which reasons? His completion percentage in college was 56% and so far in the NFL it's 55% (60% this year). His completion percentage this year is definitely an improvement over last year though but I never thought Allen was the kind of QB that would stay in the low 50's for completion percentage. I just equate that to having really bad receivers and a bad o-line.
  3. His mechanics (specifically his base and footwork) are still very much a work in progress. I also don't think we can say his decision making is night and day different from his college days. Saying he was just a non step mess at Wyoming either means you didn't watch him there or you're grossly exaggerating. His college games were a healthy mixture of amazing throws/runs and bonehead plays and missed throws. Kinda like what we're still seeing in the pros.
  4. Serious question, how is his passing night and day different from when he was in college?
  5. Dear football gods, please let Allen play Sunday. 4-1 heading to the BYE is so much sexier than 3-2
  6. Bet you wouldn’t say it to his face
  7. When will Bills fans set the bar higher for the starting QB?
  8. I seriously hope McD knows what he needs to do with RT. It’s pretty clear that Ford is not good there.
  9. Didnt NE have 10 points off of Allen turnovers though? Blaming the ST is just so you can avoid having to blame Allen. It’s okay if we lose a game because of Allen once in a while. It happens. If we win a lot more because of him than it’s not the biggest issue.
  10. Did Dr. Dre even go to medical school?
  11. Just started getting into the All-22 tonight Allen essentially stared down Smoke the entire route and the safety was watching him and waiting to jump the route. Knox was wide open with plenty of room for yac towards the sideline
  12. If Allen can’t handle tough coaching when he’s making dumb decisions then he’s not going to be the guy we hope for. And you don’t think that same impression can be made just by watching the tape?
  13. I won’t complain about the defense since they are playing great. I wouldn’t mind some more sacks and QB hits though.
  14. He deserves the praise. Hopefully it means I never have to see Lee Smith run a route for this offense ever again.
  15. It’s maddening. People are just so desperate for his kid to be our franchise QB that it’s tough to always be objective. He was horrible Sunday. Bills fans were hyping this game up to the moon and were hoping this was going to be Allen’s coming out party for the world to see and he ended up looking like ?. Every week so far we’ve seen some really bad bonehead plays/turnovers and every week people keep saying he’ll learn from it. Well, 4 weeks now and we keep seeing the same things. At what point are we actually allowed to be concerned about his decision making and ball security? I doubt anyone here expected Allen to be tied for the league lead in interceptions 4 weeks into the season. I don’t want Allen to fail, far from it actually, and I don’t think his play Sunday means he’s destined to fail. But we can at least be objective about what we’re seeing.
  16. Did you miss the first 3 weeks where I complimented him and praised the great plays he made? Are you just one of those people that see any form of criticism of Allen as just blind and biased hatred? He had a horrible game and deserves his fair share of criticism. Part of it was because of BB and the Pats defense and part of it was his own doing. Which part of this is me being unfair?
  17. At what point did I say the defense had nothing to do with Allen’s bad game? Find the quote. Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
  18. What are you referring to? With what? When did I say it wasn’t? Throwing the ball away or into the ground because nobody is open is a credit to the defense. Holding the ball too long, throwing into double coverage and missing open receivers is on the QB. Should going up against a good defense excuse you from making the above mistakes? I don’t think so.
  19. Throwing into double coverage off your back foot is on the QB. Missing a wide open Cole Beasley on a 5 yard out is on the QB. Allen left a lot of plays out on the field on Sunday that had more to do with his decision making and fundamentals than the Pats defense.
  20. The inaccuracies looked to be more a function of his base and footwork. We’ve seen him throwing off his back foot too many times now.
  21. Our defense played amazing. We can thank them for keeping us in the game.
  22. Their defense being good shouldn’t really excuse our QB from being wildly inaccurate and making horrible decisions. if he doesn’t learn from these mistakes then we have a problem.
  23. I will always hate these arguments.
  24. Ryan Leaf’s first 15 games: 23 INTs. Guess what that means for Allen? Absolutely nothing.
