You managed to cherry pick one amazing player and think it proves a point? Did you bother to look at the rest of the QB stats from that year? Other than Marino, only 1 QB had more than 28 TD passes. Only 6 had more than 20. Including Marino, only 3 QBs had more than 4000 passing yards. Only 9 QBs had a completion percentage greater than 60. And finally, only 4 QBs had a rating more than 90. Now compare that to QBs from last year and tell me there isn’t a big difference.

I would get rid of divisions all together and just have 2 conferences. You play everyone in your conference once and 1 team from the opposing conference. The top 6 records from each conference make the playoffs. No more nonsense of having teams with better records being a WC team.

Anyone with a semi functioning brain knows the offense needs to be better.

Guys like Matt Barkley and Christian Hackenburg were also talked about going high in the 1st round, with some projecting 1st overall. If pre-draft hype meant anything then guys like Ryan Nassib would have been a 1st round pick as well.

McKenzie does more for this offense than Duke.

He’s having a really good year. I wouldn’t mind locking him long term.
