The Bills' method of winning is unsustainable.
Just in Atlanta replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good teams win games in which they didn't play well. We are a good team. We won. We are good enough to make offensive changes to accommodate defenses and injuries at WR and Oline. Our D, which has issues, makes up for it with aggressive play. Analysis on what can be improved is one thing. This is pure negativity. It simply boggles my mind. And it's completely irrational. Enjoy it already. -

You're right. With four take-aways, they should have scored 14 more points against the Pats, the second best team in the league, and the Eagles, a Superbowl favorite. The Bills suck. -
What PTR, and Al, said.

George Edwards needs to at least be demoted
Just in Atlanta replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crazy pills rampant at TBD. We have more INTs than anyone. Yeah, let's demote him. -
Robots. Guitars. What's not to like about that?

There's something seriously wrong with you people bitching and whining about this. Get help, seriously. I'm no homer. But I haven't seen a Bills team this good in years. Don't you guys see it? This team is 4-1, and just beat a team few people were saying we could beat. We're not perfect. Yeah, we have some issues on D. No one is perfect. Enjoy the fu#!$ing win. Jesus H. Christ, people.

Media love gone. No more NFL darlings. We love underdogs.

Spiller's yards per touch, I think, are higher than Fred's. Plus Spiller is getting passes. Spiller will likely see a decent amount of touches Sunday. So, yep, it is/will be a solid one-two punch. As Chan said, there's only one ball and Fred has been playing so well, and there just hasn't been a lot of circumstances to give Spiller a lot of playing time. I expect more time coming his way this Sunday against a week run D.
-
Offensively, we're about even, even with Vick. We have a great one-two with Spiller and Jackson, and a good WR scheme for their D. Defensively, we have a slightly better run D, which isn't saying much, and they have a better pass rush, which given past games we should hold up to. Secondary seems pretty even. Given Dalton's success running around, I gotta think Ron Mexico runs wild on us. Questions to be answered on Sunday: Will Merriman finally show up? Will the talented Dream Team individuals play as a team? Overall two equal teams, even though we're 3-1 and they're 1-3. Home crowd is the only thing that gives us an edge, based on past games. 33-30 Bills in OT.

Buffalo has become 1 dimensional team
Just in Atlanta replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One dimensional? We have like the 4th leading rusher in the league. He'd be 1st or 2nd if we haven't had to come from behind twice. Our offense is plenty balanced. This offense will be able to adjust to whatever circumstances throw us. Just look at what we're doing with our much-maligned line. On D, on the other hand, even our much-maligned secondary is tied for 1st in takeaways. And our run D, while statically toward the bottom-middle, is still hovering stat-wise around two Ds with historical run-stopping prowess: Jets and Steelers. We only have two serious issues right now: McKelvin's inability to make big plays and our surprising inability to pressure QBs. We get those right, we'll be in the fifth dimension. -
Excellent point. That would be a cool sight.

Just Received my Jerseys
Just in Atlanta replied to FutureBillsGM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just paid $35 for an "authentic" NFL T-shirt online. Made in Mexico. Probably will only last two seasons. Wal-mart has better made shirts, from China. The licensed replica jersies are way overpriced. Authentics are crazy. I have no problem buying from China. The middleman, who is in the US, still makes most of the money. And I don't have to spend an arm and a leg. -
wow...the media is sliding off the bandwagon
Just in Atlanta replied to tennesseeboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am bookmarking this comment and expect a full mea culpa when the team is gunning for a playoff berth being second in the AFC East sitting at 10-6. This is an above average team that will have more ups than downs. Are you really saying it's unrealistic to think this team can't win three more games? -
ESPN Pulls Hank Williams Jr from tonights MNF

Having lived in midstate NY, northwestern NJ, and the South, I can say there are just as many rednecks up there as down here. -

We're all friends here fellas. This is the one place I usually don't have to think about politics. BTW, if I were still in the military he would be my commander in chief. As a civilian, he is simply head of the Executive Branch of government. We need to stop calling him, or any president, our CINC. He does not command me, nor do I want him to. He works for us. -

No one should compare a president, or a janitor, or a country singer, to Hitler. But nonetheless it happened all the time when Bush was president. No one got all excited about it back then--and it happened constantly. Just a little relevance. I agree, Metzelaars. He sounds like a redneck. He won't be back. No place for that nonsense in the NFL. I stand by the fact, though, that it was an analogy--a big, big difference between a comparison. It's a stupid analogy. But the moral outrage is overblown, especially when pop culture uses the Hitler moniker so casually. -

No one should compare anyone to Hitler, right, left or whatever. Unless, of course, the person they are making the comparison of did, in fact, mastermind mass genocide. Having said that, Williams Jr. made no such comparison, really. He was making an analogy, albeit a stupid one. Way overblown. And good point, Kaz, about the Soup Nazi thing. -
Slow game. Ridiculous to review every TD. The refs are making football not very fun tonight. The main one sounds like Ben Stein. He talks soooo slooowww.

I was thinking of adding the option of Dying Niagara Falls pink.

I know this is politically incorrect, but is the NFL's pink breast cancer awareness campaign out of control? Let me preface this by saying I, like many of you, have had people close to me affected by the disease. Let me also preface it by saying I know what tremendous good the foundation behind the campaign has done for breast cancer. But I've also had people close to me affected by other types of cancer. Way too much pink. Pink gloves. Pink socks. Pink hats. Pink websites. Pink coins. Pink in the stands. Even pink shoes. Do they really have to be so in your face? All. Month. Long. I'd rather the NFL just donate a larger chunk of profits to the cause.

I thought this place was on suicide watch
Just in Atlanta replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's nice to see fans of a team that was supposed to go to the Superbowl saying in numbers we're going to bury them. We're the more balanced team and have the upper hand, especially at home, after a loss no less. But we certainly won't be burying the Eagles, who have so many weapons. Our O will come out in force next week, count on it. But can we pressure Vick? And our D is so soft right now. McKelvin in particular blows my mind. He seems at most an arm away from the best receivers in the league at all times, which is amazing, and he occasionally makes a big play, but usually just gets out-muscled. Does he just need to hit the weight room? Or, are his instincts bad? I am not discouraged at all, though. Yesterday's game wasn't a horrible game. We got substantially outplayed, and got two really bad calls, one of which was the momentum turner, and we still lost by only three. That's THE definition of a great team in my mind--one that can win games they get outplayed on (and all great teams occasionally get outplayed). Course great teams also don't blow 17 point leads. But we're almost there. We'll fix it. I won't be sad, or surprised, to see Prozac sales spike in Phili after next Sunday at the Ralph.
