Great hot take, spot on, completely original, how did you come up with it? I mean, it's completely wrong, but its red hot. You've been fooled and are ignorantly arrogant enough to come and try to show it off what you learned on your coach watching Fox. You're the idiot in the Harvard bar in Good Will Hunting merely regurgitated facts without a single opinion of your own and surely none you could back with actual empirical evidence. Read a book, maybe start with an old edition of Mankiw's Principle of Economics you can find for cheap online. The issue IS NOT, despite what you've been brainwashed into believing, that someone takes your money. Dweebs like you are fine when taxes you pay cover (warning economics term coming) public goods like defense, which causes a raging erections for GOP war hawks like yourself. You're totally cool with getting taxed to death for buying guns and spending more than the next 9 countries in the world on defense combined, even if it means running a deficit and even if one more gun and one dollar more in taxation is not necessary. You're also cool with your money being spent on education, or maybe not, I'm not sure you made it past 8th grade. You're implication, when using the tropes "liberal" and "want money you earned" is that your money is used on people you don't like and therefore do not want to help. Likely, you mean the poor, disabled, unemployed, etc. Simply, you don't want your money going to someone who doesn't deserve it. That should also mean, but I guarantee it doesn't because people like you are not only morons but also hypocrites, that you're not OK with corporate handouts like Elon Musk got ($750m in NYS taxpayer dollars to built him a factory) or is that cool because he's successful and we should open our wallets to help billionaires and not the poor? How about our annual stadium subsidy to Pegula? Cool with that right? You can save your indefensible rhetoric and take it to some Proud Boys website where it'll be appreciated sans (means 'without' so you don't have to look it up, it's not in your comic books) proof or evidence.

The Rosen Era Has Begun in Arizona
zonabb replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He sucks because according to threads on this board: 1. The Allen homers here say so because by shear geography their guy is better 2. Jeremy White apparently likes him 3. Liberals like him, although I am not clear how that can be know or where the connection come in, unless 4. Because he's smart and and has an opinion and neanderthals are threatened by intelligence and don't have the mental fortitude to understand anyone who questions normative positions and ideals He doesn't actually suck. He's a rookie, they ALL struggle. Rookies will rookie. -
Can't stand Sal "How Can I Interject ME and/or Max into this Story' Capaccio. Blow hard jock sniffing fanboy. Luckily I only listen to WGR when stuck in someone else's car or the rare time I'm driving for more than 5 minutes. I have come around on Schopp for two reasons. He's intelligent with a mind of his own, not some honk rehashing everyone else's work and ideas, like everyone other analytics regurgitating idiot on those shows (minus Bulldog, he's just doesn't seem to care). The second is, being smart and having to deal with the callers has to be mind numbing. When you want to have intelligent conversations and morons call stating Terry Pegula should be talking to DBs, it probably makes you want to blow your brains out and instead you turn into a condescending jerk, which he clearly can be and I think would admit to it. Those two children they have on at night that just try to act smart by talking about analytics are unbearable.

Privilege? "a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people." Sorry no. It's not a privilege expect for the Pegulas who have the priviledge of a taxpayer funded stadium and STH willing to pay (not be granted) the right to attend games. Get a grip.

Why is McDermott so bland in press conferences?
zonabb replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because.... who cares. They owe the media and fans nothing. Does Tim Cook have a press conference every week taking questions about why your iphone keeps locking up? No. Was he hired because of his oration skills? No. Just who cares. Everyone acts like answers = accountability as if he's accountable to YOU. He's not. So who cares. -
I love this kids passion, hatred of losing, and leadership but he's not going to make it. The flaws are impossible to overcome. The accuracy has not shown one iota of improvement. The decision-making and commitment to throw the ball where he needs to is non-existent. I don't want it to be the case but the the love affair with the tools is neanderthal thinking on the part of the the front office. No one ever fixes these problems and turns a QB into a pro bowler, all pro, or super bowl winner.

Take the Texans, save better teams (Rams, Bears) for later. Their D coupled with the Bills Pop Warner offense ensures that no matter if Watson plays the entire game or not, Houston wins going away. Bills will be lucky if they get a few field goals, which won't be enough.

Game Preview: Bills vs Texans by John Murphy
zonabb replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John Murphy has zero credibility as a commentator since his radio show where he's turned into an old angry homer who can't accept any nor deal any criticism from or toward the Bills. Add that he's on the Bills' payroll, he's more useless. I think he might just side with the Bills always to side with the Bills but it's gross. -
My personal vow regarding Josh Allen: Who is with me
zonabb replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like the young man as a person, a competitor and a leader... seems to check the boxes here. But I didn't want him because of the lengthy history of players with lifelong, uncorrected and uncorrectable flaws, specifically the accuracy and the ability to read defenses, which leads to both inaccuracy and indecisiveness imo. You can practice it in shorts all day long because you are focused 100% on mechanics and footwork and not someone running at your to kill you. But the corrections don't take in the games when live bullets are flying. There is a litany of physical specimens that coaches and GMs have arrogantly felt like they could fix because they fell in love with the tools. Allen's flaws were so deep that selecting him because of an incorrect perception that his ceiling was higher than Rosen's (those were the two options at 7) floor is egregiously arrogant and going to cost both of these guys their jobs in the long run, unless they have the balls to double-down and draft a QB each year and strike gold. I wanted to see 4 games to make a call and I've seen enough to mail it in. He's OK when he has time, but this league isn't one where you have time, you have to be good moving around and he's not, his errors get magnified when he's moving. I will say this is a case where I'd love to be wrong. Completely. But we've seen enough flawed QBs in the post-Kelly era to know that despite coaches stating otherwise, the flaws were never fixable. -
Sean McDermott: "Culture Trumps Strategy" ?
zonabb replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the week I officially am throwing in the towel on McD. Gave him the benefit of the doubt for a season plus. I am a huge believer in good people and building around intelligence but I am laughing at this statement for its idiocy and ignorance. I was willing to put up with the monotone pressers because I don't care how he responds to their questions because as far as I am concerned they are owned nothing and neither are we. When was the last time we had a an open-questions weekly press conference from a private business in WNY other than the Bills? But watching this team's bad football (execution), bad scheme and coaching, and bad talent, I can honestly say they've lost me. What he is saying when he says "culture" is about people and talent. I agree wholeheartedly that you don't fill your team with idiots and a-holes who put themselves before the team. But as a coach and leader, you should be able to deal with a few wayward and talented souls as long as you're a good leader and people either respect or follow you. And it appears to me their aversion to non-process guys has lead them to believe, falsely, that they ca win with culture alone, and that is the dumbest thing I've heard a coach stammer here in a long time. He is right about one thing, his strategy as a coach seems to take a backseat to all else. This is some bad talent playing a bad scheme on offense. It's the least progressive and creative football in the league. And Allen unfortunately is down with the ship for me too. Like the kid but all the culture in the world won't make this year a learning opportunity for him because he does not have the talent around him to actually learn and improve. And I think in all honesty, losing Eric Wood is the biggest loss for Allen's development. Titans 27-7 -
2nd Home Game--Tickets below face already
zonabb replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Think this is my last season. I can't make this game and can't sell the tickets. I don't go to the preseason games and get robbed of $300+ to "buy" tickets to see guys who will be cut. I can't make the Thanksgiving weekend and I probably won't be able to give those away. That's four games x $160 per game or $640 I know I am going to eat before the December doldrums. Love going but sick of burning money. -
Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.
zonabb replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD is not Andy Reid. Kid is good but Reid and the weapons are huges reason for is success, as well as the patience to sit him for a year. Most wanted to play Allen right away and that was and is a mistake. I think Allen's collapse (eventual) and Mahomes success (eventual) will cost this regime. QBs cost management their jobs. -
Have a question (couldn’t watch the game)
zonabb replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't see it yesterday but say a stat somewhere today that on his 29 drops, he was sacked, pressured or knocked down 24 times. Some is on him for holding it too long but also on the radio Tasker said he put the OL in the wrong protections and didn't know where to go with the ball. And the OL was overmatched as lot as well, hence no running game. -
This is why I hate reporters trying to use data to make a point. And also their misinterpretation of the value of analytics. They cherry pick and use data to lie and support their argument. Which of these trends would you prefer (sorry for the bad resolution, working on a laptop without my standard programs). Anyway, one is the actual completion percentage trend. One is the trend the reporter would have us believe is the case, one would be our worst nightmare. So the garbage argument about the completion percentage fails to take into consideration any temporal reality. Garbage. More reason to ignore power rankings, especially teams at the bottom since the people doing them don't put much effort into their lazy analysis.

Do you realize the only skill used on this play is heaving the ball as far as you can at some general location in the endzone? No reading the D, no audible, no touch pass on a cross, just heave it. So why, after missing the time he did with the injury he had, would you bring in Luck for a skill-less and low probability throw when he's working to get this arm strength back? You bring in Uncle Rico for this if you want. Turns out when you go looking just for evidence to support your theory rather than look at all evidence, you are a garbage researcher and scientist. Confirmation bias is the most used approach on TSW.

TNF: Jets @ Browns (TT vs Darnold)
zonabb replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just did the same and laughed at myself. -
When Poloncarz says "we" have to decide it brings up some interesting things. First. that "we" is merely tokenism democracy and the reality is, both based on who got to see this draft before it was released, and the fact that developers (see: donors) and the Visit Buffalo Niagara tourism rely on and have input into this decision, means there is not decision. It's been made and Poloncarz and other political and business insiders have already made a decision on this, which is "yes" build it to support and double down on corporate welfare handouts to Paladino, Zemsky, Sinatra, Ciminell, Musk etc. so we as taxpayers and further ensure they make profit. Second, if "we" as a community decide (not sure how this happens since there's not vote and no transparency in decision making) that this is a good idea, then WE are part of the problem in WNY for believing these type of projects have any benefit for the average person. Think about what a convention center is. It's a place for visitors to come and attend some conference, rent a hotel room, and consume in bars and restaurants. All that funnels money to... the same entities who bars, restaurants, and hotels we as taxpayers have already supported through some form of subsidy or outright gift. Politicians argue it benefits the region through job creation, both a convention center and the hospitality industry it serves. But in reality, we're subsidizing and supporting low wage service jobs that should be for teenagers and college kids and instead end up being careers for some because this economy is low functioning for high quality knowledge economy workers because we continue to focus on these bad projects. So who wins? Developers and politicians who continue their quid pro quo relationship whereby politicians funnel money and profit to them in exchange for campaign donations to keep them in office. So if we want this region to change, let's get away from these stupid silver bullet projects and get to meaningful change. Third, a convention center is really a dumb idea. How does Buffalo compete from November to April for conventions with Atlanta, Tampa, Austin, LA, Charlotte, Miami, New Orleans, etc. Or even Chicago or Minneapolis or NYC or Boston if someone wants to hold a convention in the northern cities. We don't, that's how. Just an absolute garbage idea. And I don't care what a consultant paid to investigate the feasibility of a convention center says when they know they're being hired to tell politicians it's a good idea. Lastly, I suspect a connection between this and a Bills stadium in some way. A multiple purpose "district" is an easier sell (not that Poloncarz or anyone will sell it, they'll jam it down our throats) when you move from a stadium for 10 days a year to a stadium plus a convention center for 25 days a year. If I were these politicians, I'd triple down. A stadium that is for the Bills and UB and the convention center. UB's stadium sucks and state money funneled to the Bills through UB is easier all around sell. Although I suspect most Bills fans are OK with handing a billionaire their tax money to ensure his profit, but this STH isn't.

Alabama would beat the Buffalo Bills, 'analysts' say
zonabb replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So a team of NFL players drafted or signed in the NFL would lose to a team of boys where not all 22 starters are even close to NFL talent? Got it. -
Sully: On Second Thought, the Buffalo Bills Really ARE That Bad
zonabb replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haha this loser has an outlet somewhere. Must need rent money or continued counseling to try and understand why his daughter is a stripped and his first wife left him. Or he could save that and just buy a mirror. Loser. -
Watching Goff make some inaccurate throws... and Bob Woods and Kupp making great catches. QB accuracy is not all on the QB. I was not an Allen fan when he was picked but I think he showed promise today, especially with his willing to stand in there and make throws. Maybe I've been so oversaturated with TT and EJ setting off to run at the first sign of trouble. Kids got the guts necessary to be successful in this league. The rest you hope he can improve on. One thing that's stunning today, from maybe 20 or so years ago (when I was a kid!), is that patience from fans and owners seems to be non-existent. In a QB-driven league with a deficit of good QBs, no one seems to want to be patient. Everyone expects every QB to be excellent from day one. Just not the reality for all. Heard on the radio today Manning had 28 INTs his first season. I think Aikman and Kelly had 3 wins. And unfortunately for Allen, he doesn't have the hand-sy guys like a Woods and an OL that could get him killed. Hard for the game to slow down, for perfect progressions, and great footwork on all throws. And reading the D pre-snap.... no one is good at that with 6 quarters of NFL regular season action. Takes time. I'd be interested, after a game and a half, if these national (and of course local and TBD) experts can discern any improvement in his footwork/mechanics.

Over the years, this site has utterly devolved into childish posts and Kim Jong Un authoritarianism.. I'm no angel by any means but the decline in quality posters with informative opinions has decline and the one line snark responses to opinions people don't agree with is out of hand, and I am now stooping... can't beat 'em join 'em. But even worse than that has been the censorship and dictatorial approach of the owners/mods. Sorry but if Colin Cowherd is a Scumbag is vague, along with a host of other "vague title" flags, you're both illiterate and lost. What seems to be issue here is the blanching of this forum to appease advertisers. As well as the raging boner for the media who come here and demand respect and the mods who work hard to force everyone to adhere. I'll never respect Wawrow. You can warning point me to death. Aside from his vapid work, I had to watch his childish fanboy act at a Tommy Stinson show a few years ago and I was embarrassed for him an everyone who had to see his act.
