  1. Wow this Bills defense looks like they have watched no film on Lamar Jackson or Henry. Totally gullible defense.
  2. I agree and as much as I cannot stand the Chiefs that was superb. A hurry up FG!! But it just points out that if you have intelligent coaches and smart players you can pull these type of plays off that go against what most small brain NFL coaches would think possible.
  3. Well the Cowboys looked better than I though they would and sadly they let Philly off the hook. As for Philly, What's worse than a team full of dbags? A team full of dbags with the swagger of winning the SB! Seriously what pro athlete spits on people? Oh yes Luis Suarez, but in the NFL? On the bright side he didnt bite anybody! Finally, CD Lamb is an NFL receiver? The way he dropped the ball repeatedly last night, he looked like a high school kid learning to play with a helmet on for the first time. Just killer chokes on several plays for Dallas that lost them the game.
  4. I was 22 when they made it to the first one. If they played that game 10 times, the Bills win 9/10 but every piece of bad luck hit the Bills that night. Sure Bellichick came up with some wizardry, the Bills players were overconfident and possibly hung over, Marv wasnt a coach to make adjustments on the fly. But all that considered they should have beaten that Giants team. Had they won that first game every game after changes. Who knows maybe they wouldnt have gone to 4 in a row? I think they would have won 2-3 but after that loss got in their heads they could never get over the hump and could never do what they had to do to win in that high pressure game. Watching Norwood miss is still one of the worst moments of my life (as trivial as that seems with all of lifes triumphs and tragedies). Over the past 34 years, when I have seen replays of the game and the miss, I sometimes get a fleeting memory of that horrible despair I felt in that moment and its awful. They have to win one to get that weight off me!!
  5. I only ever used these sites to watch Scottish SPL soccer (yes a very niche and pretty much 3rd tier product but rarely on legit tv and never cheap). I never used this particular site but using an illegal streaming site has been a mega pain in the butt for years now. Clicking on the link which pops up another link which closes the first link, then leads you to a maze of other links. If you try to close the window or the tab pressing the X it pops up another tab and just when things are working, the stream goes down!! Not worth the effort most of the time.
  6. Remember when we used to use trick plays to such amazing effect in our offense with Daboll? and then with the Dorsey they became somehow discredited as "gadgets" or not "real" football? Even though we have an amazing QB who can pull them off? Then Brady tried one vs the Ravens last year that almost got Josh killed because of its poor execution and we seemed to have abandoned them ever since?
  7. Its a nice feel good story to have Gabe back but he is coming off a serious injury that most people are never the same from after. TBH I'm still pissed that they let Hollins go to the Pats. He was so much better than Gabe last year.
  8. Yes!!! That is "how you do it"!!
  9. Had some hope that the guy could be better than Trubisky but that 2nd preseason game ended that idea. Pretty damning when you cannot outduel Trubisky for the backup.
  10. All in all, its an unusually feel good story for Pro sports that Tre is coming back. I will say that his tenure with the Rams was a disaster but by the end of his time in Baltimore he was actually looking pretty good. The mentorship element is the big piece here for the organization.
  11. This was the tail end of an era where CFL salaries were comparable to NFL ones. It wasnt long after that the TV money for the NFL and consequently the salary money exploded and left the CFL in the dust. NFL players overall had relatively modest salaries before the 80s even though they were the best of the best. Cousineau was a great player for Montreal and its easy to see why the Browns wanted him badly enough to overpay with picks and money. Funny how they are still doing that 40 years later!!
  12. So the NFL used to think that KO's were dangerous but now they want to encourage less touchbacks, which will result in more KO returns and more dangerous possibilities?? Limiting the style and ability to do onside kicks also is ridiculous. One of the best gambles in SB history was the surprise onside kick by NO in SB in 2010.
  13. Every time I see that dude's name, my brain blurts out: Never say die, Iron Eagle!!!
  14. None of this matters unless the refs are assisted in spotting the ball by the technology. In the Bills KC game they managed to screw that up on 5 occasions throughout the game. In some cases, badly. There is already a chip in the ball (according to some sources) so as long as they can connect that to the software (even when the ball is in the bottom of a pile) then there is some hope. But the ineptitude of the refs is the big elephant in the room.
  15. I was so pumped as a 17 year old fan that we got Kelly that I thought that we would literally win every game! Once the reality that Kelly was great but the team and the coaches were a train wreck it was pretty devastating! I remember the loss to TB in this year to be particularly agonizing! But that's what got Bullough fired and Marv in the door.
  16. I think its incredible how much he got. NFL GMs are the dumbest in pro sports. In some ways good on him for getting top dollar but the Pats? Really? He told all their fans "F U" after his TD and generally had a complete disdain for the franchise.
  17. I am beyond furious we let Hollins go! Made so many clutch plays , had zany confidence and swagger and has won a SB. All that for a bargain price. Absolute stupidity by the Bills!
  18. Peterman and its not even close. Statistically worse QB performance ever, a chance to pull out a playoff game with a comeback and failed miserably. All that bad enough but what makes him worse for me is that McD and Beane kept believing in him that he was almost there and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances he got ? No Bill ever had! Why he got a shot, I'll never know!
  19. What drove me nuts about our loss to the Chiefs was the slow adjustments. With the exception of Mahomes fumble, we weren't getting much pressure and our zone looked like a prevent defense in the first quarter. Receivers were running 5 yards open with no press and with Bills DBs standing still like statues. To make matters worse, there seemed to be no spy on Mahomes, so whenever he did escape the pocket he ran wild. You cannot tell me that even with middling talent that have that we couldnt do what the Eagles did or even come close. That game was amateur hour for McD and Babich and their defense.
  20. Over and over it comes back to using the right scheme and strategy with the players you have to give you a maximum shot at success. And that always comes back to McD. Its easy to win with superstars at the key positions but what Fangio did with lesser talent was a master class. Apparently McD is no Fangio and maybe we need a much more seasoned DC than a puppet on strings like Babich.
  21. Reid is a great coach and I'm glad he won a SB but there's been several big games where he has been exposed as completely clueless as to how to adjust when things were going poorly. I think this last SB is probably one of the worst games he's ever coached. The TB SB loss and the last loss to Brady in the AFCCG were also great examples of Reid being a deer in the headlights. Sirianni, did a great job in focusing his team this year and that demolition of the Chiefs will probably be seen as his finest hour.
  22. Interesting topic and one that I struggle with as a Bills fan. We owe a lot to McD for bringing this club back and creating a great culture but when people rightfully point out how well Fangio did with a defensive squad of mid grade talent, I start to wonder what is the point of continuing with McD. Defense is supposed to be McD's specialty but his defensive schemes with arguably the same talent as Fangio's Philly squad have let us down in every big game. McD isnt an offensive guy, not a ST coach, he is definitely not known as a master chess player game manager. And if his defensive schemes and ideas have been exposed in every big game over the last 5 years that has been clearly pointed out and supported with evidence, then what is the point of keeping him? I always thought that the Bills would win the SB despite him, but the last few years have proved me wrong and I think that in at least 2 of the 5 losses (13 seconds and the Cincy game), McD's terrible defensive coaching was 100% responsible for the loss. I dont think that firing McD will happen but maybe thats what we need?
  23. Rodgers definitely has a lock on the title NFL GOAT of all douches!
  24. It really surprised me how a great defensive game plan could not just hamper Mahomes but completely neutralize him. Obviously the Eagles have a greater talent on the D line than we do or did Fangio really work wonders with the group he had and the scheme? In addition, their defensive backs were on the Chiefs receivers the whole game. Both were glaring failures for the Bills vs KC .
