Great game overall and yes the Rams could easily be 5-0 had they not shot themselves in the foot in the 2 losses. Really impressed with Stafford as he looked done a couple of years ago but is now excelling again into that age zone that Brady and Brees were still really good in.

The Eagles are already showing this trend in the positive this season after becoming champs. They are getting all the iffy calls their way and not being called on cheating. And Sauce is right bad teams get calls from the refs that are assumption calls. The officials just assume that a crap team just cant do anything positive without cheating.

McD exposes the real culprit of the Bills' defensive failures!!

Hawes caught a well executed old school screen pass from Allen on Sunday. For some unknown reason that is a play that we rarely do with Knox or Kincaid. If they were just going to use him for that once a game he is valuable!

The Bills O should be able to impose their will if Brady doesn't get too conservative. The defense? I am not sure. Maye looks like the real deal but he is prone to mistakes if you come up with a creative defensive game plan that disguises coverages. The Steelers seem to have done this when they beat the Patriots (and really didn't deserve to). Is Babich capable of doing so? I hope so. But Milano and Oliver coming back would be nice.

The penalty given when the offense snaps the ball and a defensive player who is exiting the field on defense has one foot in the field of play seems a little ridiculous to me. I mean how many times must the players etc on the sidelines accidentally step their toes on the field during a live play technically doing the same thing. Should the NFL refs / replay assist flag those too?

Forget the bad tackling, that was bad enough but the Bills had 4-5 straight up whiffs where the defensive players were grabbing at air today.

Sadly you are right and add to that the lack of adjustments or situational awareness adds to the problem. 13 seconds is the best example but it has happened before and since. If your entire defensive strategy is hoping that one of your players steps up in a situation to steal the game that's a bit scary.

Whoever wins this. I hope they both are bruised and battered by the end.

The one thing that I notice that the Bills D is consistently bad at throughout the McD era is confusing opposing opposing Qbs with their formations/looks. They make young Qbs look like seasoned vets (today was yet another example) and they make QBs who are mediocre or poor look like Tom Brady (Wentz and Trubisky for ex). This has been happening from Frazier to McD to Babich. Yes we have some big injuries but I think that the schemes and strategies that McD consistently employs put us in a worse position. When we had Poyer and Hyde playing at their peak and Milano at his best we had ball hawks who could make up for these deficiencies but those days are over. Bishops INT was exactly what we would get from those guys at least once a game. Not any more (unless Bishop has finally arrived). When you have experienced a Wade Philipps or Jim Schwartz defense, McD's just don't cut it.

Have you ever seen a penalty called for this? Unsportsmanlike conduct is a wide spectrum and pretty arbitrary at times but I have never seen this called in 46 years of watching the NFL. I can imagine that there is a lot of trash talking at the line, how would the refs even hear it?
