  1. You know, as bad as this is, based off the past two weeks I don't think we would be any better off with Taylor behind center. That makes me sad.
  2. Not like we are out of this one. Luckily the Chargers are just as inept at this point. Would rather him get it out of the way and learn.
  3. Just finally watched Peterman's highlights from the Saints game and I am impressed at his poise, his progressions, his decision making, his footwork, and his arm strength. Not to mention he actually threw the ball to a wide receiver.
  4. Everything has sucked for the last seventeen years or else we wouldn't be having a 52 page thread about a quarterback change. I don't get the love for Roman, or any of his predecessors, or for Taylor or any of the quarterbacks that came before him (except Flutie, he was the last good one). If Peterman is good, then great, we make the playoffs and we build around him. If he sucks, then we get our franchise guy in the first and then we shed the cap space from Taylor's contract. Win-win.
  5. Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I found it on Facebook.
  6. I think Peterman's decision making is quicker so that ball is going to come out a lot faster.
  7. Reading more into the DYAR (Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement), DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), and QBR (Total QBR) statistics....I think it demonstrates pretty fairly that Tyrod Taylor is not going to carry the Bills to the playoffs. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/print/55472?
  8. Making the mistake of listening to WGR...after weeks and weeks of criticizing Tyrod, they are now bashing Peterman and praising Taylor as the second coming of Jim Kelly.
  9. Watching Twitter and most Taylor supporters are touting the defense failed him line. Yeah, Taylor didn't allow 298 rushing yards, but he sure as hell didn't do anything to keep the offense on the field. A few first downs, an extended drive, a scoring drive, would have given the defense a breather and potentially changed the momentum of the game. His decision making failed the defense.
  10. The only way to gain experience is to play. He needs to see these defenses, he needs to get hit, he needs to experience the speed of the game...and he will, he will read these defenses, he will get back up, and he will adjust. It's not like sitting on the bench for the rest of the season will make Peterman any more ready than he will be for week 11.
  11. One thing I like about Peterman is that he has been under one system and one coaching staff, and most importantly he is not Rex's guy or Marrone's guy....he is our guy. Win or lose, he is the way forward at OBD.
  12. I think what sealed Taylor's fate was talking to the press after the game. Also, its nice to be excited about a Bills game again!
  13. What concerns me the most is the very conservative play calling despite being blown out against New Orleans. Generally when you are down by multiple scores, that is the time to lay everything out there and be aggressive, go for broke since there is nothing to lose. Maybe they are holding back some of the playbook, but why continue to check down? I think that is the most damning part of this past Sunday is that we have a Head Coach and a Quarterback that are incapable of being aggressive and going off script and are not talented enough to carry this team to the playoffs. Our offensive line is not talented enough to protect our Quarterback. Our pass rush is non-existent and our secondary can be picked on and beaten. I know based off record alone, the Bills remaining schedule leads one to believe a few more wins are possible, but believe me, those teams paid attention. Anthony Lynn paid attention. Andy Reid paid attention. Adam Gase paid attention, and you know damn well Bill Belichick paid attention. Those head coaches can be aggressive and so can their quarterbacks and defenses. They can adjust. They will punish us and we will finish the season no better than 6-10 or 7-9.
  14. That is an unfair statement. The only reason any of us are still here posting on this forum is because we can't find our way off the wagon.
  15. The quote about the baseball pitcher was the most concerning thing about this presser....it made me believe that McDermott still thinks Taylor will develop into a franchise quarterback. Someone should tell him that Taylor has been in the league for seven years and it is just not going to happen. Also, don't get the love for Tolbert.
  16. All he is doing is coaching for his next job. See you guys next season.
  17. I hate that NFL head coaches can be so damn conservative. Odds are you are only going to be in a job for a few years. Go for broke. Break the streak in Buffalo and you are made. Go 6-10 and join the list of futility and broken promises.
  18. It is just not going to happen with Tyrod. He has been in the league for seven years. This is what he is, he is not capable of carrying a team.
  19. Probably the Music City Miracle. Also when I had to relive it when I saw the Bills play the Titans in Nashville.
  20. Doesn't matter what you think or how you feel about it, he exercised his First Amendment right. As a veteran I support his completely. If you have a problem with it, you need to look in the mirror and ask your self why?
  21. Statistics aside, players like Kurt Warner and Joe Namath changed the culture of not only their franchises, but also the NFL, which alone should get them in to the Hall of Fame. That is why players with superior statistics are not elected, they left no memorable impact on the game.
