  1. Ha! That is exactly that. I bet many of us go through that today.
  2. I am certainly coming around to the pick. Last night I was pretty unhappy with it, but all we can really do is hope he puts it all together. Can't be any worse than what we have had, and if it works out we have our guy, and if not, then we try again in three years.
  3. Big time. I think politics played a huge role in the Allen over Rosen pick. Anyone with football sense knows Rosen was the better QB.
  4. All I am saying is if you continue to make excuses for him he will never understand why it was wrong and he will never grow.
  5. Two things: he has never been good at any level and he knew what he was saying in those tweets. Don't make excuses for him, he will have to prove himself. Until he does, this was a terrible pick.
  6. I wonder if we can't move up if we don't try to pry away Nick Foles or Andrew Luck? I know Philly wants to move up and Indy has lots of needs and seems happy with Brissett under center.
  7. As the kids get older I find I get more grief about stuff like this. After I help get the kids to bed I will get some time to watch it.
  8. I don't know if I want them to trade up to No. 2 for the QB or just to get ahead of the Jets at this point. Its all blurred together.
  9. Sell the farm for No.2 and then send the Giants a thank you card on Friday. We need this.
  10. If we have Stafford we go to the playoffs every year. There is a reason he was given the big contract.
  11. It's about time they try something different. It will be worth it.
  12. It is all about that fifth year option for the Browns, but I think it will take next year's first to get to no. 4. There may not be much left to get from no. 4 to no. 2 unless you include a player (Shady).
  13. Does anyone know the date this piece was published? Can't access the online but we have the NY Times here at my library.
  14. As a veteran I am good with the term, so don't worry about it.
  15. Exactly, there is no need to screen the first overall pick. At this point though, I honestly believe it will come to a coin flip.
  16. Can we get to tomorrow night already? When was the last time we went into a draft not knowing who the number one overall pick will be? I also feel the Browns trade out of either No. 1 or No. 4, they can't afford the fifth year option on both.
  17. Hey, to be fair, I would have taken Tebow....all that kid did was win.
  18. The Bills are going to have to overpay. But it will be worth it, especially with all of that cap space next year. If you have the man under center, someone people believe can take a team to the promised land, I guarantee that free agents will notice.
  19. This is what you have to worry about on Thursday. If you are not aggressive and are reluctant to pay that price to get the player you want, just remember, there will be another team that will be willing to pay. There always is.
  20. Poorly worded on my part. I do appreciate the due diligence and hard work of this coaching staff, I honestly feel more confident than I have in quite a while. However, I am hoping that they do not repeat past mistakes and stay conservative, particularly when it comes to the QB position. Yes, there are prospects that can be had later in the draft that could pan out, but I want them to take that risk and try something different. I want them to continue planning for the future, but a future where they are contenders, not still looking for their "franchise" guy. Sometimes they don't fall, sometimes you have to reach for them.
  21. This is a win now league. When do you stop planning for the future and field a contender?
  22. I understand that there is quite a bit of apprehension about giving up the farm for a Quarterback, especially in a draft deep in other positions. However, this draft class predicts to be the best overall for Quarterbacks for the foreseeable future. If not this year, then when? Are you going to hedge your bets on Drew Locke next year? It's not like franchise level Quarterbacks hit the free agent market that often. Every once in a while, you just have to take that risk. I hope that is what happens this year, but history has shown we have a hard time venturing out into the unknown.
  23. As I said, I am just lowering my expectations and venting.
  24. They could achieve this by trading out of No. 1 (for No. 12, No. 22, No. 53, and 2019 1st), and then trading back up to No. 6. Then it would Chubb at 4, Barkley at 6, and Jackson at 22.
