  1. What else are they going to spend the money on? How often do you get a shot at an elite talent in their prime? But I guess the decision to go with journeymen, role players, and draft day reaches has to pay off sometime. Build that culture McBeane. Build that culture.
  2. Antonio Brown is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL. You want the best players on your team. You build cap space to be able to afford those players. But in a league where talent is the most important thing, McDermott and Beane opted to build a culture instead of a contender. Free agents, especially those wanting to win in the near future, are going to question the commitment of the Bills willingness to build a contender. That is what I got out of this. We have the money, we have the roster space, and we have one hell of a fan base, but for some reason, none of the top players want to play for the Bills.
  3. If a player that truly hates his situation is unwilling to come to Buffalo, what does that say about our franchise? To me it does not bode well for free agency.
  4. You deal with it then. Two years of Antonio Brown at the top of his game is better than anything else we will come up with either in free agency or the draft. I get what McDermott is trying to do in building a certain locker room culture, but realistically personalities do not win football games.
  5. We have the cap space....what else are we going to spend the money on? I would trade for him and then give him the extension.
  6. I would love for the Bills to pickup Brown. He is an immediate impact player and if he can be had for a second or third round pick, I would do the deal in a heartbeat. I just know that they are going to pass on him based on personality.
  7. You know...I stopped watching the game in the 3rd Quarter, so I hadn't seen the play and was willing to give Clay the benefit of the doubt. Just watched it on Youtube....I would spend the rest of the season evaluating the other tight ends and make sure Clay didn't see the field again in a Bills uniform.
  8. Hey....just because we sat in chairs all day doesn't mean they gave us good chairs or promoted good posture lol. I mean that did have something to do with it, I was an imagery analyst so I sat staring at computer screens all day....but it was something I was born with but didn't discover til later on in my service when the impacts of training and a bad fall made it worse.
  9. I was USAF for almost five years before I was medically retired for having a bad neck. Actually found the TBD community whiled deployed in '09.
  10. It would also go against McDermott's locker room culture.
  11. Glad you have a monopoly on being a Bills fan. You must also be quite the NFL analyst. Tell me...how's that working out for you?
  12. It is amazing to me that McDermott could not find a single QB coach with actual experience coaching QBs this decade, or even last decade for that matter.
  13. This offense is statistically worse than both the 1-15 and 0-16 Browns. We are allowed to criticize this coaching staff and front office. The NFL is a win now league. It is a "what have you done for me this season" league. And for those that presume that a rebuild must be accompanied by arguably the worst offense in NFL history is either 1. 10 years old 2. older, but similar maturity.
  14. McDermott and Beane mishandled the quarterback situation by not keeping a veteran quarterback on the roster. They mishandled it by not having an actual QB coach on the staff. Most of all, McDermott mishandled the quarterback situation by valuing culture over talent.
  15. Stop trying to be smart and playing matchups. They don’t have the talent. They aren’t going to make the playoffs, so I would open it up completely. No huddle, aggressive, and every trick play in the book. Go for broke.
  16. Peterman is going to stick around and I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts a few more games this season. I also wouldn’t be surprised if McDermott allows him to compete for the starting job again next year. He is the poster boy for McDermott’s ideal of culture. He goes when McDermott goes.
  17. And so are Front Office Executives who don’t know how to run a football team.
  18. So if we don’t score a touchdown today does Daboll get fired?
  19. I posted these names on 10/30.....These are my ideal candidates: Shanahan, Schottenheimer, David Shaw or Jim Harbaugh
  20. Shanahan, Schottenheimer, David Shaw or Jim Harbaugh
  21. I want someone that knows how to build an offense. Someone that can evaluate talent beyond how they fit into a culture. I want someone that can call plays on offense when needed. Good Defensive Coordinators are a dime a dozen. Defenses no longer win in this NFL. They keep you in games, but they do not win them. McDermott is a glorified D-Coordinator, who is over his head as a head coach.
  22. Well. At least you can't get any lower that #32 in offense right? (ESPN.com) He is here because he fits McDermott's ideal of "culture".
  23. We are 2-6 with statistically one of the worst offenses in the modern era. We haven't scored a touchdown in two games. We only have seven offensive touchdowns in the first half of the season. These moves led to these problems and will lead to top-end free agents avoiding Buffalo in the offseason despite the cap space.
  24. Is it wrong that I have zero faith in Beane to make any correct decisions when it comes to this roster?
  25. Seeing on Twitter that the Bills are asking for a 4th for Shady.
