  1. You're close. The article I read said you should leave the tv set turned on (preferably Turner Classic Movies) as the noise in the background is comforting. So yes, anything on the tv that includes "show tunes" is acceptable.
  2. I read this in the Reader's Digest some time ago and it seemed to work: Get some ceramic bowls (not plastic, not paper). Mix one cup gingerale, a TB of baking soda and four TB's of deli mustard. Put that mixture in each bowl. Then, place each bowl with the mixture in it in each corner of the house or apartment in question. Here's the key: Every three hours, place two tablespoons of bubble bath in the bowl and stir for 60 seconds. I heard "Mr. Bubble" is best. I guess the idea is the scent of the bubble bath mixed with gingerale and baking soda makes the cats hold their bladder longer than usual until they find the litter box. Tell me how it goes.
  3. Plus, he's not a FB...so that's another strike against him. We need more FB's.
  4. You said Zay Jones is not a #1 WR and we need to draft for upside (i.e. retain Sammy because he was drafted in Round 1). My point is Antonio Brown was drafted in Round 6....and he is most certainly a #1 WR for the Steelers.
  5. Antonio Brown says "What choo talkin bout Willis?"
  6. It was a good match. I watched while drinking Cletus' beer. Then the maple tree root got in the way.
  7. Yeah, but you couldn't even handle Country Cletus at last year's opener...how you gonna handle Rodent?
  8. Cornelius Bennett...his mom called him "Biscuit" Marquis Goodwin...ya know he was an Olympic long jumper Kiko Alonso....he actually walked into someone else's apartment and fell asleep on their couch.
  9. My understanding is that even if we cut Hauschka before Week 10 (say he's playing lights out and won us a few games with clutch kicks) we can still bring him back afterwards and still qualify for the above comp pick scenario. Am I wrong?
  10. Thrown or caught?
  11. He also said something about cutting a guy like DiMarco before week 1 with the understanding that we'd bring him back right after...there's a risk he might jump ship and go elsewhere. Funny how the system lets the team gamble on something like that.
  12. http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/28023/how-the-bills-can-tweak-their-roster-to-snag-a-2018-third-round-pick Interesting article (for Rodak). I could see Beane releasing three of our FA signings but maybe not four. Good possibility we get a third round comp pick.
  13. Another one I forgot about..."The Girl Next Door". "We're a !@#$ing tripod". High school movie and good sound track.
  14. RIP. Although I never listened to his music, I did listen to his videos posted here and on YouTube. I don't see the attraction but who am I to judge what you guys like? Still, I saw the video of him and his daughter singing. I feel for that young lady.
  15. Back to the Future? Ferris Buellers Day Off?
  16. Would you put "Dead Poets Society" in this category? I suppose it is high school based (private). Same with "Taps" which was one of my favorites as a kid...before anyone really knew who Timothy Hutton, Sean Penn, Tom Cruise were. Military high school.
  17. McDermott/Beane are a firm believer in building through the draft. I can see this stat improving over the course of the next few years. However, does the above article include lost players like Kiko (who we traded away), A. Williams (career ending injury), Gilmore (lost because we can't afford him)?
  18. That prosthetic leg is very realistic. Nice work Bills!!
  19. Ask any guy here from TX and I bet they'll say Varsity Blues is an accurate portrayal of high school football down south. That's what made it entertaining IMO...they are rabid down there. I'm a Denzel fan, so I'm partial to his work.
  20. Or Remember the Titans. But Varsity Blues had some comedy in it....small town football where every parent has an opinion on how to run the team. A microcosm of our favorite football team fanbase.
  21. This thread morphed from "Class" to "coaching". So I'll say Marrone was a coach, Levy was a teacher and McDormant is a leader of men. Seriously, McDormant may be our coach for 20 years (he has the "it factor" as Whaley called it).
