  1. This Stats don't lie. Well done. Wait for it....3,2,1...."but he slid short of the first down". It's coming.
  2. Kids these days are persistent. It's too bad. Eventually, my son or daughter will meet up with those kids and the playing field will be tilted back in my kids' favor.
  3. Alpha also didn't get the screen capture of Tyrod Taylor ever throwing for over 300 yds in regulation...or the final standings after his two seasons showing a winning season. I would be happy to send those pics of 300 yd games or a winning season but my google search timed out. Oh wait...some guy above said I shouldn't bump this thread but I can't sit back and watch people castigate the only successful QB in a Bills uni in the last 15 yrs. #kyleonthewall
  4. Didn't realize Tyrod delivered us a winning season and a gift wrapped playoff spot (but for decision to start EJ for four games). If I'm wrong please post link. I'll hang up and listen.
  5. 9-7 is no joking matter (11-5 if Orton started from day one). But no...keep dwelling on his slide as per Marrone's direction. Gawd...does no one understand the significance of this man in the history of our franchise? A beacon of light that called us to the end of a rainbow named Lombardi. We tasted success, we sipped from the cup of victory and now we spit that sweet taste on the floor and say "but he slid!" I, for one, will keep these posts in my memory bank of ungrateful fans and now you made the list.
  6. Yep. Same here. Either you wore the school issued "ball huggers" or nude. I opted against the ball buggers because of how well endowed I am.
  7. There you go again with the "sliding first down" argument. If I had a nickel for every time someone brought this up I'd be a rich man. I seem to remember Thurman forgot his helmet during a Superbowl...he's "Wall worthy". I recall Joe Ferguson hanging his head in shame after a third interception in multiple games...he's "Wall worthy". How 'bout Bruce Smith not attending pre season training camp because he didn't feel like it...yep, "Wall worthy". Then there's Marv Levy who lost four Superbowls...he's on that Wall. Yet the success we enjoyed during the 90's seems to be a dream, a mirage of our Glory Days without any warm glow of a return to the big game....until 2014...that's when we had that chance. We had a fire in our bellies, we walked the walk and had the first winning season in the time it takes most people to raise a 12 year old. This time in our team history was due to one man, one vision, a plethora of skills and leadership traits....and all you can do is point to one play where he slid to the ground when his coach told him to?? Tsk, tsk. Here's an idea: instead of criticizing success and leadership, let's reward the man with the accolades he deserves. I've about had it with this argument of yours and I'm fired up. Bring it on!
  8. We all try to be great parents...my problem is being a control freak and when others bullied my kids it was out of my control. That and seeing your kids cry over the course of two or three years is a painful experience. Thankfully, my kids have adapted and come to realize middle and high school was a blip on the screen of life and there are many, many good friends they have made since that time in college and in high school.
  9. LOL. Rory got the gift that keeps on giving.
  10. Pitch me on Tindale. I'm listening but Tindale and Darrick Holmes are a close second IMO.
  11. It was the plays toward the end of the game that mattered most. The rocket passes to Sammy and Hogan. The quick thinking and fast reflexes. Not to mention EJ played 4 games and contributed to our lowly offensive rank. If Orton had those four games instead of EJ our offense would have been Top 8-10. This
  12. I've been through with a son and a daughter. It's a miserable time. And I didn't put you in any of those categories so relax.
  13. I can appreciate how you've considered all the stats, history, character, community support...I say Orton falls somewhere between Favre and Marino in terms of all time greats and the other traits referenced above. But I'm not there yet on putting him in Canton. What I fail to comprehend, though, is why he can't find a place on New Era's Wall of Fame. I guess guys want to wait for the messiah some draft year but what those TBD members fail to appreciate is we had the Messiah here three years ago and we ran him out of town. I guess we can't have nice things.
  14. You're in the category of "If it doesn't involve wine, cheese or pork belly, I'm not interested". Hoping you don't have to go through it. It sucks.
  15. Make fun all you want but no one disproved my theory.
  16. Do you mind if I copy and paste this to the original post? These are the types of criteria that matter (not sure OJ ever did these types of charitable acts and his ass is up there).
  17. This is an interesting thread and I can tell whose kids have been bullied, whose haven't, and who have no !@#$ing idea what they're talking about.
  18. Isn't Cordy Glenn the guy with one kidney?? I wonder if he has unhealthy amounts of salt deposits in his feet causing discomfort.
  19. What is this repetitive argument about his slide short of 1st down marker?? The behind the scenes story I heard from a coaching source who was there said that Marrone was yelling from the sideline "Get down! Get down!" and Orton followed his coaches advice. Now I don't know why Marrone told him to get down at that moment (one yard short of the first down) but he couldn't disregard his coach's directions. So that's another feather in Orton's cap...listens and executes the play calling and coaching.
  20. The Wall of Fame is nothing to joke about. Neither is our only winning season in 15+ years. I guess some guys here don't recognize who made that possible. I would have left town too judging from the vitriole demonstrated in this thread for a guy who was nothing more than a professional doing his job...and he did it quite well.
