  1. Like many of you, I love pizza. This thread isn't about your favorite take out pizza. If any of you make pizza a lot at home, what are some secrets, recipes, methods? Here's a few questions I have: Making a good, quick crust that is tasty, crusty. I've tried all kinds of recipes but haven't found one that blows me away. Have any? Sauce - I would love to find a real simple pizza sauce recipe (have a tried a few but the jar/bottle sauce just isn't the same as from a pizzeria). Cheese - We've used real mozzarella, provolone, a mixture of the two...not sure what favorite is but provolone is a nice cheese to use. Any other secrets? We put a light layer of olive oil on the sheet before putting the dough on and it makes the bottom crusty but there may be other methods...super hot over (450) or medium oven (350). This actually looks like a good idea...pizza in a cast iron pan
  2. Albany NY gets the 0-4 Giants....smh
  3. Interesting. I'm curious to know if Lehner had been successful in just 50% more of his shootouts, would it have changed our playoff picture last year? Kind of a tough stat to figure out considering who the opponent was and then recalculating points from those games. I understand what Shrader said above, but one on one's do play a part in the overall point totals and success of the team as a whole.
  4. That's an all time classic pic...also like the one in the "war room" where Russ looks like a kid on Christmas opening an erector set when they traded up for Sammy.
  5. I won't be able to watch it. Please post if he's captain. Thanks 26
  6. He's defensive minded...CB is his natural role. He has shifty hips.
  7. Why can't we trade Dareus? If we're building a team, let's build a !@#$ing team.
  8. You think so? Damn, every time I watched a Sabres game last year that came down to a shootout he was turrible. He had some great saves, but if we are judging a goaltender on individual talent (not based on the defense in front of him) is there any better metric than one-on-ones? I thought he kinda sucked myself. Captain Jack will get you high tonight.....(Hey, that would be a great song for the arena to play each time he scores)
  9. Any confirmation that Jack is the Captain?
  10. Swimming is a high school sport. Swimming in the nude during gym class occurred during the 1970's. The Buffalo News Sports Editor is asking for suggestions on the main page. Gugny should be hired to conduct an investigative report for the Buffalo News Sports desk on "Nude Swimming During Gym Class in WNY"
  11. Here's another one: "When asked for the differences between coaches Bill Belichick and former Bulls and current ESPN analyst Rex Ryan, Gilmore wouldn’t place his finger on specific details." This must be a fan website created in the basement of a high school student who started following the Patriots in 2015.
  12. Hoping they solve the goaltender issue with some of that dough.
  13. Never read that article before. What an ass. Hows that sense of urgency now Gilly? Gone are the days of Gilly playing 8 yards off the line of scrimmage on a critical 3rd and 4. Adios amigo!
  14. Interesting work experience Josh. A few of us here are from the Post-Star area. White Plains huh? Not going to hold it against you, but are you a Jets fan or Giants fan? (Being a Patriots fan is not an option here). 😀
  15. I didn't realize I garnered your respect in the first place. But I have an idea to smooth things over: if you would simply acknowledge that Kyle Orton has "a chance" to make it on the Wall given what he was able to accomplish, then we can move forward in a mutually respectful manner.
  16. Ban someone for making a logical argument re. a Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame candidate? You must be fun at parties.
  17. Four games in...EJ is the starter...Raiders need a spark. Sound familiar?
  18. If that was some kinda slam against my Dad being 250 lbs you're dead wrong. He's 205. Do you even understand how many times your back ligaments are used when vacuuming a medium sized ranch house? That's back and forth, back and forth about 390 times in a one hour span. I'd say Derrick Carr should be able to move his arm 390 times in an hour but I think his departure from the game answers that question.
  19. You too huh? Have you ever tried to unload cases of water into the back seat of a Dodge Caravan and still leave room for the beets, butter, soup and apricots? Theres a lot of jockying stuff around, bending torso, arms, etc. not to mention returning the cart to the cart hut and driving home. Id say Derrick Carr could learn a thing or two from my mom and her broken vertebrae.
  20. You calling my mom a liar? She had to lift two cases of water into the cart, three bunches of beets, pound of butter, a rump roast, dried apricots for dad and four cans of Progresso lentil soup. Thats a lot of bending and lifting.
  21. My Mom had a fractured vertebrae. She went to the grocery store every day. Shes 79 yrs old and the doctor said she should just keep moving if she can tolerate it...its the best thing for a person with that kind of injury. I guess its a pain tolerance issue.
  22. Ill advised throw, one INT, no TD's, 57 passer rating. Can't blame receivers for everything. Just my opinion.
