  1. Sounds good. So long as I can follow a link to the Mario Williams thread for old times sake, great.
  2. KFC? or Fresh Market?
  3. Once that big fella commits his body to one side, he can't get back over quick enough. And that short handed goal (which lost us the game in regulation) was a weak attempt at getting over to the side of the net. Most college players can cover that side quickly. Lehner doesn't impress me in the least. and this
  4. How many sacks has Kyle Williams had on a per game basis vs how many yards has Orton thrown on a per game basis? I think you see my point. I would wear his throwback college jersey but Bills Zubaz pants. I think that would be most appropriate
  5. Rare that a Wall of Famer makes the NFL HOF but I see your point.
  6. Has anyone made a crab legs joke yet?
  7. Once 6ft tatooed goalie goes down (on a breakaway) they cant get back up.
  8. Shrader!!!!! I thought one on ones dont matter? Or shootouts?? Smh. Dude is weak
  9. Heres why Orton exemplifies all that is Buffalo Bills-esque:1) Winning season 2) Family man - retired so he could spend more time at picnics with his kids 3) 3800 yds passing (extrapolated to 4600 over a full season if he played all games) 4) character
  10. Lehner is so friggin weak...short handed, wrap around?? Are you kidding me? This team will be great when we have a real goalie. That was weak sauce.
  11. Were in a small town...I mean real small. The parents walk with their kids up to 6th grade or so. 7th - 12th graders go out around our village and get candy too...and generally hang out. We usually open our house to kids (or friends) that want to come in for a break, have a snack etc. We go through 2 or 3 big giant bags of candy handouts. Total investment: about $40 for the night.
  12. I was actually in the aisle reading the back of a whole peeled tomatoes label thinking it would say straight from San Marzano. Then I checked out the produce aisle and they had hydroponic, plum, hot house, and heirloom tomatoes. I may have to ship them in via Amazon drone (Im in a rural area...no Publix).
  13. Being a Type A personality, I stopped at Price Chopper and looked up and down the aisles for canned or fresh San Marzano tomatoes. No luck. I ended up buying some peeled tomatoes (canned) from Italy. Where do you get these San Marzanos?
  14. A lot of people who try to discredit Orton or his credentials point to that play and say he doesn't deserve to be on the Wall. What if the first down marker was two yards shorter? If he made the slide for a first down, are they then saying he should be enshrined on the Wall? I find that argument to be disingenuous...there but for the grace of God go I. What would those detractors do in that same scenario? *crickets*
  15. Like Tom's suggestion above, this sounds too easy and good to be true. I'm a sucker for a sweet sauce so I end up adding a tbsp of sugar (or two if it's a large batch of sauce) but I never remember that tomatoes are sweet after they cook awhile so that might be my problem if it comes out too sweet. No doubt store bought is easy and the one I tried last night that Gugny referenced was excellent...but that 24 hour no-knead recipe above is worth trying I think (just requires more planning days in advance which is sometimes tough to remember in the midst of autumn school sports, activities, etc)
  16. No - you can't argue against his place on the Wall or No - he doesn't belong on the Wall?
  17. In light of what Cam said yesterday, I have moved Kyle Orton ahead of Cam Newton and a few others including Rothlisburger, Winston, Brees and Rivers. Orton will never be ahead of Montana or Manning (those guys were class acts on and off the field). So taking Orton's performance on the field and off the field, he fits somewhere between Warren Moon and Marino IMO. With that said, can anyone seriously argue against his rightful place on the Wall?
  18. https://shop.bakingsteel.com/collections/steels/products/baking-steel I'm wondering about the size at 16" x 14"...doesn't seem large enough if you want to make a decent sized pizza (or two small ones). I'll keep looking
  19. I think McDermott and Beane have a lot to do with the new media outlook. Rodak and Sullivan were never fans of Rex...doubt they were in love with Whaley either. McBeane seems to have a straight shooter approach, hard work, disciplined, concentrating on preparation, teamwork, fundamentals. If the media guys speak for the fans, then that might be why there is a change in the reporting.
  20. It could happen easily...I see EJ leading his team down the field at New Era solely by using voice inflection and cadence at the line of scrimmage. He'll gain 340 yards through off-sides penalties alone.
  21. This recipe looks promising. I've made the no-knead bread in a cast iron dutch oven before and it is always delicious (nice voids/air pockets, crusty, flavorful) so the same rule applies for the pizza dough. I'm a little hesitant to preheat to 550 degrees and then use the broiler function. Do you follow that step (broil) as opposed to bake?
