Clean sense of humor and really gets to the nitty gritty of every day things in a humorous way (the guy who created "blank inside" cards and the guy who called into CBS to report the birds chirping in the background during The Masters were not anywhere near Georgia...discovered CBS used fake bird noises during the tournament...funny bits). Day 4 of my captivity: I am tired of this cell. Having a bed and sink is not the problem. It’s the aroma of burnt jalapeños that seeps into my bedding and clothes. My neighbor moans and was all night about how water levels are on the rise. I hear him scream throughout his nightmare “I’ll get the bubbler button...wait right there or the ice may take your boat down river!!” He must have been a plumber before his incarceration. The guards here are generally pleasant except for the one we call “CC”. He patrols the hallways singing some of @Gugny‘s favorites like “Wonderful Christmas Time” and “Life Goes On”. This explains the mirror frame with gnarled teeth marks and fingernail etchings in the concrete walls. His voice is a cross between Edith Bunker and a train whistle. I am utterly confused in this thread. I thought you were literally on your last legs in your initial post, on the verge of Social Security Disability. Now you are getting a promotion and using a device 30 minutes a day? How exactly is your company screwing you over? Like I said...I’m confused and can’t keep up.

Day 3 of my captivity. I don’t think I can last. Those of us held hostage to @Gugny‘s Birthday are growing weary. It’s not the food, accommodations or even the incessant whining that bothers us; it’s the aroma of smoked meats and cumin that sends most of us over the edge. I must keep my eyes forward and try to drown out the Nirvana and Beatles albums that play all night. These celebrations become overwhelming...not to mention the FatHead of Bill Buckner that is positioned at the entrance to the mess hall. Bastard. The only way to end this misery is for each of us to wish him Happy Birthday again until he turns the volume down. If there is a hell, I’m in it. Painfully yours, Ferguson

Right. But why run it 50 ft (and dig a trench) when the satellite dish is already attached to the outside wall of the old garage? All I need to do is split and bring the cable off the dish into the garage. The issue is: how do I receive the signal and change the channel...that’s where the mini Genie comes into play (I think).

Well, there’s the standard “shot of the pads, center comes in to sink the rebound” goal. The next Calgary goal will be a “shot from blue line with two guys in front of net and deflection off screen or stick”. Sabres seem to think they should only score with beautiful passing plays and clean shots in top of cage...we need to get sloppy goals - put Girgensons and Reinhardt in front of goal...get screens off their damn skates or sticks. Take slap shots at wing and have Skinner or Mitts grab rebounds. So frustrating when we try so hard to make “pretty plays” that fail and go the other way.

Everything is hard wired in the house here...old garage is 40 - 50 feet from main house. Not sure that would reach via WiFi.

I think you’re right. I may need to get another Genie. As much as the other guys suggestions are appreciated, I don’t have a designated laptop for the garage and my WiFi doesn’t reach out to old garage. So I’ll need to look at an extra Genie. Not sure what the cost is (maybe $8 - $10 /month). Hoping to negotiate a new DTV contract this summer anyway.
