  1. Dude. Kickoff is usually 1pm. Why can’t you get up at 12:45pm to watch a game?
  2. Wow!! Thanks for posting this. Daddy Irsay was such a caring soul that he wanted Little Andrew to delay his announcement. What a great guy. And Andy decided to placate Daddy Warbucks by delaying the announcement for weeks/months?? Oh that’s right...21 million reasons to wait until the season is around the corner. @Mr. WEO will have to conduct further investigations.
  3. That gut punch will turn into a haymaker when the Fans find out Luck was asked to delay his announcement. As @klos63 said above...sometimes enough is enough. Luck had every opportunity to announce this “change of heart” in April or May. Nooooo, in exchange for $21 million, he decided to “think about it” for three months. Ka-Ching $$
  4. This. And if I was a Colts’ season ticket holder, listening to Aaron Rodgers and Colin Cowturd talk down to me for booing, I’d ask for an apology when the truth comes out. Yeah, $4000 isn’t much money compared to Aaron’s 100 million, but it’s a big investment for Average Joe. Luck was complicit in Irsay’s profit motive...it will get leaked in the next two weeks. $21 million to delay his announcement. Book it.
  5. I'm a little sick of all the talking heads and current / ex-football players saying the Colts' fans were wrong to "Boo" Andrew Luck. Sure the guy has been thrown around like a rag doll for the last 6 years, but you have to dig deeper into one issue that has been talked about very little: MONEY First, we can all agree that Jim Irsay is of questionable integrity. Had a few run-ins with the law, TANKED the year to get Luck, and is overall somewhat slimy. If Luck was having this pain for the last few years and recently had problems with his calf muscle and ankle, why did it become a "career ending" problem just two weeks before the start of the season. MONEY Second, take a look at what Luck said on his interview. Paraphrasing here but he said he's had discussions with Chris Ballard over the summer about his pain, physical condition, etc. Why do you think he held off on making this announcement until two weeks before the season? MONEY Third, when Irsay found out about Luck's condition and discussions with Ballard, I'll bet Irsay brought Luck into his office and said "Can you hold off for another month or two? Let's wait and see? I'll make it worth your while." Meanwhile, the Colts were able to renew season tickets and generate revenue based on the assumption (by those same Booing fans) that Luck was all set to play this year. Fourth, fast forward to the day after his retirement when we hear in passing that Irsay will not seek repayment of the $21 million bonus!!! What?? Something stinks in this whole thing. Irsay, the delays in announcing retirement, and the "Go ahead and keep $21 million". I don't feel bad for Luck at all. Ironworkers, roofers, police officers, etc. all suffer through pain and discomfort and very rarely get a $21 million dollar golden parachute on retirement. The dirt will come out soon enough...and the Fans will really start to Boo.
  6. Based on @Cripple Creek's post, I'd say he's watched it many times.
  7. Small markets can’t compete? Paging IceBowl67!! IceBowl....come in IceBowl!!
  8. Yep. He’s basically a *****. If we sign him, he then looks elsewhere next year for big money (Philly, Seahags, Colts). Don’t feed the whores!!!
  9. Clowney is NOT Beane material. 1) Puts self before team. 2) Favors Seattle and Philly over Fish? See ya. Have fun bro. 3) Was talking with @GoBills808 and @GunnerBill today and if Clowney already knows who he wants to sign with, our 1 year rental is a waste of dinero. 4) Questionable work ethic (unless you want to watch his ONE play in college and see him destroy a RB in the backfield). Other than that, he’s just another pre-Madonna
  10. Or Jack Nicklaus...I still can't believe we had his grandson on the Bills and we let him go.
  11. Same here. A lot of guys here are into music judging by the various concert, song, band threads. I wish I knew more about music but, sadly, I spent most of my time watching Hee Haw and WKRP in Cincinnati.
  12. To infinity and beyond.
  13. ^ Does this involve me dressing up as Little Bo Peep?
  14. Lifetime gifts (over and above the 15k annual gift tax exclusion to any one person). If you give away more than 11 mill, your estate will be taxed at almost 40% And in NY it’s even worse...estate tax is about 5 mill. If you are over that, they don’t just tax you on the amount over 5 mill, there’s a sliding scale that allows the state to recoup back to a lower amount (say you have an estate worth 6 mill, you’d think you would be taxed on the 1 mill you are over. Not so fast, they can magically tax you on amounts under the 5 mill threshold as well. The more your estate is worth, the deeper they can go below the estate tax exemption. Bastards.
  15. ^ Is that hair gel?
  16. Very sorry Lew. Dogs are definitely part of the family. RIP pup.
  17. No thanks on Clowney. Hasn’t attended training camp in several years (according to Jim Miller on Moving the Chains). Evidently not a process guy. He had one huuuuge play in college and his reputation is greatly exaggerated by that one play. I trust Beane but hope he goes the Phins (the way of Mario Williams and Donkey Kong Su).
  18. What are you doing in this nape of the woods...neck of the wape...why are you here?
  19. You were the one who suggested it last month. Now you don’t want them?
  20. ^ “I’m incarcerated Lloyd!!!”
  21. ^ “You talkin’ to me?”
  22. National TV??? I better dress impotent.
