  1. Yeah they needed to score there.
  2. They made plays right down to the end of the game the way they always do. This aggresive attack style defense sure looked like a mighty attack dog in the 4th. Another pinhead coach that cannot figure out how to take a few minutes off the clock at the end of the game. This is getting old.
  3. everyone of these idiots that fumbles the ball need to be sat for the second half.
  4. I mis-typed. I meant a realistic chance. There is being optimistic and then there is being down right crazy. I put actually expecting this team to contend for a championship in the second category. I'm jaded. Happens when one is a Bills, Sabres, Indians, and Pacers fan.
  5. This...every year. Our expectation for the past decade has been to watch this position or what that position develop. Will we ever have hopes of contending for a championship? Oh I'll be there like a fool hooting an sliding across the floor when they score or pick a pass. I hate myself. I'm a freakin addict.
  6. Please re-read the second post. See you in about 6 weeks when we are all discussing how putrid this team is yet again. so 8-8?
  7. Touchdowns for vs Touchdowns against. If we have more touchdowns then I think we win. For real though, sacks. Hit Brady early, often, late, when he's walking to the bench...just hit him.
  8. Agreed. I think it will stay around until we start seeing quarterbacks with otherwise promising careers suffering injuries that are normally associated with running backs. Or when they start to hit a wall like a running back would in their career. Makes me wonder what I would rather have a traditional pocket qb that moves like Brady or someone like a Wilson or RGIII. The plays they make with their feet are great but look at what happens to your team when your qb takes a hit like RGIII which he didn't need to take. Run 'em if ya got 'em I guess.
  9. Good luck figuring that out...on the other hand the organization is probably looking at the success the Jets had with a safety like Leonard on the field. If they believe that the front four can put a serious and consistent rush on opposing quarterbacks then it becomes that much easier to replace a safety. Not that this is earth shattering knowledge. Is he going to play this week? I haven't heard that he is out for sure. How much time are we really looking at him missing?
  10. Dave - I wasn't trying to make a comparison to them now and Byrd now. What I was saying is that top safety money is a guy in that mold. I don't believe that Byrd is in that class. That's all.
  11. The 9 interception season came about from plenty of poorly thrown balls. I'm not saying that he isn't good but top safety money is for guys like Ed Reed or Polamalu. I have never heard anyone talk about Byrd they way they talk about guys like Reed and Polamalu. Other teams fear safeties like that. He isn't in the same class.
  12. I am with you. I can't stand him now and I think he is a piece of crap. However, we could trade him to a team we play and call the same play that put eric berry out for the year...just saying. Before all of the over sensitive types jump all over that statement and talk about how they are morally superior because they never wish and injury on anyone...I meant it toongue in cheek.
  13. I see what you did there. You forgot JP
  14. Dang it...thought it was wee-(wo)man
  15. Solid 2 win butt-fumble filled season.
  16. We have had an offense than runs out of a spread. Put the O Line man up in a power I formation and the backs are lucky to pick up 3 yards.
  17. Go back and read all of your posts in this thread. You seem a little uptight, or maybe you're trying to prove a point. I don't know. It is interesting to see that you took less than two minutes to respond to a post that was basically nothing at all. Then end your post with I don't understand which is a good way to attempt to bait a reaction from someone with whom you disagree...I'll bite. I assume that you are a fairly educate / smart person so I won't venture into this any further. Clearly you can see that I thought it was funny that the PC police jumped on that so quickly. Your attempt to distance yourself from political correctness has already been read and is frankly thin. The research exists concerning the most well adjusted people and the formation of their home in regard to 1 parent or 2 as far as what sex, I cannot speak to that as I don't know. Myself, I am from a single parent home but hwat do I know? Beerball - I agree with you. I am hoping this is just a smoke screen put up by the team. Not that I think it will make any difference but I want to see EJ play regardless of a win or loss.
  18. Haha. I read this thread just to see who would have the first uptight overreaction....
  19. +1. I think the quick release spread style hid deficiencies in both the run and pass blocking abilities of this O Line.
  20. I wasn't saying that Spiller can handle 20. I was just stating that AP averaged over 20 last year. I think spiller would break down terribly at 20 a game. I think he should have 23 touches a game though.
  21. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll be suspended for "illegal" hits since the NCAA made some stupid new rules. Black eye perhaps? Slide down the board a bit.
  22. Not I'm not trolling. Just trying to prepare myself for the worst. It seems to get a little worse every year. I know it may be a fatalistic view, but I seem to hear it more every year. I love Buffalo. I live in PA and visit Buffalo as often as I can. I just don't see us ever winning anything. Believe me that I know how the people of Buffalo feel. I work for a fortune 500 that wants to close my location because we are in the middle of nowhere. It is beautiful where I live, but people from the cities don't generally want to move here.
