Tired of Nfl favoring teams; This time it's the Broncos
Chimp replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or watch a Steelers game -
I think it might be time that BIlls fans everywhere realize that CJ isn't a young back anymore. He is in his 4th year and looking forward to his second and probably final contract of his career. For fans to expect that all of a sudden he is going to prove to be anything other than what he has been to this point is crazy. Do we really believe that coaches are the reason that CJ didn't get the ball either handed or thrown to him 25 times a game? The coaches do want to win, no? If he was the "stud" that TBD has determined he is then they would have ridden him to victory. Well said Monkey

Ravens. 42-9. we kick another field goal when taking over inside the 30 yardline again this week. -
The talking heads have spoken for week 4
Chimp replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I would pick the Ravens to win twice if it were possible. -
Don't you have to prove that you are elite first?

Is CJ suffering from happy feet part 2?
Chimp replied to Jerry Jone's Toupee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which is strangely similar to what one of the Jets, can't remember the guy's name and I am too lazy to google it, said this week. You hit him in the mouth the first chance you get and he will duck you the rest of the game. -
I can summarize this for you....Things that sucked - Not Kiko

Who tops your list of "he's just not cuttn' it?" Who d

I agree. I guess he is good, compared to another safety coming off the couch, but the olay that he threw on that pass and catch in the first game was really ugly. -
Undercover cops in opposing team gear - great idea

So...rape then, is that cool? Her clothes warrant it? -
I missed all but the final play. Sucks, but I'll do it weekly if it means they win.

I didn't attack you or insult you. I said that calling that a lucky play and saying EJ simply threw it up for grabs was moronic. I didn't mean to insult you, I apologize for that.

Yeah...you have no idea what you are talking about. Stevie was inside across the DB's body and had the DB's hips opened and EJ let it go as soon as he saw Stevie break open which was on his second step. There wasn't double coverage on that side just singled on Stevie. Maybe they practiced that little rub play and he knew that once Stevie beat his man on the first couple steps he knew he had an open touch pass to Stevie. Should he have put it a little closer to the back corner? Perhaps. It is nice to see a completely moronic post criticizing a touchdown pass to win the game. Stay classy fella.

Dareus' chance for revenge on Carolina this Sunday
Chimp replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I think he will be a rotation DT at best. -
Dareus' chance for revenge on Carolina this Sunday
Chimp replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You make a good point there. Eh...Oj didn't get the number of carries early in his career that he got a little later on, perhaps for a reason...I am not old enough to have been alive then. As for Bruce he had 15 sacks in '86. I get what you meant in that Bruce had a crappy rookie year when he came in over weight and had some issues. He turned that around immediately. I don't know that Dareus is going to do that. I am hopeful though. -

Stay on point. Albert Haynesworth is out of the league because he got lazy and was no longer getting it done. If he were the Haynesworth that he was for the Titans then he would still be in the league. -
Let's give Stevie Johnson some negative attention
Chimp replied to davspo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh I figured you would. Mind you that I am not saying it didn't suck, what I am saying is I don't believe that was the reason they lost. Brady was able to take a knee and relax while the field goal team drilled another dagger into Bills fans hearts. If that had happened on the Bills final drive I would be carrying a lantern and a pitchfork. I think it is clear that it's high time Stevie shut his pie trap until he learns to catch everything. -

Wasn't it like 8:35 or so left? hardly a "Crucial" moment. After all, they did stop NE and get the ball back again. -
Agreed. The D Line needs him to play like a stud which I think he is capable of but there is just something not right about that dude.

I was just scanning to see if anyone else asked about this. Is Joe wrong or are the analytics people putting a little too much emphasis on the numbers? I don't know everything that goes into the analytics stuff but I would really like to see the process as much as the result. I like analytics but it seems to cause more arguments than anything else. Eyeball test vs stats...who knows?

It doesn't matter how much one argues whether or not the Bills D did this or that well enough. The single thread that runs through the response of almost every person on this board is that they are so much better than they were. To that I am sure we can probably all agree there are parts of the D that are better when compared to the Bills of the last decade. How about as a collective fanbase we compare them to other teams that they play against in the NFL?

Just re-watched the bills pats game on NFL game rewind....

Come one Big Cat it can't be true. Remember, they just stepped up to stuff CJ and left holes for Jackson because he's old. -
Wasn't Dorsey one of those guys coming out that had everything except the physical tools to get it done?

Pressure is great if it results in turnovers. If you aren't getting turnovers out of the pressure then I would much prefer a sack. Too many times teams are able to pressure Brady only to lose the game. That said, against Brady I prefer sacks as he tends to still beat us even when he is knocked around all game. I do think there is a valid point to be made ragarding the pressure he received as a result of his receivers being confused or rookies. I think an identical game against Newton this weekend will result in multiple picks if the DBs are in position.

I think the best way to look at the 1 sack from the defensive line is like this. We have heard people try and make the comparison to the Giants defensive line with all the names, and money the Bills have spent. That Giants line sacked Brady 5 times in their first Superbowl and with a little different line sacked him 3 times in the 2012 superbowl. According the articel I read "Tom Brady was under duress or sacked on 14 of 43 dropbacks Sunday, including half of his dropbacks in the fourth quarter, and five times on the final drive." I agree with what I think Jerry is getting at in that the Bills have spent a lot of money on the defensive line and it would be nice to see a performance like that out of that line. Particularly when they play New England.
