didn't i say that "in writing you should use regardless"? sorry, didn't mean to hurt your feelers by correcting your statement about irregardless not being a word. thought you might like to know for future reference. my appologies.
-
Yeah...um... irregardless is indeed a word.... but yes...in writing you should use "regardless" instead http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless Usage Discussion of IRREGARDLESS Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

Steve Johnson..Anyone hear this..?

here is a potentialy NSFW link that says this is true...with proof if you click the "jump" on the page. http://gone-hollywood.com/category/celebrity-skin-exposed/#ext61509 -
Just saying that this season is lost. can't see us building a winner any other way than through the draft (as long as ralph holds the purse strings) its not like we will be buying top tier players anytime soon. and not sure we have much on the roster of trade value (if we do then we should keep them) so... if we are gonna build through the draft then lets get started. as for throwing games... like i said. there are a lot of players on our roster that haven't seen any game time. how will they perform in a game situation? you never know... there may be some talent there that shows in games and not in practice. didn't Fitz loose his starting position during practice?

I say we play our JV the last two games. get them some experience, evaluate our depth and protect our position in the draft. didn't we go from having the first pick to now being in a three way tie for the 4th pick?

VIDEO OF STEVE'S TD DROP ON HOME PAGE

Maybe this video will make you feel better... -
and there is more to the above info... Miami (6-5) Loss: 15 - 10 GB (7-4) Loss: 34 - 7 NE (9-2) Loss: 38 - 30 NYJ (9-2) Loss: 38 - 14 JAX (6-5) Loss: 36 - 26 BAL (8-3) OT Loss: 37 - 34 KC (7-4) Loss: 13 - 10 CHI (8-3) Loss: 22 - 19 DET (2-9) Win: 14 - 12 CIN (2-9) Win: 49 - 31 PIT (8-3) OT Loss: 19 - 16 so, we drop the first two games as the edwards era... aside from the jets game we have been in every game untill the end. most of our losses have been by a field goal, (we win those 4 and we are 6-5) and we are scoring points...lots of points compared to the recent past... i have said this before... if we are seriously trying to build through the draft then i hope that we loose out the rest of the season. lets get the first pick and start getting some players and "rebuild"... i mean, i can take the loosing if i can see an end in site...what i cant take is just loosing... for 10 years in a row...or more.

Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God

'come on guys... why so serious about his tweet??? 7 catches for 68 yards, no td's and 5 drops (including the game winner that was a perfect pass)...um. if i was him i would have shut my phone off and kept my mouth shut. maybe he was just trying to protect our #1 draft pick... although i am still not convinced that we won't end up trading our first pick for a dozen wings and a pitcher of Labatt.... -
Upset city! Bills win this week
Chappy444 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
with our swiss cheese O-line and their D-backs it will be a long day for our QB's (i say plural because i have a feeling we will end up seeing both of them) i don't see us putting up 20+ points unless the D and SP teams both get scores. hope i am wrong but... -
Bills on the front page of ESPN NFL!
Chappy444 replied to bizell's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would seriously be worried about winning against Oklahoma, Auburn, or Michigan State right now, much less a UFL team.... yes, we are that bad. -
if he hasn't been able to build a consistant winner in 51 years then maybe...just maybe...it is time to look for a new profession or simply sell and retire. how many years would your readers accept mediocre writing before you got the ax? To me, you seem like the type of person who self evaluates and you would probably figure out for yourself that it is time to leave...way before you got the ax. the difference here seems to be that Ralph keeps getting paid no matter how many articles he submits with spelling errors, and grammer issues...

A Bills fan takes a step back and reflects
Chappy444 replied to Chappy444's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I knew when I typed the line about the Levy era being a tough time to be a fan I was going to catch some flack. I am a Bills fan as well…so I know how tender that nerve is for most of us. But, that statement was not the thrust of my post. That statement was intended to be descriptor used to help illustrate my larger point. For those of you that didn’t opt for the Regents diploma let me give you a synopsis (that’s a fancy word for summary) of my post in general. I was making a statement about the Bills organization as a whole (over the entire team history) and looking at what I believe to be a culture of loosing that really has not changed much since 1960 I was drawing a straight line from 1960 to now and stating that the line falls below average, except for a small bump that creeps above 500 for a brief period. And yes I stated that bump was a hard time to be a fan…and then explained that comment in a couple of following post. In most any other endeavor (except baseball) a trend of any kind that is below average would be considered a failure. And I am not going to sit here and say that 4 grand failures (face it, a super bowl loss is by definition a failure) makes the rest of the failure OK. Add to that the fact that since those failures nothing has been done to improve anything and you have another failure. Now, I love the Bills. Always have, and god help me, always will. But I am not going to lie to myself and say “look, look…we had a great run 10 or 12 years ago. We are awesome” the fact is that we are not awesome…at best we are mediocre and at worst we suck…really bad. And as I said in my OP with the current owner I do not see any sign of that changing. There is a poll in the USA Today sports sections that has 32% of respondents picking the bills to go 0-16 this year followed by the Panthers 26%, Lions 21%, Browns 17%, and 49ers 5%. Personally I put us at 3-13 this year. We have a tough schedule. I hope for 8-8 but… BTW, how bad is your team when your biggest hope for them every year is 8-8? To bowery4 who said “ahhh just another poster bashing the Bills. Not welcome in my book. That's the easy route. Optimism is hard work buddy.” I have optimism…I just said I hope the Bills go 8-8 this year…. To Vinny4sum who said This thread is like the country today…"it's too hard to be a Bills fan, they don't win all the time." You are more than welcome to choose another team and see how that works out for the next 20 years. The fact is that the Bills historically don’t win more than half the time… and if our country had the same historical record as the Bills we would look more like Haiti than the current US. Why should I choose another team? Why can’t I just expect more from the team I have? To eastrochbillsfan who said “It's like hanging on to your wife that you once loved but things just aren't the same anymore. Do you live unhappily or just get the divorce? Sounds like its time to move on to me.” Um… like the Bills, I love my wife because of her faults and quirks…not in spite of them, quitting is easy, working towards making things better is the hard part…and like my OP stated…the part that the Bills organization doesn’t seem willing to do. To 34-78-83 who said What team were you watching???? I was watching the one that is 354-397-8 lifetime. The one that went 55-79-5 in the 60’s, 51-91-1 in the 70’s, 69-83-0 in the 80’s, 103-57-0 in the 90’s, and 66-94-0 in 00’s. 1 decade out of 5 with a winning record. If we could do it once why can’t we do it again? I don’t know if I have 30 or 40 years left to wait for another winning decade And to Bob in STL who said “…and it goes beyond the W-L record” I say "Then why do we keep score?" -

to be clear, in my post i said.... "In team history (50 years) they have only had 22 seasons of 500 or better… and 12 of those were in the Levy era where we lost playoff game after playoff game and super bowl after super bowl…arguably the hardest time to be a Bills fan. And I do not see any evidence that the owner wants to change anything" i spent years and years watching crap football in buffalo... then... a glimmer of hope...a coach, some quality players and hey, life is good...then they fall short, year after year. they should have won the giants and one of the dallas superbowls... but they didn't, and that let down was hard to take. i was on my knees infront of the TV in my best friends livingroom praying for Norwood to make that friggin' kick. 30 years of failure wiped clean with one win... but nooooo. and after all that i am still a bills fan. so yeah...that period of bills history is "arguably" the hardest time to be a fan... when your team is loosing every year like now...you have limited emotional involvement... its easy and relitivly painless to be a fan, it may be frustrating at times but you have limited expectations...but those years when you come soooo close after sooo long and fall short...it hurts more...making it a harder time to be a fan. the best roster in the history of the club and they can't close the sale... that hurts way more than just sucking every year. -

wow...such hostility. relax man, i wasn't trying to put sand in your mangina I was just making conversation. for the record... I can tell you were i was, what i was doing and who i was with for everyone of those playoff games and superbowls...i can also tell you exactly how i felt after everyone of those losses... heartbroke. this is why i said "arguably". Yes i loved every minute of watching those wins pile up...remember i had just spent the last 20 years dealing with seasons like 4-12, 2-12, 1-13, 3-11, 5-11, 4-9-1. that is why it was hard to be a fan during the "superbowl" era... dashed hopes and expectations....yes i agree that it was a great time to watch the Bills play ball... i was simply saying that the letdown of those losses was as hard to take as watching them play was enjoyable. as for my comment aobut the playoff losses... i was refering to this: 1988 Lost Conference Championship 1989 Lost Divisional Playoffs 1990 Lost Superbowl 1991 Lost Superbowl 1992 Lost Superbowl 1993 Lost Superbowl 1994 Didn't Make Playoffs 1995 Lost Divisional Playoffs 1996 Lost Wild Card Playoffs 1997 Didn't Make Playoffs 1998 Lost Wild Card Playoffs 1999 Lost Wild Card Playoffs so...i stand by my statement of watching them "loose playoff after playoff and superbowl after superbowl." who gives a crap about the Browns? and the whole living around the east coast thing had to do with my enlistment in the military. in addition to the east coast i was also in the persian gulf, california, texas and the far east. But i am glad that you got to go to all those home games while I was out and about. was it great to be there? did you have a good time chillin' at the stadium watching the games live... i really would have like to be there as well, but now i am getting off point. -
Quarterbacks Bills Nation should be targeting..
Chappy444 replied to Teddy_Daniels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if there is a franchise-caliber QB available when the Bills are on the clock you can bet that they won't pick him... they will grab another wide reciever or a D-back, or a tackle or something...or just trade the pick away at the last minute for a carton of smokes, a six pack of PBR and a tank of gas.
