Spiller's Future in Buffalo
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds about right, but don't we need to get more out of him given his high draft status? Reggie Bush has more than 30 touchdowns in this league. I don't think it's a given Spiller will have as successful a career as Reggie Bush. -
How do you envision CJ Spiller being used next season? Do you think he will be the starting running back, handling most of the workload, or do you think Jackson will once again be the featured back? I wonder if Spiller will try to add ten pounds to his frame, or continue at his current playing weight. I would like to see him get some reps as a slot receiver in specialized situations. It just seems hard to imagine him winning the starting job next season. It feels like the Bills almost have to make him the starter at some point and give him the carries, given the extraordinarily high price we paid to get him - whether he earns it or not. I don't want him to end up as the next Maybin.

I think the rule is good the way that it is. The passing team is the team that has possession. Since they already have possession, the onus is on the defending team to clearly take possession away from the offense. Also, more offensive production in general is always a good thing.

Kyle Williams .... this guy needs a nickname

How about: Kyle 'Tugboat' Williams -
What the heck are you guys watching? He has not been playing at an elite level whatsoever this year. He is mediocre. He's not terrible, but he's far from an impact, top-tier safety. He is just getting in on a lot of tackles that the linebackers couldn't make. I will agree, though, that the new scheme suits him better as it seems to have him doing more run support, and he is much better in run support than pass coverage.

Carolina Panthers to Take Luck?
NaPolian8693 replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you think the Bills have any chance whatsoever at getting Luck then you are seriously delusional. It's nice they are playing better and all, but the reality is that the Bengals win completely destroyed any chance at Luck. Carolina has got him locked up all the way. It will be nice for them, too, as their are going to get a new coach to go along with their new young stud QB. -
Chargers to L.A.? Concerns Really Mounting in SD
NaPolian8693 replied to BuffaloWest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They SHOULD move to Los Angeles. San Diego fans are garbage. I'm sure there are plenty of loyal and dedicated fans, but the team is a perennial powerhouse and they couldn't even sell out their HOME OPENER this year. I know economic times are tough, but they are tough everywhere, and it's plenty large enough a market that a good fan base would never have seen that happen. -

K-Dub isn't bad. Meatball is also pretty catchy, and unique. The rest mentioned so far are kind of cheesy. -
I can't say for sure but in the random highlights I've seen from the various proposals I don't really recall seeing anything about changing the structure of the draft. I think things would probably still be fine with 7 rounds and then rookie free agents even with an increased roster size. A lot of teams have a hard time keeping everyone they want when it comes time for final cuts already.

It's tough. How can one ever truly say goodbye to hair like Trent's?

The cameras caught him joking around on the sidelines near the end of the blowout loss. Gruden commented that it was bad behavior. A reporter asked Anderson, and he lost control: http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/11/30/derek-anderson-flies-off-the-handle-in-postgame-press-conference/ (video is at the bottom) "That's fine. That's fine. That's fine. That's fine. That's fine." LMAO

Poz is not very good. People want him to to be good because he is a hard working, blue collar, Polish, white, high draft pick linebacker. He's also not the biggest liability in the linebacking corps, either, though.

To be clear, the Hall of Fame reference was intentional hyperbole. I just meant that while I don't view Chan as one of the league's top coaches, I also don't view him as one of the league's worst, either.

Buffalo's Throwback Uniforms
NaPolian8693 replied to BuffaloWest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This link shows their uniforms over the years: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/6/13/1473293/a-history-of-buffalo-bills-uniforms Basically every single other uniform they have had in their history is decidedly better than the current one. -
More Steeler Fans than Bills Fans
NaPolian8693 replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is ALWAYS like this when the Steelers come to town. Every Steelers game I have been to at the Ralph has been chock full of Steelers fans. I wouldn't say they are the majority, but there are so darn many of them it always seems like half the stadium is rooting for the Steelers. In reality, it's probably more like a quarter. That's still a a whole lot, and more than any other team. It's definitely a different vibe at the Ralph for Steelers games. -
Chan is no Hall of Fame coach. However, he's doing better than I thought he would, and I definitely like him better than Jauron.

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81c77f21/Williams-gets-2nd-sack Here's a clip of that great sack he had against Roethlisberger. My favorite is the view from behind the quarterback, where you can see Williams barreling in and knocking Pouncey right off the edge of the screen.

Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People are making fun of religion in the shoutbox now. It's really quite crass. My personal beliefs are in atheism. However, to paint with such a broad brush as to categorize the BILLIONS that practice organized religion as "stupid" or "clueless" is really quite narrow-minded and immature. A true atheist is respectful of other's beliefs, and does not make fun of religion. Such crass behavior allows religious folk to easily dismiss you and tune you out. -
Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps he was thinking about his endzone celebration, his postgame press conference, and the media frenzy that would surround his rising star - and he didn't maintain intense concentration as a result. -
Seemed like Kelsay had yet another solid game to me. It's a few weeks in a row now. He still looks like a fish out of water when they run strange defenses that get him 20 yards downfield, but he played well off the edge and was applying consistent pressure. It's hard to sack Roethlisberger. Give the man some love!
