2nd worst move by the Bills in my lifetime
NaPolian8693 replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty much every move the Bills make is described around the league as a "head scratcher", so this shouldn't be surprising. Good luck to Marshawn in his new happy home. -
Did you count Reggie Bush on the offense? A half dozen starters on each side of the ball were drafted in the first two rounds of the draft. That seems to say picks from the first two rounds are valuable and should be starters.

In the first episode, Trent struggled when trying to assume an early leadership role, and failed to bond with his tribe. He was predictably voted off. In the second episode, Jamon got voted off for his weak performances on the challenges. In the latest episode, Marshawn was voted out. He never quite fit in on Bills Island, and was actually happy to go. Who will get the axe at the next tribal council? Donte? Lee? Marcus? The next episode should be awesome!

Okay so do we need to trade Lee Evans now?
NaPolian8693 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills have plenty of cap room, that's not a factor. Evans has given up, but the problem is the Bills will just get another 4th for him. Even a no good Evans that has checked out is still probably better than a 4th. -

Maybe we can get AJ Smith to run our draft! -

What are you guys even trying to say? Are you asserting that the Bills will end up with a player better than Lynch with this pick? Or are you just trying to argue? -
[closed]Bills Fourth Round Picks
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry didn't see your post, didn't mean to steal the topic. Terrence McGee was a great pick, there is no denying that. But if you want to keep going backwards, after Terrence McGee you can roll back the clock another 15 years and not find any good 4th round picks. -
Seattle: I'll give you a Shaun Alexander rookie card and the gum for Marshawn Lynch. Buffalo: Deal!

Bills Fans Don't Want a QB
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not 5%, not close. There are those that loved Trent, there are more that love Fitzpatrick, and more that love Brohm. -
Here are some recent 4th round picks for the Bills: 2004 - Tim Euhus 2005 - Duke Preston 2006 - Ko Simpson 2007 - Dwayne Wright 2008 - Derek Fine 2009 - Shawn Nelson 2010 - Marcus Easley Do you think we will end up with a player of Marshawn Lynch's caliber with the 4th rounder we got from Seattle?

Every day I see people in the shout box talking about how badly they hope the Bills DO NOT draft a QB this year. Here are some actual arguments I see against drafting a QB: I don't want to pay a rookie QB that kind of money. Well, a number one overall left tackle is going to command the exact same money. So is anyone else you draft number one, the salary is dictated by the draft order not the fact that you play QB. A QB might bust. So might any other positions. Top OL prospects bust all the time - we've seen it firsthand. If a rookie QB busts it ruins your franchise for years. They franchise is already ruined. Once you are the literal worst, there is no where else to go. Also, the Chargers busted on Leaf in a big way and it didn't take them very long to part ways and get back on track. Top rookie QBs always bust. The top two QBs taken for the last three years are Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco, Matt Stafford and Mark Sanchez, and Sam Bradford and Tim Tebow. Sometimes you get Jamarcus Russell, and sometimes you get Peyton Manning. That's life. The same thing is true for any position - you draft a tackle you could get another Mike Williams. You can just get a QB in free agency. You can look at 2011 free agents here - http://www.footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html Orton is a longshot to hit the free agent market. Hasselbeck has some chance of hitting the market, and is way past his prime. We could probably realistically bring in Alex Smith, and that's it. You don't need a good QB to win. Just look around the league at the teams that are good year in and year out - they have good QBs. Look at the cellar dwellars, they are on a constant search to find their next franchise QB and return to glory. The rare exceptions like the Super Bowl Ravens and Bucs are just that, exceptions and not the rule. If the Bills had an elite defense right now then maybe a veteran FA would make at least some small sense, but the Bills aren't good anywhere. Their only hope of being a contender again is to hit on a stud QB in the draft. It is absolutely mind boggling. I think there are two main reasons for this: - A lack of understanding of the NFL. - A desire to lose. The former is easy to understand, the latter a bit trickier. I think many Bills fan relish their Lovable Loser identity, and secretly want to preserve it. They love to hate One Bills Drive, they love to play the role of the futile but loyal fan. In most cases I think it's a mixture of both reasons. Realize that if you want the early 90s again, you need a Jim Kelly to lead the troops. The draft is our best and really only shot at that, so embrace 0-16 and pray Andrew Luck comes out.

The Bills Real Competition
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yah, don't underestimate the Singletary factor. The man was obviously an all time great linebacker and competitor, and by all accounts is a good person with a lot of class and integrity. With that said, he is an absolute JOKE as a head coach. I mean, he pulled his pants down in front of his team for God's sake. -

For those who defend Ralph Wilson...
NaPolian8693 replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is clearly senile, do you ever listen to him talk? He can barely get out complete sentences. He's over 90 years old. Before you dismiss me as some rude punk, I used to work at a retirement home and I have a huge family and know lots of old people. I still think we should respect and honor our elders, but Ralph should really just step down and relax for what little time he has left. People in their 90s are not even able to survive on their own. He simply can not even live on his own without assistance anymore, and likely requires assistance to use the bathroom. That is not the kind of sharp, dynamic leader that can turn this thing around. -
The Bills tried to deal Lynch to Philly, but they thought a 3rd rounder was way too much to give up for him. Seems like they are shopping him real hard, but no one wants him. I predict there will be no news because no one wants him.

In this thread you post who you think will be the Bills biggest competition for the number one pick and why (bad team, bad coaching, tough schedule, injuries, etc). Here's a short list to get you started (in no particular order): Cleveland Browns Oakland Raiders Detroit Lions Carolina Panthers San Francisco 49ers Do any of these teams have the heart and commitment to outstink the Bills and steal away Andrew Luck from us?

Who gets released this week?

Too bad for him. Seems like this was the year everyone finally figured out that he was Jamon and not Javon, too. -
Patriots Playing Lots of Rookies
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you. People just like to take their anger regarding the Bills out on people that are honest about the Bills flaws on these boards - that's why instead of talking about how good, playoff contending teams can still play all their young guys yet the Bills seem to limit their playing time. -

He's always been one of the worst owners in football. The only thing he has ever done well is to build a propaganda machine that brainwashes the locals into feeling like they don't deserve an NFL team, and that he will move the team away from them if they ever complain. -
The Owner Of My Company Was Fired
NaPolian8693 replied to BuffaloWest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you even read his post? Many companies have multiple people with small ownership shares, and they are all owners. A board of directors, appointed by the owners, has the final say on running the business. -
My God that is now a long history of completely impotent offense. Those passing numbers are an absolute joke.

My point is that Samuel Adams and Gaines Adams both have the same market value in a trade. -
Kelsay has the second most solo tackles so far this year for the Bills.
