Fans with bags on their heads at the Ralph
NaPolian8693 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is Ralph is too old to change anything. He is surrounded by leeches in the front office that will just keep the status quo until he finally dies. Look at the last two GMs, bringing in an old friend like Levy even though he is not qualified for the job, and then just promoting Nix from within and keeping everyone else like Brandon/Modrak/Littman/Overdorf, etc. He's a dying old man, he is not capable of performing a search for a new GM even if he wanted to. I mean, who is even going to make the phone calls and do the interviews? It would be one of his Yes-Men, like Russ, and the leeches would never let anyone come in here that would shake things up too much. It's sad, but it's really just a group of front office executive vultures preying on Ralph for big salaries with no accountability. -
Time frame for a turnaround?
NaPolian8693 replied to Bills fan in TX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Truth. Also, if the Bills don't draft well this coming offseason, it will be at least three or four more years before they can think about competing for a playoff spot. -
Andrew Luck can play Linebacker too !!
NaPolian8693 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy is one hell of a competitor. Smart, too. Kind of like a much better version of Fitzpatrick. -
As anyone that has been around Bills fans could predict, fans are starting to feel that Fitzpatrick is "good enough" and the Bills need to address other areas, such as the O-line or defensive front seven with the number one pick instead of taking a quarterback. The problem is, that if you sure up some holes on this team and keep Fitzpatrick, next year the Bills will have enough in the tank to win about five or six games, and never get that chance at their next franchise QB. They will be right back on track to wallow in 7-9 mediocrity for a few more years. Fitzpatrick might not be the most glaring weakness on this team, but the reality is that he is not a playoff caliber QB. He's a scrappy competitor and I like that and would be happy to keep him as a backup, but he could never start for a good franchise. This upcoming draft will be the most important draft the Bills have had in a long, long time.

You pay $25 to park in the stadium lot, and part of what you are paying for is the right to be messy and act like a cave man. That is part of the fun of tailgating. Dirty stadium lots provide jobs to people on the clean up crews. No tailgate trash means people losing jobs. Also, very poor people can earn some extra cash for themselves by filling their shopping carts with trash. Sometimes I pile my empties up to make it easier for the homeless. Sometimes I just crush the cans, though, because I don't care that much. The reality is that when you have that many people going to an event, you are going to have trash and need clean up crews. It's the same thing as cleaning up after a concert. Heck, you even have to clean up a movie theater after every showing because people leave trash around. That's life. Tailgating is no different.

Is it Time to Root for 0-16 Yet?
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills took a big step towards their goals by losing to Jacksonville. That was a dangerously winnable games at home against a bad football team. With home games remaining against Detroit and Cleveland, 0-16 still seems like the impossible dream, but I'm starting to Billieve these guys can do it! Hey-ey-EY-ey Let's Go Buff-a-lo! -
There has definitely been little pass rush, and that has made things harder on the secondary, but COME ON. Five games in and he has still not made one single big play? He got a bunch of lucky, fluke interceptions on tipped balls and horrible overthrows and fans just don't want to be honest that he is playing at a low level this year. I guess this lingering phantom injury will be the excuse all season long.

A lot of paper bags on fans heads

You reduce yourself to petty name calling, much like a child. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You wouldn't last two minutes in my jungle HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OK, Chief! -
Lee Evans thing has been done a million times, he is a bottom of the barrel number one or a pretty good number two.

Is Alex Smith and Option for Buffalo?

I wonder what it is about Bills fans that makes them want awful QBs so much... -
Where the problem lies, No Brainer.

A lot of paper bags on fans heads

What I have to say is more important than what everyone else has to say. That is why my font is big - you can easily scan past the drivel and get right to the big font gold. -
Tonight during the Eagles/49ers game, Michaels mentioned that the Eagles have no starters left from their 2004 Super Bowl team. Not a single starter left. Over the last five seasons, while turning over their entire roster, they managed playoff appearances in three out of those five seasons while playing in the tough NFC East.

I mostly agree Wizard but I would trade Evans for Crabtree in a heartbeat. I'd happily toss in a late round pick, too.

Is this guy going to make a single play this year or what? It's bad enough he's going to get zero interceptions this year, but he could at least come up with a big hit or pass breakup once in a blue moon.

As Offensive as the Offense is...
NaPolian8693 replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Steelers have given up less than 250 rushing yards so far this season. The Bears have played five games and have given up less than 400 rushing yards. The Bills have given up over 900 rushing yards already this season - 200 yards more than any other team in the league. What puts it over the top is that the Bills haven't given up any 40yd+ runs, so its not like those numbers are inflated from a couple huge plays. -

Wouldn't be shocked to see George Edwards fired this week.
NaPolian8693 replied to Cuze's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be pretty surprised if they fired him this week. -
Whitner- "bills are laughing stock of the league"
NaPolian8693 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any time a draft pick doesn't live up to expectations, it casts him in a bad light with the fans - regardless of whether or not those expectations were reasonable. Also, although I like that he is passionate about football and I like that he communicates with the fans via Twitter and such, sometimes he comes across as a bit too desperate for attention. -
I was thinking Fig.

Ralph Will Never Fire This Regime
NaPolian8693 replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this regime doesn't turn it around and the team suffers several dismal losing seasons in a row, I'm saying Ralph is now too old to do anything about it. The Bills can win four or fewer games for the next three or four seasons and if Ralph stays alive there will be no consequences for failure. -
I'm not saying there is no such thing as racism in this day and age, but I will say this: If a celebrity of ANY race/age/gender/whatever got busted for cheating with more than a dozen partners, many of whom were pornstars, and a bunch of shocking text messages came out - you can bet your ass that it there will be one hell of a media circus surrounding it with people lining up to pass judgement. Right now the Favre thing is still in the early stages and nothing is concrete, but if more stuff starts coming out he will definitely feel the burn just like Tiger.

OK, before we get into the revisionist history
NaPolian8693 replied to Bowl Winner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To any outsider, it's blatantly obvious the Bills are one of the those junk franchises that always screws it up. The Bills are a bit of a punchline. Maybe this draft class will go against the grain and pan out, but given it's the Bills odds are that it will turn out to be another draft failure. -
Put it this way- Its NOT FAIR FOR US FANS!
NaPolian8693 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is much wisdom in this post. -
You don't want some gimmick mobile scrambling quarterback. You want a guy that can read a defense and make all the throws and have a true command of the offense. If he can scramble a little that's a bonus but it's not really important.
