  1. I really hope Stevie has a good year. I love the guy.
  2. Roscoe Parrish is a decent 4th receiver. I like the guy and hope he finds a place on this team, but I no longer expect him to develop into a star. I mean, he's going into his SEVENTH SEASON in the league. If he was going to truly break out, he'd have done so by now. I mean, look at Johnson - he made the most of his chances and broke out in a big way. That doesn't mean I want him cut, that just means I only want to see him in 4-wide and maybe some 3-wide sets.
  3. They ruined his career by moving him to ILB. He was a 4-3 edge rusher in college. He was good at dipping and coming around the edge. He doesn't really fit their current scheme so they just decided to roll the dice and try something new. It's over for him now. Too bad, I thought he had some potential. If he had been in a 4-3 system and they had him bulk up a bit, I think he would have had a better chance. Don't get me wrong, though - he was still always going to be a longshot anywhere he went and the Bills couldn't really be expected to build their whole defense around him.
  4. There are some guys on this list that could really help the Bills. Besides providing an immediate upgrade in the quality of line play, they could do quite a bit to show some the young guys on the line how a successful veteran prepares and plays.
  5. He starts without the beard then doesn't shave during the season.
  6. I generally like Walter Football and feel like they are usually fairly reasonable with their takes. I was looking at their season previews, and was shocked to see them project the Bills as a 9-7 team this year. I think they are smoking crack on this one. Walter Football lost some credibility with me on this one, but I figure it would give some of you guys a boner so here you go: http://www.walterfootball.com/offseason2011buf.php edit: btw I put them at 5-11 but I suppose it's good that someone outside this message board gives them a shot
  7. They kick off from closer and allow the players a shorter run up now. These changes reduce violent collisions. Moving up where the touchback is awarded doesn't change these "benefits", but just induces kickers to keep it in play more often.
  8. The fix is to have touchbacks give you the ball on the 30. Then kickers will have a reason to try to finesse a high floater to the goal line instead of just booting it out the back of the end zone. Of perhaps punt off instead of kick off, since punts are still deemed safe. To answer your question, yes, of course it is too late to change. This rule is here for this year and won't be addressed until after the season. It might not even change after this year, either. I mean, they KNEW FULL WELL that every kickoff would be a touchback when they made this rule. It's not like they are unaware of how far an NFL kicker can kick the ball.
  9. Bills are too dumb to get luck. They will be in a close race with the likes of the Bengals, and win some meaningless late season game to blow the pick. If somehow they manage to get the number one pick, there's a fair chance he would just stay in college, and do what Elway/Manning did and just go play somewhere else anyways.
  10. They drafted pretty well and morale went up some. Then they did nothing much in free agency. Yes, they signed a couple guys, but also lost a bunch of guys, and didn't get any better. Not addressing the o-line was especially disheartening. The loss of Evans just reminds everywhere of what an inept organization this is, and it's just hard to be fired up when you know you are fighting and uphill battle every year, and there is really not much hope for the future since nothing will change until there is a change in ownership.
  11. They didn't need to trade Evans to free up cash for Williams. They had plenty of cash available regardless of Evans.
  12. Pigpen is much more likely to start than Smith should Fitz falter. Tyler is Chan's boy.
  13. It's funny how fans work. Bills fans think the KC game is a great chance for a win. KC fans view this game as likely the most winnable game on their entire schedule.
