It's because there's so much more to it than just the yards they pick up as a RB or WR during preseason games. Sure, those are part of the equation, but Anthony Grey wasn't going to unseat Travis Henry as our starter. Grey, for example, was just plain awful with picking up the blitz. We only see part of what goes into determining the final roster but we gotta remember...it's all vanilla play schemes in the preseason. Some of these guys who look great in preseaon but get cut are terrible in the classroom....they aren't that good in a more complicated play scheme like we usually run during the season. They get the basics and do great but in closed practices, they're sucking big time in the real plays.

I have a combination VCR-DVD recorder...kinda how I transfer tapes to DVD That's how I handle road games...but for home games, I can either waste DVD space and record directly to DVD or tape and then transfer...since I'm at all Bills home games

It was more a figure of speech than anything. I do use video tapes...but then transfer them to DVD while editing out commercials

Every snap and sometimes I'll go back and look at the tape I made as well

They don't even get paid for games..nor are they sponsored by the Bills at all. But the Jills being at training camp is usually a given. I was stunned when Steph told me that they weren't even invited to be there. I know some of the girls were looking forward to camp...they were waiting for the sign-up sheet that never came

I've stopped at Pittsford Pub the last couple years after camp and they've got some excellent wings

Quality Markets, Tops, and Aldi's. Quality is the closest...about a mile away. Tops has my bank stationed in it. Aldi's has the best prices. I'll hit Wegman's occasionally but it's the farthest away of all 4 stores from me and the last time I went there to do the bulk of my shopping, I couldn't find everything I wanted and the ad was incorrect.

He's on the cover of Madden this year...that's the only reason I'm against him coming here. He'd either play terribly or break his string of consecutive starts when he goes on IR. Madden coverboys never have a good season

I'm not sold on Edwards yet but Favre is the Madden coverboy so bringing him in would be a disaster TE is a question mark...but Shockey is a bigger question mark WR could be much improved this year but I'm all for improving the talent at the position. Ocho Cinco may be a bit of a gloryhound at times but not disruptively so

met Steve Christie briefly last year at a Sabres Alumni game in Jamestown...he was a special guest of some sort...didn't seem that talkative, though. His wife was pretty nice, though.

Well, there's obviously the players at camp from time to time...at least when they were at Fredonia. Beyond that Al Bemiller used to do security in my section and we got invites to Billy Shaw's induction reception in Canton...met Ralph, Billy and his wife (he almost forgot her a 2nd time that day), Denny Lynch, and a lot of old time players like Edgerson and Piccone...it was an open bar til 6...so basically Ralph was buying our drinks then Al, Denny, and I took turns buying rounds for our little group. ran into BRUCE and Thurman a few times over at Big Tree after games..traded stories with Denny Lynch a few times at Danny's as well talked to AVP (as well as Dan Hampton and Sean Salisbury once) after a game While covering the 1st round of Jills cuts for my site in 06, met JP and Coy http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buf...ewithCoysgf.jpg met McGee at the 06 Jills Congratulatory Party...Stamer both in 06 and in 07 talked to Ruben Brown at the Men's Show for a little bit http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buf...s%20Show/22.jpg Met Kelly in Canton last year...as well as Marcus Allen...told him how much I enjoyed watching him play...but only on TV cause anytime I saw him play in person, it was against the Bills...lol....which he understood talked to Tasker and his wife Sarah in Canton in 01 as well as Metzelaars...told Sarah that we missed her Christmas cards (Bills season ticket holders get Christmas cards from the team every year and while Steve was on the team, they were all some of Sarah's artwork)

I'd imagine Felser nominated him a few times but he was more of a care taker QB than anything else. Anyway, Tom Sestak, possibly our greatest DT ever along with Big Ted, is far more deserving and it's pathetic that he's not already in.

this bears repeating. I think it's almost funny that people ass-u-me that they know everything that's going on behind the scenes and are insistent that because it's not being reported as happening, it can't be happening. It's especially funny since I heard a rumor a few months ago that things are already set up to keep the Bills here in Buffalo. Considering how confident Jim Kelly is in keeping the team here, it's a rumor I really have to believe...that Ralph will pass the team on to his wife (no inheritance tax) who will then sell to Kelly's group of investors.

That'd be cool. So when I pull into Drive 1, I'll be pulling off Tim Russert Way. I like it Considering we don't need, nor can we afford, a new stadium right now, I think naming a new stadium after him would be kinda late...since it could be another 10-20 years before that happens
