make sure you include a note: "This is what a Super Bowl winning tight end looks like!"

I wonder why they switched hotels. In the past, the Chargers always stayed at Adam's Mark

Stuff to do in Buffalo- places to eat.

sometimes you can get autographs near the players lot. On occasion, some players go to Big Tree Inn after games...but don't go asking for autographs there. I remember when I used to go there after a lot of games...used to run into Bruce and Thurman a lot. There was a preseason game in 98 after which Bruce stopped in. He didn't even make it to the bar when someone asked him for his autograph. He left before getting a drink...can't say as I blamed him. -
Marshawn, Do you see what I see with this guy?

what's sad is that last year at this time, we were noting how the offensive line was great. Now they're anything but great...the same 5 guys!! Thanks a lot, Peters!! -

Favorite Pre or Post Game Buffalo Bills Chant?
The_Philster replied to EndZoneCrew's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
when Fish fans walk by our tailgate... They're Aqua! They're Coral! They give each other oral!! When Jets or Eagles fans walk by They're Green! They're White! They do each other at night! Obviously not the Eagles as much, though. Funny story...some Jets fans were walking by and we made that chant...an Eagles fan who was parked nearby came over and asked us what we said. We told him and he loved it! When we told him we do the same with his team, he just laughed. -
I wanted Ngata at the time....but I sure as hell ain't complaining about the pick we made in Whitner

dude....putting words in someone's mouth is a form of dishonesty...a terrible character trait. No one's absolving him of anything. The Wall of Fame is there to celebrate contributions to Buffalo Bills football, pure and simple. You can't change the past no matter how much you try. Everything the Wall of Fame is based on happened long before the murders...back before he was a total scumbag. I find it hard to believe anyone would've brought him in had he committed the murders back in 1969...your post is beyond ridiculous besides being based on lies.

Yeah, I know....cause it wasn't funny sitting through that season. Truth be told, I think a better QB would've made things better. Todd always had that "deer in the headlights" look about him. All the talk in that offseason was how it was a QB competition between Collins and Hobert for the starting job. AVP wasn't brought up....and that entire offseason I was sure Alex would end up winning the starting job. Unfortunately he separated his shoulder on his 2nd play of the preseason and it was never the same.

if that's not sarcasm, might wanna watch out for the cops....any drug strong enough to say something that ridiculous has to be illegal

I always understood that...but what you seem to ignore is the fact that the other players have important parts to play as well. I don't care if the QB is Elway, Montana, or Kelly, he won't see a win if he's playing with a bunch of scrubs. To say that the QB deserves credit for the wins and losses is to suggest that the other players on the team don't matter. Every player on the team is important for wins and losses. Here's an example...my first regular season game as a season ticket holder. Bills-Patriots 1996 Kelly went 14-27 for 173 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT Now, keep in mind that all statistics really are team statistics...an INT can't really be laid at the feet of the QB all the time...sometimes it's a bad route, sometimes it's something as simple as the receiver not catching the ball cleanly and it bobbles and is caught by a DB. Basically, Kelly had a mediocre day at best but "he got the win" because Phil Hansen tackled Dave Meggett at the end of the game just short of the goal line. Of course, Hansen wasn't the only one who made that play...Meggett wouldn't have had to go towards Hansen except that Bruce and Washington cut off the lane the play was designed to go through.

nice that you ignore the whole point of my post. I never said the QB wasn't important...I even admitted he might be the most important player on the team (for you to be claiming that I said the QB wasn't important is dishonest to say the least...and ignorant considering the proof is right out here in the open of what I said)....but he sure as hell isn't the only player...thanks for playing

It's true that a QB has a large impact on the game, probably even a larger impact that any other player...but still not the only player who has an impact. Do you really think the Super Bowl Bills would've won as much as they did if Kelly hadn't had Andre, Lofton, and Beebe to throw to? Thurman and Davis to carry the ball, Hull and the rest of the O-line to block, BRUCE to sack opposing QBs, Talley and Bennett to shut down RBs, Odomes and Jones to pick off passes? I GUARANTEE you that Kelly doesn't feel he won those games by himself which is what the whole win-loss record for QBs seems to imply.

As someone who's competed in team sports myself, I know I'd feel insulted if someone said that, for example, Johnny won the game when I did a lot to contribute to the win as well. Besides, if you surround Joe Montana with a high school team and match them up with Ryan Leaf and a top-level NFL team, do you really think that the high school team would win? Ask any football player and they'll back me up when I say that football is the ultimate team sport. Hell, Marcellus Wiley said those exact words on NFL Live just the other day. There is no official win-loss record for any position in football nor should there be. Hell, the only team sport where a single player has a win-loss record is the pitcher in baseball and don't tell me that A-Rod, for example, doesn't do a lot to help win games as well. Unless the pitcher throws 27 strike-outs in a row, he had a lot of help to win that game.

I'm not trying to turn this into yet another "remove OJ from the Wall of Fame thread" I'm just looking to get a consensus view of what people think of when they see OJ's name on the Wall of Fame. It was placed there long before the murder and the Wall is there to recognize his accomplishments as a Buffalo Bills RB, not what kind of person he is. Quite honestly, removing his name would be a big story nationally and lead to more controversy than there is now with him remaining on the Wall. My first time in the stadium was the 1996 preseason game against Washington...only about a year removed from the acquittal. When I looked up and saw his name up on the Wall of Fame, I didn't think about the murders, I thought about the 2,003 yard season, the way he could turn in mid-air on his runs from scrimmage, and the way that Barry Sanders' running style was so similar. Some people don't seem to be able to separate the man from the athletic accomplishments and I'm curious how many view it one way or the other.
-
and besides, some of us are able to realize the difference between the man and the athlete....the people who aren't able to...well...not much I can say

Here's a fact. Football is the ultimate team sport and everytime a QB is given sole credit for a win or a loss, it's insulting to his teammates
