Florio thinks the Bills will make a run at Vick
The_Philster replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No prob...just irks me when people give him a lot more credit than he deserves....for a good chunk of 99, he kept tucking the ball instead of throwing. He killed drives that could've ended with TDs. Why? A couple possibilities 1...he liked getting on Sportscenter by running around like a chicken with its head cut off...unlikely but possible 2...noodle arm...he started off 99 ok (except for getting Thurman injured in the 1st game...another thing that pisses me off about him)...stunk through the middle of the season...then started playing better towards the end...before he was benched for the playoffs. Through the middle of the season, I was bitching for them to bench him....then Wade listened...too late -

In what alternate reality did he make the Pro Bowl in 1999? Get your facts straight....that was 98 that he deservedly made the Pro Bowl...he didn't make it in 1999 http://www.supernfl.com/ProBowl99.html http://www.supernfl.com/ProBowl98.html -
The phrase bull sh-- doesn't seem strong enough. If you treat a pit bull with love and care, you'll have a loving and caring friend. If you treat a German Shepherd the way scum like Vick treated those pit bulls, you'll have a vicious dog These are the same people who would probably take OJ Simpson as our RB now and Rae Carruth as our WR...Vick's only a few notches below those scumbags, IMO

No...the #1 defense in the NFL took us to the playoffs DESPITE Flutie...Flutie stunk up the field for a good portion of 1999 -
Only to toss that piece of garbage over the Falls...that's the only reason he should ever be seen in WNY

He was part of an organized criminal activity that tortured and slaughtered not only the pit bulls and other dogs that they trained to fight (which is beyond sick) but family pets as well. Besides all that, he lied about it after he was found out. He was a below average QB anyway and after that, goes down as one of the biggest scumbags in the history of the NFL...I hope Goodell never reinstates that piece of trash and I'd sooner see him thrown over the Falls than have him play a down in Buffalo. As for the race card, that's beyond stupid...there are white guys involved in that sick crime as well and they should all be treated the same....do to all of them what they did to those poor pets. -
Hulu has an agreement with NBC and FOX...not with CBS

The reason is pretty easy to figure out, actually. When he switched to WGR, he was paired up with Dickerson..he learned his lessons well

Opinion on Will linebacker entering Camp
The_Philster replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Will LB will be Kawika Mitchell....same spot he manned last year...The Sam LB is up in the air, though -
I don't get that into it myself but I've conversed with TO and Jessica Alba in the past on my private account and just got a message from TO on my blog's account, too...so it can be kinda fun but it's no social networking site like Facebook or Myspace

neat trick since that was Bledsoe's 2nd season on the team...neither of those other 2 losers were here nor did we play the Chargers that year

The record also shows that TO does't get into trouble with the law...which is what Lori was alluding to Personally, I hated the idea of signing TO because he's been so disruptive...and a disruptive player causes more problems than he solves. TO said when he got here that the media made up all the issues....obviously not true in the case of TO calling Garcia a homo...but beyond that, I had to wonder how true Terrell's statement was. They DID make a big deal out of him getting #81 when anyone who paid attention knew there was nothing to the non-issue. I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude with him but so far, he's been doing pretty well in my book

didn't understand it myself...but I remember seeing that years ago...our QB coach at the time, Steve Kragthorpe, relayed it to the media

RJ took a lot of sacks because he was poorly coached in college. After the 2000 season but before they dumped the midget, former USC coach John Robinson came out and admitted that he had RJ coached to look for the big play. That, combined with the fact that RJ didn't have as much faith in his receivers as he should've, is why RJ held onto the ball so long and took a lot of sacks

RJ was 5 years, $25M JP was 5 years, $10.3M RJ was a bigger bust both on the field and against the cap

The main reason the Bills will leave the Buffalo area....
The_Philster replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think many people would be 100% shocked if they leave. Personally, I'm pretty sure they won't but there's always that little nagging doubt. Point is, threads like these only serve to piss people off. Most Bills fans would rather concentrate on the present and having the team here...but there are some so-called fans who like to piss people off and bring the focus to a bad future without the team...though there aren't many like this one that insult the people of Western NY. -
JP....he actually had some good games and didn't have the top defense in the league to bail him out like Flutie and RJ did

Don't know what the Wegman's talk is about but it's pretty cowardly to make accusations like this over the internet...no wonder the Zone banned you...I attacked your posts and you attack me personally...someone else who just likes to flex his internet muscles or are you gonna talk big if you ever show your face in Buffalo, too? -

his post quality is much higher, though...not a hard task when comparing to Scooby's drivel Couple of things The only people ripping Ralph for not signing every big name free agent out there are total idiots for a few reasons 1...Ralph isn't the GM...he signs off on deals but he's not the one deciding who the Bills are looking to sign 2...There's a salary cap in place...we can't sign every big name out there...the league wouldn't allow it 3...We sign plenty of players for big money..to say we don't is beyond idiotic. Do the players we sign deserve that money? Not always...but it sure as hell has nothing to do with what we spend on players...it has to do with making the right choices in selecting players to bring in...we can B word about wasting money on players like Dockery and Kelsay, but all we're doing is proving that we're good at hindsight. When the players were give those big deals, they were expected to live up to them. If anyone knew without a shadow of a doubt that they wouldn't, you sure as hell better be rich off of lotto winnings because you'd have to be psychic to know that. Can people please get a basic education on how players are paid in the NFL? Ticket prices have NOTHING, ZIP, ZILCH, NADA, to do with how much we can pay players. The player salary cap is approximately 60% of shared revenue...which includes merchandising and television deals. We could pay an average of $500 a ticket and it wouldn't allow us to spend more than $128M on player salaries this year...so stop with the ticket price-player salaries links....it's mind-numbing how stupid that idea is. As far as how ticket prices in Buffalo compare to those in NYC or NE, learn some basics about economics. We pay significantly less for things in Buffalo than we would in those other places....because that's what the market can afford. A person making $26K a year in Buffalo would have to make over $46K in NYC to maintain his standard of living -
well said...a lot of people said Moulds was a bust after his 1st 2 seasons, too...while it would've been great to see Hardy perform like DeSean Jackson and Eddie Royal, it'd be stupid to expect it and even more so to think a guy's a bust after 1 season
