Anyone Agree with Tim Graham on This?

They didn't constantly up BRUCE's salary every year with new contracts, though -

I see our S depth chart on Opening day as SS-Whitner-Scott-Wendling FS-Byrd-Wilson That's assuming Byrd is as good as the coaches think. If not, then Donte will move to the starting role at FS until Byrd is ready -
funny thing is, the Bills actually handed out horns to fans about a decade or so ago..we were able to bring them in the rest of the season and another season or so, I think

CBS Sportsline blurb on Whitner, Scott and Byrd
The_Philster replied to Whites Bay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They wanted to put the best players on the field. They felt the Scott-Whitner tandem was better than the Whitner-Simpson one. It wasn't that they thought that Scott was better himself, but that the tandem was better -

Truth be told, Peters was a good LT...when he wanted to be. That's the trick...he's totally unprofessional and doesn't care enough to be truly great. We all remember how Bruce used to complain about his contract..even blew off camp a lot. Yet when he came in, he gave it 110%. The worst he ever was was the 2006 opener...in the 1st half he was playing into form...as if it were preseason...then he dominated in the 2nd half and made the key play in OT to help win the game. Point is...Bruce was a professional...and that's a big reason why he's getting inducted into Canton in less than 6 weeks. Peters doesn't have that kind of professionalism. When he's unhappy about his contract, he pouts and doesn't put in much effort and it hurts the team...costs us games. -
GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. (AP) — Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson is in no hurry to have his team play more than one regular-season game in Toronto. Wilson told the Associated Press on Sunday he'd prefer waiting "two or three years" to determine whether the northern experiment is a success before he'd consider reworking the contract reached last year with Toronto-based Rogers Communications. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...n-toronto_N.htm And that's a big F U to Rogers Communications

Is Goodell doing a good job.
The_Philster replied to Jeffery Lester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Simply obeying the law really isn't high character...though it does indicate a measure of good character. It's just that the stories of low character players dominate the media -

The victim was out in the middle of the street...not even in a crosswalk...from everything I heard, it would've been hard for anyone to avoid hitting him...even completely sober. It sounded like he started walking across the street just around the corner from where Stallworth was driving -

Rehabilitated is one thing...but given the privilege of playing a game for millions of dollars is quite another. There are plenty of professions that you can't get a job in if you are convicted of any felony, and some that you can't get jobs in if you're convicted of anything over a traffic violation. The NFL is a high profile corporation in which it really can't afford to have someone employed in the public eye who's been convicted of committing multiple vicious felonies. If Goodell ever reinstates Vick, or anyone else convicted of such a vicious crime, it'll be a black mark against the league and it'll be hard to ever take him seriously as someone committed to cleaning up the league's image. -

then you should've quoted him and left me out of it...because what I said had nothing do with that assertion -

If you're gonna quote my post, please do the courtesy of reading it. No one said he played S at Oregon...but a safety is a DB...a defensive back -

There's plenty of players who have the ability but aren't criminals...Goodell need to be tough on the troublemakers. In a league where publicity is at an all-time high, Goodell can't afford to be relaxed with players who get in trouble. To suggest otherwise is idiotic The true litmus test will be when Vick comes up for reinstatement. Anyone convicted of a vicious felony can never be reinstated and if Goodell ever reinstates probably the biggest scumbag since Rae Carruth, it'll be hard to ever take him seriously as far as dealing with troublemakers again -

Pass protection is a high priority when protecting the QB's blind side and Peters was the worst LT in the league at that. Sorry, but a LT is supposed to try to prevent sacks...not just wave people past -

The_Philster replied to Whites Bay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Byrd starts, Whitner gets his SS starting job back and Scott moves to the bench. On dime packages that require a 3rd safety, Donte will move to a utility role and Scott will move in at SS...but no way does Donte get benched in the basic package -
You gotta love the flutie magic
The_Philster replied to downunderbill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think I recall that article...a lot of people thought Bucky was full of it but from everything I heard, it was pretty much on target. I remember one guy who sat in front of me one game back in the day relating to me how he had met Flutie and RJ once in 98 and Flutie was a total prick to him while RJ was very congenial -
PROGRAMMING ALERT: Terrell Owens

actually, TO is telling people to keep watching...now whether that means he'll still be there or whether he's saying that just to support the show is anybody's guess -

Interesting tidbit http://twitter.com/joannakrupa/friends She follows him on Twitter but he doesn't follow her http://twitter.com/terrellowens81/friends Must be she wants to be able to keep being a B word towards him? -

Krupa's a royal B word. He screwed up the 1st heat and he took the blame for it...but he gave her a lead in the 2nd heat and even after Lisa Leslie stumbled, Krupa fouled up....and she was still bitching at TO -
I think that Rootie's closed a couple years ago...but I guess there's one in Getzville now

never had dry wings at Duff's...they've always had lots of sauce everytime I've gone. I 2nd Rhino's....great job on their wings and their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is stupendous, IMO\ Big Tree is outstanding, too...had some wings there after the draft day party...1st time I'd been in there for more than a few minutes in about a decade or so

When does T.O's reality show start?
The_Philster replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
July 20th on VH1 @ 10p according to T.O. himself on his Twitter page -
I'm pretty sure Ralph doesn't have to tell you, me, or anyone else about everything he does. No one knows other than Ralph and anyone who might be involved in a deal to buy the Bills whether Ralph's affairs are in order or not. Quite frankly, the rumor that came out a year and a half ago that Mary Wilson would get the team and then sell it to Kelly's group of investors makes sense and could be a fact for all we know. Saying that Ralph won't get his affairs in order in regards to the team is pretty ignorant to say the least. If he sells the team before his death, then he gets taxed on the sale of the team...and then his inheritors also pay taxes on the estate...double taxation If the team is sold by his estate after his death, the sale is taxed once What kind of fool would actually pay taxes twice on the same money when there's a way not to?
