  1. It's not so much thinking like him, but being able to afford it. Ralph's right..they're not raising ticket prices because of the WNY economy. Sure, there's a lot of people who CAN afford to pay a lot more...but there's a lot of diehard fans who can't afford to pay much more. Ralph knows it and values all the fans, not just the wealthier ones
  2. Ditto...people are sick of talking about the idea of us losing our team. Most Bills fans would abandon the NFL...how many times do we need to say it?
  3. anyone who doesn't know a Pinto is a mobile grill has never tailgated like a pro
  4. except Buddy Nix...he was a key member of the scouting department in the 90s and just came back to town this year
  5. Pretty sure it's a grill
  6. I vote we trade Bob Matthews to Miami for a blogger and draft picks to be named later....!@#$ing idiot
  7. One day after it was unveiled, a Thurman Thomas tree carving was stolen stolen from the Erie Community College parking lot, across from gate four at Ralph Wilson Stadium. http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?...;provider=gnews
  8. They're in the same market, so yes. The issue is that no NFL owner can own another pro sports team in a different market than the one his NFL team is in.
  9. I don't buy it for a second. The rumor came out a year and a half ago that there was already a plan in place for Jim Kelly's group to get the team from Ralph's wife after his passing (he can leave it to her, his spouse, with no estate tax). Shutting Golisano out only lends more credence to the rumor.
  10. agreed...it would be classless and it simply isn't the place for it undeserved? because of longevity? You must be new to the NFL and the Bills if you actually think that. Try...he's getting it based on all he did to make the AFL successful and the merger. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself, kid...maybe you can refrain from making foolish posts like this one again http://www.profootballhof.com/enshrinement...ipt&print=y Just take a look at what Chris Berman said about him when he presented him for induction this past August
  11. Yes, there is human input to it. I don't think when we play division opponents is a big thing...although as far as us playing the Pats* right after their bye 4 years in a row can't be a coincidence. The Toronto games won't always be division games...there's only 3 division opponents and 5 games...the other 2 games will be against opponents that we face relatively often from among other AFC teams. I don't see them using any NFC opponents up there as it would be unfair to the fans of the team that have waited to see those teams for 8 seasons. They won't want to make fans wait to see an opponent 16 years. It's bad enough they kept screwing up for decades and not scheduling the Bucs here until this year.
  12. reads nice as a fiction piece. Couple errors Polian ran himself out of town...Ralph fired him for starting fights with other people in the organization, both the late Linda Bogdan and Treasurer Jeff Littman. No matter how good an employee is, he/she won't get away with starting fights within any real company...just a fact of life. Chuck Knox was a pretty big name when we hired him and Tom Donahoe was, at the time, widely regarded as one of the best GMs in the league when he was hired as well.
  13. If you actually think that getting the #1 pick guarantees us a better player than a player at #14, I have some oceanfront property in Kansas to sell you. The draft is a crapshoot...there are some players who look great in college who suck in the NFL....and others who look average in college who turn out to be stars. The only thing getting a high draft pick gets you for sure is the chance to pay him an even more ungodly amount of money...and be screwed for a few years if he turns out to be a bust.
  14. It's a crap shoot...the only thing a high draft pick guarantees is that you have to pay whoever it is an ungodly amount of money no matter how he pans out. Or do the people saying we should tank the season forget Mike Williams already?
  15. Well said...Rooting for or hoping for a loss shows what kind of a person you are...definitely not a fan. At the present time, all real Bills fans are rooting for a 13-3 regular season
  16. that's what I mean...double taxation is what will happen if anything but this scenario happens When Ralph passes, Mary gets the team and sells it...spouse doesn't have to pay inheritance tax
  17. The refs have been cheating for the Pats since 98, at least "Just Give It To Them"
  18. agreed...He'd be paying taxes on the sale and then his heirs would be paying taxes on the estate
  19. It does depend on the team...some at the Hyatt, some at Adam's Mark, some at the Marriott Not the Millenium....the Bills stay there the night before home games
  20. A few things People attacked your understanding of football and the ignorance in your post...you weren't attacked personally...calling people idiots or stupid is breaking the rules that you agreed to follow when you signed up here http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?act=boardrules Polian has been gone for over a decade because his temper and mouth got him into trouble. Let me just clue into how things work in the real world. No matter how good you are at your job, if you start fights with people who rank higher in the organization than you, you'll be out on your ass. Go ahead and try starting a fight at work...see if I'm wrong Peters was the worst LT in the league last year because he was lazy and didn't care to do his job...!@#$ him. We've been wanting a WR to take pressure off Evans ever since we lost Moulds...when you only have 1 starting caliber WR, it's bad for the offense and the team. A LT who gives up more sacks than any other LT in the league? Not making the team better. Ralph has proven time and again that he's not cheap when it comes to players...for you to continue to say otherwise is ignorant to say the least.
  21. 1998 against the 49ers is the gold standard for loudness in my book. I think we've had it loud like that on a consistent basis 2 times since then. MNF against the Cowboys 2 years ago and last week. Last year's opener and MNF game were pretty close but not quite on par with how it used to be. This week, we need to match or top last week's effort and set a new standard
  22. when it comes to players, there's way too much proof that he's not
  23. History has shown, including recent history, that Ralph has been more than willing to shell out big money for players so calling Ralph cheap when it comes to signing players is rather idiotic to say the least.
  24. Hopefully not...our kick coverage was awful against New England without him..a little better against Tampa but having our best gunner in there would be a big help
  25. both Drayton has been hurt...that's why he hasn't been active. I'd guess Ashton is a goner next week
