another reason is that we like to sign the re-treads of the nfl and other leagues as well as the large number of undrafted free agents. durability issues are a reason why most of these guys fall through the draft and are frequently released by other teams.

dom capers is pretty set in his ways in regards to the players he wants for his schemes. that would require commitment, and money, and i think we all know that won't work here. we are damn lucky to be .500 right now... at this time, we are by far the worst team in the league. not to mention we have regressed defensively from last year, and that's saying a LOT...!!! i understand that we have injuries, but what team doesn't? i would have no problem with gailey giving it another year, but we need new ideas on defense.
