  1. Its not football related or sports related but I always use The Bumpus Hounds. A tip of the cap to "A Christmas Story".
  2. Thanks to the great spot Hammer saved for me we were out of the lot and on I90 heading home in no time. I think we got in the car at 5pm and were on the interstate by 545. This seems reasonable to me, but it was only my 2nd time to the Ralph. I do know it would have been twice as long to go the same distance in STL or Nashville. Onca again Hammer Thanks for everything.
  3. Quit your bitchin'. You only had to drive 5 hours I would give my left nut to only have to drive 5 hours to see the Bills. I drove 11 hours with the intent of parking in Hammer's Lot. Hammer said he would hold me a spot and even have a SI with the Bills cover for me. And guess what he came through with flying colors. I got there at 930 am an hour later than I had told him, the lot was almost full but he saved me the best spot there was, directly in front of an exit we got out easily. The SI he promised was there and although very busy took the time to go get it from his house and even introduced me to his dog. It says alot about somebody to follow through on promises they make to people they dont know that live 11 hours away and may never see again. I had never met Hammer before and only had a few private messages sent back and forth between us over the last couple of months and he still treated me as if we had been friends for years. Thank you Hammer for the parking and magazine. The close parking and easy exit helped make my wife and I's visit to Orchard Park great. Avoid Hammer's Lot....Only if your a dumbass.
  4. I know Gillett has owned multiple sports franchises, he also owned Evernham Motorsports and Richard Petty Motorsports. He ran both racing teams into the ground and basically stopped paying the bills (equipment and salaries) this all went down last year. Also his former business partner Tom Hicks owned the Texas Rangers and bankrupted them, I know Tom Hicks isn't Mr. Gillett but it doesn't speak to well about the business partners he chooses. For what its worth, I do not have a good feeling about Mr. Gillett. I agree with other posters here and would be worried he would run the Bills into the ground and then sell them.
  5. Much appreciated Hammer, see you Sunday. Can't wait to get there its only my second trip to the Ralph.
  6. I am going with Kelly and Reich Yes, I called and sent emails but was basically told I was S.O.L. Thank you very much it is greatly appreciated, I will reward you on sunday.
  7. I am from Southern Illinois and I would really like to get a Sports Illustrated with the Bills cover. Since it is regional it is not available here. I would be happy to pay extra for someones time if someone could pick one up for me. To make things easier I will be at the Bills game against the Eagles and could meet up and pay it at your convienence. I plan on parking in Hammer's Lot if that makes it any easier. If someone would be willing to do this please send me a PM and we can iron out the details. Once agian thanks in advance to everyone. Also, sorry if this should be in another forum, I am new around here so please take it easy on me.
  8. No problem, it beats the hell out of working.
  9. Just a brief re-cap of the interview. -They talked about alot of the players being "misfits" no one else really wanted or cut, and the use it to motivate themselves. -talked about Coach's style: giving him the freedom to adjust to get open and also mentioned that no one else really wanted to coach in Buffalo except Gailey. -Mentioned Fits giving everyone a chance to make plays. -Gave props to o-line only allowing 1 sack -They are handling the success by continuing to look forward to each game. -Kirwan compared the Ralph atmosphere to the Kelly era. Stevie happy for the fans enjoying the wins and the city is proud of them. -He hasn't seen Ralph Wilson around at all this year. Nothing earth shattering but thought someone may be interested.
  10. Hey everyone im new around here so take it easy on me and I'm sorry if this was posted elsewhere, I looked and didn't see anything. Just letting everyone know Stevie is going to be on Sirius NFL radio at 4:30, Sorry for the short notice but 10 minutes is better than nothing i guess.
  11. This is my first post on the site so go easy on me. I have been attending the Talladega and Charlotte races over 20 years and I usually witness a different act of stupidity every time. NASCAR fans are a different bunch, and I should no I am one, so going to see the people watching the race is worth the price of admission usually. That being said I agree with everyone's comments so far. I have never been to Richmond but if its anything remotely close to the atmosphere at Talledaga you will enjoy it. I don't agree with the people that say once you see a race in person you are hooked, its entertaining but not life changing by any means. Getting to go in the garage area is a interesting thing, if you are a car person then you should enjoy it, try to check out pre-race inspection too. I was lucky enough to attend my fisrt Bills game in Buffalo last year and get the priveldge of going to the Philly game this year, and I must say NASCAR races have nothing on the experience of a home Bills game. My wife and I liked it so much we kicked the Talladega fall race to the curb for a home Bills game every year, now I just have to talk her into one in December. Being from So. Illinois I would imagine the weather difference would be a shock to the senses. Thats enough rambling, enjoy the race and Go Bills.
