  1. I like Steve Levy. He is always enthusiastic when he calls a game, no matter what sport it is.
  2. It will be interesting to see where Allen takes his level of play next season. The issue with accuracy has to improve though. Watching the College National Championship game last night you could see the difference between Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow. It made me think of the difference between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Burrow was so deadly accurate and Lawrence was not. It played out as the difference in the score.
  3. Cody Ford is a high character guy so if he says he will donate the money to charity I fully believe he will. What I don't understand is how the NFL can fine Ford $28k but not fine Clowney for a helmet to helmet hit that knocked Wentz completely out of the game and maybe end his career. The NFL should follow college football and their "Targeting" and eject anyone for helmet to helmet.
  4. Oh really, ask Mike Nugent when he got cut by the Patriots a couple of weeks ago. He missed a 34 yard field goal and had a 29 yard field goal blocked. He was 5 of 8 with the Pats so that means two of the three he missed were in his last game with them.
  5. I see this game as a toss-up. If the Bills are to make the playoffs and be taken seriously as a team that can succeed in the playoffs then they need to win this game with a dominate effort. The same holds true in two weeks against Denver, but lets take it a game at a time.
  6. I think what makes analytics so good for baseball is that you can apply it throughout the minor leagues as well. The spin rate on a pitchers curveball or bat speed for a hitter can be measured at any level of baseball and compared to any level of baseball. That may not work as well in football on a broad scale but there is still value to be had using analytics. As it becomes more main stream the important analytics or useful information will become more apparent. I like it and hope the Bills get on board.
  7. When the Broncos played the Chargers at the StubHub Center in Southern California it sounded like there were more Bronco fans than Charger fans. I guess the NFL got mixed up when they piped in the crown noise.
  8. I can't believe anyone is surprised. They stunk in the preseason games. Nothing new.
  9. Whether you like him or not the Bills got fleeced on that trade. The Bills run defense went in the crapper after he was traded. He'll do fine in Jacksonville.
  10. That game was hard to watch, at least the 2nd half. I like Rivers. He is a competitor who leaves it all on the field, but he comes up short time after time. He started the 2nd half disaster with that interception thrown into triple coverage. The announcers said he threw nine 4th quarter interceptions last year. That confirms he struggles when the game is on the line,
  11. In the article it says the fans are willing to pay for the stadium experience. That may be but these new stadiums may price themselves out of reach for most fans. It already costs a lot of money to go to a game and that is in an average stadium. I live in Southern California and looked into going to see the Bills play the Chargers. On Stub-hub and other ticket sits the starting price was over $150 per ticket. That is for a soccer stadium being used by the NFL. How much more does the "stadium experience" cost? I chose to not go to the game. Its just as well given the outcome.
  12. This year is worse because it seemed like things were lining up. 5 - 2 start, good defense and an adequate offense to be competitive. The Jets game looked like a win as did the Chargers game. I figured they would be 7 - 3 right now worse case. After these three blowouts I think beating Indy will be a challenge. I am not sure they could beat the Browns or niners right now.
  13. No way, Cleveland is still worse. The Niners are in the mix as well. But this team is sliding into the abyss. I am always amazed how a team can trade players picked in the 1st round for late round draft picks and think that is a good idea. It must be something in the water or air at One Bills Drive that causes this thinking. Anyway I think 5 -11 is a real possibility after this Chargers debacle.
