When a rookie can come in without a true off-season and look as good as the 3 year pro why should the bills OVERPAY for a guy who cant count on staying healthy. Just a hot flash about fitz 10 in the league in TD passes 9 in the league in completion % 11 in the league in total yards and he didnt get to play on a good team(yet). I know that Fitz is not a hall of fame guy but he has proven to be above average in the league. So taking a chance on a back-up who has not been a starter or an injured twilight years starter doesn't make much sense to me. Especially when the Bills have many greater needs that could be filled with the resources. Oh yea lets be like Denver and trade BACK into the 1st round to draft Tebow. And now they will trade him away for less than a first rounder. I think some of you guys like being Bills fans just so you can complain about them.

Fitz is the guy, but no reason not to bring 1 or 2 guys that low risk to find a diamond in the ruff

pass rush was the single biggest need for the team by a long shot!!! Williams is possibly the best pas rusher in the league!!! He was signed at what his value was figured to be!!! So, since its the Bills they were stupid and over paid!!! And if the didnt Ralf is cheep and doesent want to win.

And like Bell or not he would be stupid not to try to get a good contract, blind side protection is highly valued. If I were him I would be prepared to wait till some one got hurt in preseason creating a dire need. Its also nice to have Pears and Hairston locked up. I think that Hairston with a year of experience and an off season that he didnt get last year , he will be much improved.

If they plan on using the 10th pick for a tackle no reason to sign Bell. They would have 2 young tackles cheep!!! I still wouldnt mind seeing Bell back for a like a 2 year deal at moderate money, if next year he is not needed trade him for future pick.

To say kelsay was out played the carrington to not even close. Kelsay had 5 sacks and 46 tackles while Carrington had 1 sack and 16 tackles. Its like saying Ralf is cheep!!

If we extend everyone contract now there will be no money to get anyone in free agents. They told fred that they would get him taken care of so they should try. As for the other guys wait till the middle of next year and then make the deals.

Not fair to cast judgement on Ralfs decision to bring buddy and Chan in yet. When they came in the there was not too much talent on the roster!! And I would argue that the roster is better now than it was before them. That said, in year 3 I think its fair to expect WINS...

I dont agree!! When you send 5 out for a pass the defense can sent 6 at the QB and the offense only has 5 to block. So, 1 pass rusher will be unblocked and none of the other pass rushers cant be doubled up on. so, in the end the CBs wont have to hold coverage for long. Teams that cant run the ball will still have a problem winning. The 5 wides are nothing new anyway.

He will test the market as he should. I am sure the deal the Bills are offering is not big and another team might be willing to step up for him. If I were him I would want to see what other teams are offering. I thought the Bills should have tried to make a deal with him early last season when they may have had a chance of tying him up at a good deal.

Lets face it, we all here have liked Fred Jackson for a long time but who thought he was going to do what he has the past couple of years. Spiller would be a hands down started on many other teams in the NFL.

In the terms of risk reward Merriman is a good deal. If he can get healthy he can be a total game changer. Remember preseason? As long as Buddy isnt taking chances on average guys Im happy.

If they can sign D bell on the cheep that would be best. Use the first 2 picks on a pass rusher and a wr who start week 1! Hairston was a good pick a little later and looked ok for a rookie, he should be better this year with the experience and a real off-season this year. Glaring needs over small ones.
