I have been thinking about this protest thing and actually dont think its a players right to do. When they are at a game they are working, its a decision of the employer. Protests should be done on their own time. Many things are in play in this situation, blackballing may not be the issue Many teams dont need a QB. The Pats arnt blackballing him, they have 2 better QBs Teams that dont have a good QB are choosing to go with young guys that they feel have upside. Kaep is what he is, and cant expect him it improve at this point. Some people look at this stats and say he is better than__________ , but have not studied the tape. TT had stats that were fine but took a pretty big pay cut to stay. If a team truly thought they would be in a better football place with him, he would be on a roster.

So you watched all his game film and all the other guys that were available to know who is better? You also know who they reached out to that were not interested? At some point you have to have a little faith they brought in the best guys available for the positions of need.

Slow down!!!! Mills was the same guy who was on the field last year when the were a top rushing team in the league. He was not the whole problem with the passing game either...

I would think the medical people know the "odds" on Sammys health as does other teams. If he has a good preseason and the foot is responding well get him signed at a fair price. By doing it before the season they should be able to get it done cheaper than waiting till seasons end. The question is does he want to stay in Buffalo or not, if not then it could be impossible to sign him as a FA and would need to use the tag. My guess is that if Sammy can make a deal would a good amount of guaranteed money before end of the season he would jump on it. Preseason games will decide his future imo.

Not a big Doug fan, but as a bills coach he has one of the two wining seasons over the last 17 years. For only coaching 2 years thats not too bad.

If the tank theory is based on not paying too much for some not so special receivers that my not make the team any better anyway is crazy. With the cap space that is left its best to see what happens in camp, either unexpected under achievement or injury could make that 13.5 million very important.

With the sholder problem I would think he couldnt lift weights much so when he got on the field he was not all that strong. This year no reason not to be full strength, so good improvement in production should be seen.

If they put 10-15 pounds of muscle on these guys will the still be under sized?

Actually it would be stupid to pick up the option on a guy who is not yet ready to play... So if he has a great season the tag can be used on him if a long term deal cant be hammered out. Yes, it would be 2 million more, but the 5th year option would be guaranteed for next year even if injured..... So STOP being stupid thinking you are smarter the the guys making the decisions!!!!!!!!!
