So you make a weak attempt in discrediting 4 starters... Now how can you say they are in a better place with the picks and not the starters. -
Harrison Phillips Senior Stats vs Suh
artmalibu replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not with a stop watch or a tape measure But surely can be by watching the guy play. KW is a great example of this, its obvious he has the biggest heart whenever he is on the field!!! It sure sounds like Phillips might measure up well too.... -

Since we are heavy thinkers around here the next question of consideration If 3 cuts were mad for the 1 3rd round pick besides the dead money. The 3 replacement players would have cost about 2 million in cap space. So, is it worth reducing the chances to end the playoff drought to gain a 3rd round pick AND Have 2 million less in cap roll over for 2019. The 2 mill in cap space doesent hurt when trying to sign a free agent who is a proven NFL player. -

Hey it ok you are not the first poster around here who doesnt know the facts before posting? Not sure, the bird in the hand... Are you sure a average will be yielded from a 3rd. Also you need to pick 2 more cuts to get that pick. Its not 1 for 1. -

Fact about duckass by the ratings of all nfl guards not a pro bowl guy but ranking 33 is really better than average considering how may guys were ranked. So, maybe they would have been better off the deer guy playing insead 33. Vladimir Ducasse, Buffalo Bills Pass Protection: 15/25 Run Block: 16/25 Power: 16/20 Agility: 14/20 Position Value: 7/10 Overall Grade: 68/100 People mocked the Bills when they signed Vladimir Ducasse in March, but they shouldn't have. Although he had some rough reps early on in his career, Ducasse was a solid fill-in for the Ravens down the stretch in 2016. He had another serviceable performance again this year, and while the dominant flashes aren't as prevalent as you would expect with someone his size, he has cleaned up a lot of the footwork issues that plagued his tape early on in his career. But around here there are a lot of guys who know better. -

Read above post they say Tolbert was not an option to get a pick. What guys were willing to come to terms with the Bills that were better???? Are you going to say there was someone 3 players cut for 1 pick Blindly supporting LOL look at the facts I posted. Its a real lack of logic that does not see that the Bills were smart not trying to get the stupid 3rd round pick. If the bills were out of the playoff runnings by the week 10 cut deadline maybe this would be discussion worthy. That not being the case and that the Bills did make the playoffs any talk of that they should have made 3 of these cuts is absolute ridicules. Unless you want to argue for the tank? . Also I want to hear how the Pats are better for their losses -

Here are the facts for the comp picks form https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/6/5/15734438/buffalo-bills-2018-third-round-compensatory-pick-brandon-beane-free-agency According to OverTheCap.com, Buffalo signed seven free agents in the qualifying window and lost five. In order to get that Gilmore pick, they need a new loss so they would have to rid themselves of three of those signings by the compensatory cutoff, assumed to be in Week 10 because the NFL has never shared the compensatory formula. The pros of cutting three players are clear; they would get a third round pick. Cut another player to get an additional fourth rounder. You also don’t have to pay those guys and can save money on the cap. The cons are also clear; there is upfront money you’ve already paid these recently-signed players that will go to waste and be accelerated onto the salary cap. There is also the risk of looking foolish by going back on a signing you just made. Let’s take a look at the players Buffalo would have to release to get there and power rank them in terms of likelihood. We have included the dead cap hit that would be associated with the release. THREE of these players would have needed to be cut for 1 pick also consider the dead money 1. OL Vlad Ducasse ($250,000 dead money) 2. DE Ryan Davis ($100,000 dead money) 3. WR Andre Holmes ($2.45 million dead money) 4. K Steven Hauschka ($4 million dead money) 5. FB Patrick DiMarco ($3.3 million dead money) 6. S Jordan Poyer ($5 million dead money) 7. DB Micah Hyde ($10.3 million dead money) -

Would love to know how you could come to this conclusion. with out them would the Bills have been in position to kick field goals??? You know for fact that there were other players who were as good that would have agreed to term with the bills??? Yea this guy was the best option they thought they had and started a lot of games or was this part of the tank? If I remember correct the Bills would have needed to cut 3 of the free agents to get 1 of these picks. I think that Tolbert would have been a cut the would not have hurt the team and could have been replaced by a better option. But again one cut would yield on pick. -

No argument on Tolbert the coaches saw something in him that was invisible to us. Dont know who duckass is DiMarco 2 time pro-bowl played who was rated as the best FB in the NFL who would carry a much bigger dead cap hit than cap savings. Davis who was much needed in rotation at the end of the season when Shaq went down. He also finished the season with 1 less sack than the team leader. Maybe tanking for a 3rd round pick in more important than ending the playoff drought??? -

Specifically with the Pats tell us how the Pats will be better with the 3rd and 6th round picks they gained when they lost: Nate Solder- franchise left tackle Danny Amendola - sure handed WR with 660 yards of receptions and was a better than average punt returner. Some evaluators had him at the 8th most valuable at punt returns Malcom Butler- starting CB who made the play to win a SB, helped shut down the falcons to win another and was not on the field that may have cost them another SB win. Dion Lewis- produced over 1,100 yards And dont forget to tell us what the Bills should have done to get these picks -

Share your thinking... What bills players should the Bills cut or let walk and what free agents did they signed that should not have to get theses picks? Also tell us how the Pats and Eagles will be better with the players they lost with the picks they gained. -

Compensatory picks are a reward for losers.... To get these picks a team would need to let players go who can help the team win and not sign players who can help the team win -

I dont think Fitz should be on the list. We havent had a QB as good as him since. With him the playoff drought would have ended sooner!!! -

The stat keepers at Fox dont agree. The % caught has more to do with the quality of the pass not drops. Clay had 2 1/2 times more drops by the same stat keepers. -

Please support your claim!!! Many people say that but can not back it up with facts. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/buffalo-bills-team-stats?season=2017&week=0&category=RECEIVING Clay lead the team in Drops does he have bad hands?? There stats have Zay with 2 Drops!!! -

I just dont get how so many hate on him if they actually watched the games. He had **** for opportunities and yet no one can show any video evidence that he has a drop issue. But, will all bring up the pass at the end of the panthers game. -

I agree with him.. many want to talk about accuracy problems but have not seen the video evidence. This guy showed just the opposite. The Zay haters will disappear once the season gets rolling too....... -
Look in the drops stat and it is 9.5%. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/zay-jones/ I would love to see the video of the 7 drops. If it would be a highlight reel catch situation I wouldnt call it a drop. With all the hate on this guy Im surprised that no one has made a Zay drops video other than the dropping of his pants..
-
According to your source Zays drop rate was 9.5% https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/zay-jones/ I watched all the games and must be blind because I cant remember seeing him drop 7 balls that I figured were catchable. I surly wouldnt count the pass at the end of the Panthers game a drop tho.

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
artmalibu replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What’s wrong with him having to earn the start. I don’t get the idea of starting a guy just because he was a high draft pick. The only conversation I want to hear is open competition.
