This is actually a major issue. We won’t have any DE’s on the roster and we don’t have any money with a ton of holes at other position groups that needs to be addressed through the draft.

Lots of Groot talk. But the amount of draft and cap capital spent on the DL is insane. The bill is now due. AJE, Harrison Philips, Basham, Rousseau, Oliver. All picked in the top 100. I was as psyched as anybody for the Von signing. But that also meant we were paying top 5 money for another player who was supposed to get after the QB after spend 6 top 100 picks on them with no results.

I meant argument as in “are you there” being a silly response. It’s a fine topic. Leadership is so much more than what happens in the 3 hours between whistles. I’ve lost a lot of respect for a guy who runs out of the building when things are at their lowest.

Nah, leaders don’t leave their team all alone when things are bad. I got flamed for mentioning it a few weeks ago, but Allen’s metrics against zone are near the bottom of the league.

Gabe gets targeted a lot on low percentage throws. He has a lower catch percentage because of it. That should have been a catch. But he also deserves some more slack than he gets.

My argument for not moving on from McBeane is the Sabres. It’s taken them 12 years to put this team together and they still might miss the playoffs. I am OK with moving on from the coordinators though.

And it’s stunted growth just about everywhere else.

I think Josh and Dorsey have some deficiencies that make each other worse. I think they both love low percentage throws and Josh being good at them means they take a lot of shots at them. On top of that I think Josh probably needs to be coached hard. Otherwise we have a season like this with a lot of 3rd and longs and an offense that just feels like a lot of work. Josh misses Daboll. It isn’t a regression, him and Dorsey are just cowboys out there. I think the weapons are “OK”. They could be worse. I think Shakir is going to be a big player next year.

The big deal is him booking it out of the building 3 minutes later.

Not to say I’ve told you so. But I’ve been pounding this table for a year or two. Plus paying Von. We’ve had the most expensive defense for some time as well. But here we are with 23 UFA’s, no cap space, and a million holes. And it doesn’t stand alone. The RB position is similar. But then walk into the season with Kumerow but cute with Hodgins. Todays result was compounding roster decisions.

Bad look on TV. But we’ve become used to it (unfortunately). But I take major issues with him booking it out of the stadium post game.

I am tempted to go down this road with you. But also, look at the Sabres. That’s what ownership is capable of. A total gong show for a decade.

Diggs is always chirping. He gets 100 targets per game. A big part of what stalls this offense is constantly throwing the ball to the same 2-3 guys and not forcing defenses to respect every pass catcher. I like Diggs, but he’s gotta clean that stuff up.

What a weird interaction between Burrow and Allen… Allen had a bit to say. Burrow has zero reaction and nothing to say. But immediately walks away?

This isn’t the best roster in the NFL. It is deficient at a number of position groups. We’ve over drafted without production at a number of positions. We are tight against the cap. There are some nice pieces and a QB.

It’s almost like the Bills haven’t played quality football in 2 months….

I would have declined the penalty.

I don’t mind providing color to Allen’s interception. But you can’t just adjust/explain Allen’s and go “see he should only have 8” then not adjust his peers by the same standards.

I am curious when they release the tickets

Not a doctor. But the best I can come up with is that Philips needs surgery. But surgery would end his season, so he tried to limp through hoping he wouldn't get worse. But then he got worse...
