On a podcast a week or two ago with Kyle Allen, Josh and Jordan Palmer, Kyle told a story about a party after this years training camp where Josh had some pops and was telling everybody how he was the best athlete on the planet….after losing two games of pickle ball to Matt Barkleys wife. -

Remember when he got drunk and told the team he was the best athlete on the planet. -
Post break up. Post all the Diggs drama. Josh has said on a couple of occasion that he’s never been more focused and locked in. That he’s all ball.
-
I don’t think he’s shot. But he’s erratic and plus far too loose at times. Even his “short game” in the second half felt like nothing but throws behind the line of scrimmage.
-
That 3rd INT was the worst INT since Peterman. That’s not coaching. This was Josh’s first “never been so locked in” and “I’m all ball game”
-
Josh doesn’t need the be run out of town. He isn’t terrible. He’s great. He also deserves 90% of the criticism in this thread for this game. People can vent without wanting to trade their QB.
-
It’s almost plays like he’s a guy who “watches a lot of film. But doesn’t go crazy because teams play the Bills differently and like to trust his eyes and play loose” (paraphrasing) Parts of his game remind me of a guy who gets drunk and tells his teammates he’s the best athlete on the planet.
-
Tonight felt a lot like Ryan Fitzpatrick but backwards. But instead of making decisions he wasn’t physically capable of completing; he made terrible decisions that never should have left his hand.
-
4 and lucky it wasn’t 5 turnovers with an early whistle. The last interception when Kincade was wide open underneath well past the sticks was one of the worst plays/decisions we’ve seen by a Bills QB in a long time.
-
Taking that INT out of the end zone is looking worse and worse.
-
Yeah, that’s why I used the term football player. Allen is the exception to all the rules. When Josh first came into the league I used to say “he’s the most exciting QB in the league”. Very different from being a good one, which he certainly is now.
-
Yeah, there’s certainly a physicality to his game that’s Newton and Allen-esque. He delivered some balls on the run with crazy velocity that made me audibly go “wow”.
-
Nit a huge college football guy. I certainly understand the Allen comp. I don’t know if he’ll make it as a QB, but he’s a big, strong, tough athletic kid who throws with a lot of velocity taking on defenders head on.
-
Unfortunate timing for Richardson, but he looks like a football player.
-
Tua took a pretty hard knee to the head on that fumble. What are the chances he has another concussion 3 minutes into the season.
-
I’m not impressed by the Browns. But Burrow and Co look bad.
-
Bills win if they don't turn the ball over and keep the chains moving. I don't think they'll get out of this one with the big chunk plays and stall we became accustomed to last year. Jets win if the Bills can't get off the field and Cook/Hall tear us up.

Joe Burrow huge extension 5 years $275 million now highest paid QB

Yeah, I’ve actually been a bit more apt to sit back the last few years and not turn into NO. Not to derail but some of the draft misses are also combined with big FA spend to fill the gaps. Not on any single player. Just a lot of them. So next year this Bills are -$33M with only 2 DE under contract. We’ll be taking one if not 2 high in the draft on the heels of taking 3 DE high in the draft and nothing to show for it. -
What will your over reaction to Monday's Jets - Bills game be?
Mango replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you’re not living life at both ends of the spectrum you’re not living! But in all seriousness my default is first to fix and you can’t fix without an honest inventory. Starting 0-1 to (a much improved) mediocre team is the honest inventory. But beating a much improved mediocre team with Aaron Rodgers is also good. Plus add on that as somebody in their late 30’s, the Bills have more bad credit than good credit, here we are. I’m basically bipolar. -
Not just that, they’re going to pay NJ taxes on their game checks.

Officials allowed the Chiefs to cheat the entire game
Mango replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally agree. If they want to give some advantage back to the OL then do it. The issue is that at some point on a 4th and goal, or 3rd and long with the game on the line, an official is going to throw a flag for some OL who has been allowed to move early either all night or all season. The tape will show that it is clearly Offside by the rule. And everybody will go "well, it was technically Offside". But in the context of a game/season the player was very consistent. -
NEED HELP: Heckling on field and in the tunnel for the Jets game
Mango replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I could get a shout out on McAfee Tuesday that would be awesome! -
My better half just got tickets for the @Jets game Monday. We thought they were the 50 Club. Turns out they are in the EY Coaches Club. This means we are sitting behind the Jets bench and we are in the tunnel for the Jets to take the field. I need some ideas for heckling outside of the “you suck!”. If I could get a laugh out of Rodgers, that would be huge. Nothing disrespectful enough to make him want to try harder either. https://www.newyorkjets.com/tickets/clubs/coaches-club

Interesting Buffalo News article on Dawkins

The NFL and football is its own crazy animal. It is so "twitchy" and requires so much strength. I think more than a lot of sports the spectrum of work v natural ability sku's to natural ability. There is a lot of downtime, and given the physical nature and impact of the sport, the body requires a lot of downtime just to recover. You just can't always put in the hours some more aerobic, or lesser impact sports do. Somebody who who swims, or runs, or plays handball probably puts in more physical fitness hours per year. But they also don't get hit by a Prius once a week for 17 weeks. I posit that means football is a bit more open to "lazier" athletes. They can have better careers just because so much more rest is built in and their natural ability can carry them through. But that means every once in a while you get a guy like Brady or Jerry Rice who do do it all, and they take over the sport entirely. Where as swimming, or water polo, or rowing are hoping for a physiological monster like Michael Phelps to show up. Thank you. I enjoy our back and forth between kicking my dog and beating my partner.
