  1. I think it is possible that they did stop walking on egg shells around Diggs. Diggs not showing up was the the result. Now they have to course correct because when you don't handle Diggs with kid gloves this is the result. Just my 2 cents.
  2. I too have posted happy pictures in toxic relationships. Firebaugh is a town of 8,000 people. Josh knew Brittany because their families are very good friends. Josh has changed the dynamics of his parents relationships with their friends. Friends they had before Josh and Brittany got together.
  3. I wonder if Poyer is triggered at the moment? I had an ex that met somebody while we were together. Left me for him out of the blue. It sucked. But ultimately I was living at the Olympic Training Center, she was dating me, while I was in a committed relationship with my sport. Over time I get why she left. I was a bad partner. People aren't always the best versions of themselves. But my GF slept with Antonio Brown? Please....you aren't a good person who navigated a situation poorly. You are flat out a bad person. Life is complicated. Sleeping with Antonio Brown isn't. Ha!
  4. This is maybe one of the only scenarios I see where I can excuse Diggs. That would suuuuck.
  5. It is pretty much accepted that Josh cheated on Brittany, there was a huge scene, the police were called. I didn't know that was even debatable at this point. The pregnancy thing seems to have some debate. Although, in the grand scheme of things I am not sure it matters. Ultimately Josh did his family and ex very very dirty, pregnancy or not. The Diggs ex-GF thing is brand new to me. I don't know what to think about it yet.
  6. You can't storm out of the office when things don't go the way you want. That is what happened vs CIN and this is a continuation of that. So he did quit on his team, he ran out of the stadium like a petulant child. Was convinced to briefly come back, and never returned again, only to troll the fan base and the franchise for the last 5 months. Sure he isn't Aaron Hernandez, but he has also proven to be a bad teammate here. It takes a certain amount of humility to right those kind of wrongs, and Diggs is hell bent on proving he is "alpha" rather than just being alpha. It will ultimately be his demise. Now...if Josh slept with his girl....I have a much different take. If my best friend did that I might burn it all down too.
  7. Let me be more specific, restructuring Diggs didn't make him immovable this year. Although it creates some additional pain. It increases the burden for the following years dead cap. The difference in trading Diggs today changed from $11.8M to $13.2M. Certainly not an insurmountable increase. Next years dead cap with a trade today increases from $25 to $31M. We freed up $6M with the restructure, but it doesn't cost us $6M more this season to move on. That comes next season.
  8. I agree with this, but not Diggs specifically. I still feel some exhaustion from last year. The whole thing just hits different still. I have been leaning into hockey quite a bit more than usual. Don't get me wrong, I am still here, and posting, and keeping track of everything. But the whole thing carries a lot less weight with me than it did before.
  9. Being correct doesn't give you carte blanche to be a wiener. I keep reading, "well he is right" as if that is an excuse. It really isn't.
  10. It didn't work. If the Sabres won in 99 they would have been maybe the worst overall team to ever with the Stanley Cup. Without Hasek the team would be flat out bad. Bottom 5 in goal differential. I don't give Nolan much credit for riding Haseks coat tails. That stretch from Dom was probably the greatest individual performance the league has ever seen.
  11. Right, I know that. But if we are going to operate in a pretend world where we free up $12-25M for Hopkins, why not live in pretend world where we get a similar talent and maybe get some draft picks back as well. The 2023 number is manageable. In fact a swap for Diggs/Morse for Evans gets us close to breaking even. It is the 2024 number that is difficult to navigate. I do think the Bills likely move on in 2024. And to a larger extent, we have been kicking the salary cap can down the road for some time and the Bill is about to come due. We have 30 UFA's next season and are estimated to be $40M over the cap. That situation is almost as much of a factor in moving on from Diggs as Diggs contract is itself. We don't have much freedom to absorb much. For reference 2023 Trade: $13M Dead Cap/2024 $31M Dead Cap 2024 Trade Post June 1: $8.8M/$22M Moving on from Diggs will require us to move on via trade/cut/letting walk in FA a number of other players unfortunately. Tre White is likely near the top of the list of sacrifices (or extension?) to balance the books for Stef. He can save us $10M in 2024.
  12. Von also spoke to the media yesterday. I would be curious to hear Poyers take on the situation. He has been all in on Buffalo since day one, and committed to turning this thing around here. I think he likely also signed for under market value for his final deal. Don't be concerned, just prepare. This will 100% be an issue during the season. We were having talks about Diggs on the sideline on a handful of occasions before the CIN game. I can't imagine that it will suddenly put to bed for the next 6 months.
  13. At this point I’d rather trade for Evans and some draft capital for Diggs.
  14. Cap = Lie. Diggs is letting people lie without going out and correcting them. If the lying helps the big dog sleep, the big dog can keep telling lies. The second is cryptic. He always posts like that. I think, (THINK) he’s saying he has kept his mouth shut on some things, and is going to start talking. Ion play all them sounds, I think means he’s going to turn his phone on and start dialing/texting/talking?
  15. It will be addition by subtraction. The tough part will be it will cost us some of our own FA’s just due to eating the Diggs contract. We have 29 or 30 FA’s next season. Some notables in terms of snap count are Hyde. Jones, Davis, AJE, Settle, and Lawson. I’m trying to mess around with Spotrac to make anything work. The tough part of moving on now is the 2024 dead cap number of $31M. You can get through this years $13M by also begging Morse and Settle off the roster. But there’s no relief for 2024.
  16. That’s fair. I think Diggs is likely gone next year post June 1 and we try and patch this thing up. It feels all but guaranteed that Diggs won’t see this contract out in Buffalo.
  17. No. Log into your IG. Check your followers. All of them have the option to “remove” along the right side.
  18. He just removed them from his followers. There’s no way to tell if he blocked them or just removed them. There’s a difference.
  19. Diggs has proven he’s willing to watch the place burn if things happen that he doesn’t like. The scale from McBeane/Dorsey is bad to worse. None are a good option. Better is still very bad based on what Diggs is willing to do.
  20. I believe the only team Diggs follows is the Cowboys. As far as IG goes you can just remove followers. You don’t have to block them.
  21. The restructure didn’t affect this years number. It affects the dead cap going forward. I checked earlier not restructuring would have saved something like $6-8M next year.
  22. I actually thought it did. The full take was that Josh made a pattern of changing his behavior not to upset Diggs. I thought Josh’s presser was full on walking on egg shells and making sure Stef was happy. Which is where the Diggs/Allen diva rumor started.
