I thought Pacheco got his bell rung a little 2 plays ago. Then a little wobbly the next play. Anybody gonna check on this guy?

The gap between the haves and have nots is wider than I can remember. There is a path there for anybody who steps up to take it.

I like this version of the simulation where the Jets stink but they win games against the best teams. They could be the best 5-12 team ever!

Chandler Jones? Kick the tires at the trade deadline?
Mango replied to TampaBillsJunkie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure, I’ll take Chandler Jones and their next 2 first round picks. That’s it, that’s the trade. -
I think the thought is that there is a spot in the secondary opening up with Rapp moving up a spot. I personally think that when it comes to responsibilities, if Hamlin is called up he might be the back up SS on paper, but ultimately won't see the 20% snap count Rapp has seen this year. I think the back up responsibilities will get split situationally between Benford and Lewis.

You know they say "every olympic event should have a normal person competing too for perspective"...well, I am pretty sure this is what I would look like trying to tackle NFL running backs. That didn't even occur to me. But can we not just scratch Elam twice? Does his first round draft value not have any value?
-
Let me start by saying I want Elam to be playing, not just this week but week in and week out. Or at least dressing. I am not questioning McD on keeping him a healthy scratch, it is just what I would like to see out of our first round pick. That said, if Elam has this super secret value add when in comes to Tyreek he would likely be dressing on other Sunday's too because that should be a valuable skill set against other less explosive players too. I didn't realize it until I posted a few minutes ago about cover 3. But I realized we have a ton of utility in our back 7, especially at DB. Tre, Jackson, and Benford have some ability to drop back. Milano and Bernard have great coverage ability as a LB tandem. So in that scenario I don't know if Elam's healthy scratches are necessarily a condemnation on his skill set. Rather everybody else has allows for a lot of versatility.

He also was so much better than Johnson at FS. He is a backup level player. You would like to have a better back up (Rapp) but you could also do worse. He is just a guy.
-
McD likes his cover 3. The Patriots also had some success with it a few weeks ago vs. Miami. I think we are like always sort of a tweener with Benford having some mixed responsibilities. I believe it was reported this year he was spending more time than normal practicing at safety. Cover 3 for McD isn't rare. We have a lot of guys who fit a lot of roles in the back 7.
-
I think they same, but I was thinking Benford may fill in in spot duty in any cover 3 situations.

I have been known to drink straight hot sauce. This is particularly dangerous for me.

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)
Mango replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Elam is the press man corner everybody says he might be and this is truly just a scheme issue, I think he still needs to be dressing weekly. I think this either has to be a scheme issue and it is on the coaches to get him on the field putting him in a position to succeed, or he isn't an NFL caliber player. I am not on the "fire McBeane" train, but I don't know if I see a middle ground where both truth's exist. He had moments last year, so it is kind of crazy to me he isn't even active on game days. if I recall he graded out fairly average on PFF. Which isn't the worst place to be for a rookie. On the flip side I have rallied against AJE sucking but he is having a year so far. So who know. -
My friends team has Richardson, Chubb, Metcalf, Rodgers, Dobbins, Waddle, and I think there were a couple of others. They changed their team name to the Injured Reserves. Their season is shot.
-
I know they’re different, but if we’re going to allow the QB shove I don’t see an issue with a defender hurdling a guy with his shoulders below his waist.
-
I think part of it is on the Bills offense to get 7's early in the game, and leave with points as often as possible. One or two defensives stops with 2 big time eating 7 point drives will give the defense some options to get creative and put Tua in a position to push the ball down field/hold the ball a little bit longer. This one will take a complete effort from both sides of the ball. I am excited for this match up to be a good football game as I have any in recent memory.

This is to Miami as last years KC match up was to Buffalo. I’ll take an L this week if it means we mirror KC in 2022.

We got the wrong Josh!

Hypothetically… Brian Daboll gets the boot….
Mango replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am sorry, people want to bring in this guy who traded a Sabres jersey for a Rangers vest back into our organization? I don't think so. Have some self respect my guy. We have a QB put hot sauce and blue cheese in his Pepsi, and some "fans" want to pair him with a guy who turned his back on his hometown hockey team. Who is the OC for Canisius HS. Go get that guy. -

I am rooting for Dorsey to succeed. I think he is growing. To me Daboll and Dorsey are two sides of the same coin. Right now I will take the guy who is still flexible and growing. That said, if the Bills are in the market for a new OC I would keep an eye on the McVay situation in LA over the next season or two. Sure they won a SB. Yes they mortgaged their future to do it. But I think fans are growing sour. -
Is this the tide pod challenge of NFL drink sponsorships? I am kind of afraid that this could maybe be delicious?

Stop what? Saying your starting QB plays like poop sometimes because he is "bored" or "not taking a team seriously" is an insane idea to get behind and would be terrible for the team. Nobody should be rallying behind that or even suggesting it. I don't think that is the case.
-
This would infuriate me to no end. That’s just an insane thought to be comfortable with. A guy cannot be considered top 3 if he plays games like shirt because he “gets bored” or “doesn’t take teams seriously”. This team has major problems if this is the case. Might want to step back from that take. At the risk of detailing this thread our fans are saying “maybe Allen doesn’t take teams seriously” and I just heard a Kelce interview the other day where he talks about inviting Pat on an off day to a volleyball game for his cousin (?) and Mahomes only showed up for a few minutes and spent the rest of the game in the parking lot with a notepad full of notes watching film.

The Bills have struggled with the Dolphins as of late. I know the heat game.... In the Bills 3 match ups vs. the McDaniel lead Dolphins we are ahead in point differential at +3. Which is remarkably close considering in the heat game Tua shouldn't have been on the field and one game was vs Skylar Thompson. McDaniel has given us fits. I think this one will be a lot of fun, but some fans seem to be leaning on the heat game and ignoring the rest. I think the defense will keep us in this one, it will be up to the offense to sign, seal, and deliver the goods. If we can play like he did vs the Raiders this one will be 21-35. If we get the Washington offensive performance it will be 24-27 in either direction. But if we get @NYJ output....woof.
