  1. Me this offseason: - The OL sucks - WTF are we gonna do at MLB - Josh needs to be better. Me today: 🍆
  2. I still can’t get over that no holding call on the Chiefs LT. Their OL has been able to do whatever the hell they want this year. It’s bonkers. I’ve never seen anything like it.
  3. I find fireman Ed so effing annoying.
  4. I saw something while scrolling that Taylor Swift flew with the team? I’ve never heard of that before. Wives, GF’s etc.
  5. The Bengals stink. Burrow is toast. They need to sit him. People don’t care about whinny receivers on bad teams. People like to talk about the ups and downs of either heart warming stories or winners. The Bengals are neither. Well only hear about their current downward trend but likely not Chase. This will come down to the staff and Burrow. Very different situations
  6. Push up play. My GF and I both thought the push up was to cover up that his cage was rattled. “Don’t come check on me, I’m cool, see”…. The way Koney fell was a little scary a few plays later.
  7. I watch a lot of football. For whatever reason a lot of guys shaking their heads and weird contact. I don’t know what it is but tonight feels a little dangerous.
  8. I thought Pacheco got his bell rung a little 2 plays ago. Then a little wobbly the next play. Anybody gonna check on this guy?
  9. The gap between the haves and have nots is wider than I can remember. There is a path there for anybody who steps up to take it.
  10. I like this version of the simulation where the Jets stink but they win games against the best teams. They could be the best 5-12 team ever!
  11. Sure, I’ll take Chandler Jones and their next 2 first round picks. That’s it, that’s the trade.
  12. I think the thought is that there is a spot in the secondary opening up with Rapp moving up a spot. I personally think that when it comes to responsibilities, if Hamlin is called up he might be the back up SS on paper, but ultimately won't see the 20% snap count Rapp has seen this year. I think the back up responsibilities will get split situationally between Benford and Lewis.
  13. You know they say "every olympic event should have a normal person competing too for perspective"...well, I am pretty sure this is what I would look like trying to tackle NFL running backs. That didn't even occur to me. But can we not just scratch Elam twice? Does his first round draft value not have any value?
  14. Let me start by saying I want Elam to be playing, not just this week but week in and week out. Or at least dressing. I am not questioning McD on keeping him a healthy scratch, it is just what I would like to see out of our first round pick. That said, if Elam has this super secret value add when in comes to Tyreek he would likely be dressing on other Sunday's too because that should be a valuable skill set against other less explosive players too. I didn't realize it until I posted a few minutes ago about cover 3. But I realized we have a ton of utility in our back 7, especially at DB. Tre, Jackson, and Benford have some ability to drop back. Milano and Bernard have great coverage ability as a LB tandem. So in that scenario I don't know if Elam's healthy scratches are necessarily a condemnation on his skill set. Rather everybody else has allows for a lot of versatility.
  15. He also was so much better than Johnson at FS. He is a backup level player. You would like to have a better back up (Rapp) but you could also do worse. He is just a guy.
  16. McD likes his cover 3. The Patriots also had some success with it a few weeks ago vs. Miami. I think we are like always sort of a tweener with Benford having some mixed responsibilities. I believe it was reported this year he was spending more time than normal practicing at safety. Cover 3 for McD isn't rare. We have a lot of guys who fit a lot of roles in the back 7.
  17. I think they same, but I was thinking Benford may fill in in spot duty in any cover 3 situations.
  18. I have been known to drink straight hot sauce. This is particularly dangerous for me.
  19. If Elam is the press man corner everybody says he might be and this is truly just a scheme issue, I think he still needs to be dressing weekly. I think this either has to be a scheme issue and it is on the coaches to get him on the field putting him in a position to succeed, or he isn't an NFL caliber player. I am not on the "fire McBeane" train, but I don't know if I see a middle ground where both truth's exist. He had moments last year, so it is kind of crazy to me he isn't even active on game days. if I recall he graded out fairly average on PFF. Which isn't the worst place to be for a rookie. On the flip side I have rallied against AJE sucking but he is having a year so far. So who know.
  20. My friends team has Richardson, Chubb, Metcalf, Rodgers, Dobbins, Waddle, and I think there were a couple of others. They changed their team name to the Injured Reserves. Their season is shot.
  21. I know they’re different, but if we’re going to allow the QB shove I don’t see an issue with a defender hurdling a guy with his shoulders below his waist.
  22. I think part of it is on the Bills offense to get 7's early in the game, and leave with points as often as possible. One or two defensives stops with 2 big time eating 7 point drives will give the defense some options to get creative and put Tua in a position to push the ball down field/hold the ball a little bit longer. This one will take a complete effort from both sides of the ball. I am excited for this match up to be a good football game as I have any in recent memory.
  23. This is to Miami as last years KC match up was to Buffalo. I’ll take an L this week if it means we mirror KC in 2022.
  24. I wanted to select bad poll, but the description was listed as "offense is perfect". So I left my reason.
