  1. I think coaches should have unlimited challenges as long as they win it. Keep it at 2 challenge loses that is fine. But if the coaches throw 6 flags that all get overturned that is on the refs/the league.
  2. I want there to be a play clock buzzer like a shot clock in basketball. It is such a weird antiquated process at the moment.
  3. Just to clarify, I don't think Josh is lazy, I think that he could be better with some of his prep. I think there is a difference even if nuanced. Jamarcus Russel and Johnny Menzel were lazy and unfocused. That is certainly not Josh Allen.
  4. Maybe it was the late night Hayburners yesterday, but I am a bit taken aback by how negative the board was last night. I am critical of a lot, and participate in a ton of negative threads/conversations, but the team was a lot better at a good chunk of the last few weeks criticisms. Definitely some moments I would like back, especially the goal line play calls. But we can win a few games with the way we played last night. Last night was the kind of game/team that if they can get hot, they can go on a run in January.
  5. Maybe it was all the late night, weekday Hayburners last night, but I am a bit shocked at how negative the board is today. And I am a guy who participates in a lot of negative threads. Some things I would like back, particularly the goal line play calls. But a lot of my complaints the last few weeks were improved on last night.
  6. The board is full of a lot of repetitive threads these days. The mods have to be overwhelmed. This is just a very long winded thought that could be in like 5-6 different threads that already exist.
  7. One thing flying under the radar are Diggs snaps. He is normally in on about 85% and not crazy for him to get down under 80%. 99% is a big jump.
  8. A play or two I would like back but a handful of punts inside the 10 and a couple inside the 5 isn’t a full pit “disappointing night”.
  9. Whaaaaat? Criticism is fine, but you gotta try and be objective. I’ve Harper on a lot of the same issues for year about Josh. Late to throw, delivers the ball behind the receiver, difficulty getting the ball out of his hands, focusing in on Diggs. I’ve been super consistent on these with Josh for a bit. But I’m not blind. This quick release and diversification of pass catchers is what I’ve been begging for. Josh even mentioned the same in the Amazon post game. This sort of game should make it easier on both Josh and Diggs. No need to sharpen any pitch forks or light your torches for this one.
  10. So I think there’s a big difference between criticizing a moment or two vs a concept or thread of mistakes for a game. I’ve hammered on some players, coaches, and even the FO this week. Tonight felt like there were a number of adjustments even if they weren’t perfect. Allen was much much better and we spread the ball out. The defense addressed a number of weak spots. Dorsey’s play calling was mostly very good. I will get wrapped around the axle in the minutia as the week goes on. But this game doesn’t get me throwing tomatoes within a few minutes of its ending. They could have done some things better, but tonight they were a pretty good team.
  11. A lot of noise from everybody with a keyboard this week. A lot of good this week. A lot. Credit to Josh, Dorsey, McD, the Defense, and Special Teams. All three phases were lights out My biggest knock is I lost an 11 leg parlay tonight because I took Cook on 2+ receptions. He had 1. Dorsey is a bum.
  12. I think if a pass rusher is going to be called elite after a single season they likely need 14-ish+ sacks. To be considered elite after a number of seasons, I think a player needs to link a few -10 12-ish sack seasons together.
  13. Maybe if he had a few years left on his contract? Or maybe we package a 2nd and Elam for Henry and other players? I think there are a lot of posters on this board who have better NFL GM sense than Schopp and the Bulldog. Of those posters, I probably only agree with half of them. They sound about as knowledgeable about the Bills as Janet Snyder and Nicholas Picholas. Those two dopes are basically bloated morning, drive time, yuck-yuck guys, but instead of talking about Taylor Swift, they talk about Josh Allen. Either Shredd or Reagan alone have a better sports IQ that those two wieners combined.
  14. I think they are panicking because of the offensive production even though the defense is gutted. A 2nd or 3rd for a RB who will want big money to extend seems crazy. This feels very Eagles "Dream Team"-esque. With $33M over the cap next season, stuff like this basically preps us to blow the whole org up and replace everybody.
  15. A few things you said here that need to be unpacked. "Greg is starting to get to that double digit realm"...no he isn't. He has 3 sacks on the year, on pace for 7. Loose use of the term "approaching". If the Bills made it to the SB, Rousseau would be on pace for 9 sacks. Still not 10. "As a rotational player"...Most people would not consider a first round pick in his third year being "rotational" an upside. "As a rotational player" (continued)....This is also just wrong, he is listed as a starter on the Bills depth chart, and is second among our DE in snap count. 3 sacks for your starting DE isn't great. I think Rousseau is a nice player. I don't think he is a stud. He could certainly turn out to be. I like him, but don't love him.
  16. Here is an interesting stat, in terms of draft pick retention from 2019-2022, the Bills fall right in the middle. A lot of complicated things are involved in this metric. Unsure on it's value. https://overthecap.com/draft-retention-rates-in-2022 As somebody who thinks we build the team with too many FA's I tend to see this as a little bit of an issues. Not that Beane has been terrible, but I don't think he has been remarkable either. We just seem to keep drafting the same positions high over and over. RB in the top 100 3 times. 3 DE's in the top 100 3 times. At the end of We are likely to only have 2 of those players on the 2024 roster. Look for a 4th maybe 5th top 100 DE in the next draft.
  17. I just don't get this Bills team. Some of it is a culmination of a lot of issues. Rookie production/cap value, redrafting the same positions over and over and over, basically building a roster out of FA's, teams tend to flame out if they can't get over certain humps, etc. But there are some head scratching things. Diggs crazy Offside a few weeks ago, that is a guy that is always locked in and he had no idea WTF was going on that play vs the NYG. Elam has had some good games. It isn't like he has flat out sucked at every opportunity. I think there are a lot of things going on at OBD from the FO, to coaching, and maybe even something else in the locker room? (Famous last words. Watch this team win 49-0).
  18. These are the things I have never understood from McBeane. We never get value on our rookie contracts. Moss (3rd), injured then trade. Basham (2nd), traded no production AJE (2nd), barely anything of value until his contract year. Oliver (1st), minimal snap count until he was extended. Great value on his new contract, bad value on his rookie deal. Kincaid (1st), one game with reasonable targets/involvement Cook (2nd), is averaging like 13 touches per game Shakir (4th), plays barely any snaps and sees barely any targets Hell, here is something crazy, Zay Jones has turned himself into a reasonable NFL WR and drafted the same year as Tre White. Let these guys play, learn, and grow. They all might not work, but Jesus.
  19. We regularly do not get enough out of our young players on rookie contracts until the contract year. I am not saying Elam is a world beater, but stuff like this is bonkers. Elam has had some good games last year and I thought he was hung out to dry with no safety help, covering Ridley. Norman sucked last time he was here and he won't be any better after getting off the couch. I would rather get Elam more snaps/experience than suffer through Norman who will stink too...but also not get any better and provide no upside.
  20. I think they are emphasizing ball security and sliding. This is the result. The “no running” is a fable made up by fans. The coach speak has always been he needs to protect himself and the football. “He’s got to get down in those situations” or “Josh knows he has to take better care of the football” are all actually quotes from McD.
  21. There’s nothing fun about fun sized candy.
  22. I am in the minority here, but in general I’ve liked Dorsey this year. 2 things can be true at the same time. KD is going to be a pretty decent OC in this league and KD might not be the right OC for the Bills right now. One thing I’m a bit nervous about going forward is that Josh has had 3 injuries to his throwing arm in 3 different years. That’s a lot for a guy with only 6 NFL seasons.
  23. This situation sucks. Burrow is clearly injured and Chase is out here whining. I’ve been hard on Diggs about a few incidents, but I think this is waaay worse. He has a stud QB whose clearly not 100% and he’s kicking him while he’s down.
  24. I’ve been big in Diggs emotions and twitter but this one feels like a total nothing burger. I think he’s just wanting to move past this game.
