This is mostly because as much as we like to tout our new line it is quite average. Fitz is getting mauled a lot because he has less protection. Brady simply has more time. A better stat would be percentage of contacts to qb are flagged

would you rather win out or loss out.
Mango replied to buffalover4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what is gained in terms of team success and locker room is far greater than the difference between the 10th and 15th pick in the draft. there are generally pretty good linebackers in the mid to bottom of the first round. 8-8 would mean we are getting better and players can buy into that, not 14 years of garbage you should be ashamed of this logic. we need to see the long term, and blow the rest of the season, just like every other successful team....just like indy, and..... name another one? hows st. louis doing as what seems to be a perennial top 3 draft pick every year as of late. since the greatest show on turf, they have been cruising secretly stock-piling talent, waiting for the perfect moment to go 16-0? -
[closed]HAHAHAH! Can we just lose out now?

Elimnate Field Goals too (And Punts)
Mango replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about interceptions and fumbles in the redzone? Does the offense still get 3 points? Would it more sense to just take the ball to the one and accept 3 points and stick bad field position? Why eliminate kickers but not punters? What if you intercept a pass with a team backed up into their own redzone? Can you just take 3 points and let them go again just give them the ball back? Are you jus trolling? This doesn't make sense. -
Man missing after Bills game found dead, per WGR
Mango replied to DPR4444's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's just kind of ****ty to talk about the death of a man, less than 24 hours ago, and point the finger at him. The events of last night are sad, with no intention of escalating into what they did. To blame him this soon after his death for putting himself into that situation is no different than blaming the victim of a date rape for being at a party. -

Pretty ****ty response to what seems to be a tragedy. -
Spiller is effing rediculous
Mango replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching CJ run in the fourth was so frustrating. Literally a drive killer on multiple occasions -
Spiller stalled out in the second half. Especially the 4th quarter. He was the spiller of old. Didn't take what was given, bounced it it for serious losses on multiple occasions. He was a drive killer at points in the 4th, leaving us with 3rd and 10+ after a second and 5. It was pretty frustrating Spiller and Fitz at times heighten what I think is an over rated offensive line. Still above average, just not great

However bad the Bills are, Chan has figured out how to play the Pats. How to put up points and we are keeping it close generally. I know there have been some bad moments but it has taken colossal defensive break downs for the Pats to beat us under Gailey. Pats at home or on the road is not the walk in the park it has been for them in the past. That said he can't seem to beat the Jets

i think at times we like to think the oline is better than it is. fitz got mauled out there yesterday. he gets the ball out so quick they we miss alot of sacks. he took a beating out there yesterday. if we took more shots down the field those 10 knock downs turn into sacks. fitz played well sunday, he was not the problem. sure we should have run more, but we held with a great team, and just got out played. reasonable loss

Retractable-roof stadium proposed for outer harbor
Mango replied to buffalobillsfootball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually know a guy who works with an architecture/development company who is currently working with the Bills and Erie County. There will be no new stadium. It will stay in Orchard Park. Erie County is fine with paying for a large portion of the renovations, they are working together in getting the renovations worked out before they do anything else. -
Dude Hackman was nothing with Falco. More proof we need a real franchise QB

I think Fitz will save Chan's job this year...
Mango replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought this thread was going to be about the fact that Fitz is going to play so atrociously that no coach could be successful and chan would come out at the end of the season and say we are finding a new QB to lead this team. Sadly you said Fitz was good. I do think Fitz should stop worrying about his mechanics. He's a smart guy and a gunslinger who will always make mistakes. Let the guy play, whatever e is doing now is creating some hesitation and creating more mistakes -

2 kickers, no punter?...4 QBs? I am seeing potter miss some kick offs and there have been a few returns, nothing big but a few. I am finding this kick off specialist a little silly. pick one of them. Sooner or later BM would be gone. sad to see him go

Get out of here. Simultaneous possession goes to the offense. Pass interference is non reviewable. Stop falling inline with the taking heads who are upset "the good teams" aren't at the top. Normally the rest of the league suffers for the "good refs" making calls that screw everybody for the select elite.
-
The big media issue lately is the fact that normally the preconceived good teams get the Wins. When Seattle and Arizona are on top and GB and NE are losing it makes the talking heads upset. Regular refs get just as much shyt for throwing games, the favorites just aren't the medias choice. Hopefully we can take advantage of this.

Just a thought. He is pretty explosive with the ball on KR and PR. It might be a nice stop gap with CJ and possibly Fred out for the Pats game. Get him 5 plays or so a game where he sits on a couple of screens and easy short slants or out routes. See if this guy can make a few guys miss. He is a physiological machine, great speed and acceleration. Not to mention we have yet to do it. could create some mismatches elsewhere against the Hoodie. We need something extra offensively for the Pats. Flame away

I think chan is trying to avoid a qb controversy. When TJ dresses look for him to okay. Fitz has been poor. He's protecting him.

Tony Romo is way too high. Ryan Schaub and Stafford are all better

Hit was boarder line. Looks like Tate is leading with his helmet. Lee gets hit pretty good with his helmet right in the rib cage, but he has to be more aware than that. Tate is more or less fined I think for celebrating on top of an injured player on the field. It is a close call between legal and illegal. The lack of respect for the guy on the ground pushes the league to heir on the side of illegal I think. Minus the celebration and I don't think we hear much about this

Jim Kelly's magical mystical ownership group
Mango replied to Shoutbox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a thought after seeing that Rochester DnC article about the Bills moving. Ralph says the team will not move as long as he owns it. Could Ralph be saving us from the league plan to move the team. Ralph could sell now but the team could then move within his lifetime -
