Spiller primarily runs behind Urbik and Mcintyre. In theory you could move Urbik to lg and start Reinhardt at rg, and get similar production. Any decrease in OL play this year will be mostly due to scheming and the screen game chan used. Getting spiller in space is why he was so good.

If the Bills let Levitre walk, and he signs 8 mil per year somewhere else, would we be happy if we where able to sign Vasquez and Laron Landry both around 5-6mil per year. Essentially we'd be trading Levitre for a comparable Gaurd and starting SS. What about if we sign Landry and DeVito and no Vasquez? I think I would make the first move all day. Urbik is our best blocker on paper anyways. Just to note I would like to keep Levitre at a reasonable 7.5 per cieling.

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Mango replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what are the panthers doing with claussen. id rather kick the tires on him than to waste a 2nd on a 4th round talent. -
most people outside of buffalo are saying that Nassib is a 3rd round pick at best. I have heard career backup, and never a starter from some NFL scouts. Only Buffalo takes him a round or two early and throws him behind enter day one

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse

PLEASE NO!!!!. this would set the franchise back further than Losman. This kid is barely a pro QB. He will be lucky to be a career back up. Id rather sign a FA or go with Fitz and wait for a kid with actual upside -
It's best statistic is that it is 15th in qb sacks. Everything else is bottom 10
-
You do realize that our OL was average on paper. Fitz was the 15 most sacked QB, and put line allowed for the 10th most hits. Fitz is also 39th in yards per attempt. So again, what is so great about an oline that allows their QB to get sacked an above average amount, become one of the most hit QB's in the league, and have to protect a QB that has one of the shortest yards per attempt in the league. I used the stats on NFL.com. I'm on my phone now can't link it. Our elite OL is A fallacy promoted only locally.

on Dan Patrick this morning A. Smith talk, G. Smith talk
Mango replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jesus, that's too high. He is a game manager, everything we dreamed Trent could be. His best season he averaged less than 200 yards per game. The guy will bounce around for a bit, then backup somewhere. He is the benefactor of a great D. The only thing he is required to do is not turn the ball over and convert 3 and 6 through the air. Most other yardage can be taken care of by Gore and the D can put up points I am not a huge fan of this QB class but I would rather roll the dice with Barkley or Geno then trade 2 2nd's for A.Smith -
I was just wondering the other day what happened to Garrard. He had that season where he threw something 4 INt's all year with the Jags, then fell off the face of the earth.

this could actually end the niners trade with the jets if they sign him, not that there aren't other bidders for revis -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Mango replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell be bottom of the second round, at best. He will be there at 41 easy. From all the talk I keep hearing, not from Bills fans, this kid is a career back up at best. There have been a few scouts on NFL Radio, Pollian, and Kerwin a former GM, none are impressed with the kid and view him as a 3-4th round talent. If the Bills reach for a QB in the 2nd they could do much better. than Nassib Not a bad idea getting back into the bottom of the first. It all depends on Barkley though. Trading into the first for anybody else doesn't really make sense. Getting SF 34 would be nice, not sure what it would cost though. Depends who is there. I think if the normal run on QB's doesn't happen look for 32-40 to go like wild fire for teams looking for a QB. If we are gonna reach for a QB in the 2nd, go Bray or Manuel. Not a guy who by all accounts isn't going to be a good pro without a ton of work -
How Bad Would It Be For The Bills To Sign Matt Moore,
Mango replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point a bit of wasted money. We would be dedicating a ton of money to 3 back up qbs. Then lets say we draft one in the first. 4 Qb's all making 2.5 mil per year or more. Doesn't make sense to -
Bucky Gleason's article on Nix...Do you agree?
Mango replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are scrapping by to fill holes because of how poorly this team was assembled 3 years ago. When was the last time we even franchised a guy or reigned one of our better players without letting them walk after their first contract. For this alone I am glad he is here, and changing that could be devastating. Most list the Jets the past few years as what can be done quickly to fill holes. Tannenbaum is out of a job, Sexy Rexy is holding on by a thread in NJ. They are even considering trading the best defensive player in the league. Their Salary Cap is a mess. Meanwhile we Franchise one of our best player, hopefully sign our best OL, grab Mario, and have enough cash to make a splash in FA. -

Bills would be better off with Lynch and Spiller http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/1/22/3892690/chan-gailey-sitting-out-2013 decided to take the year off before the playoffs ended, and was actually contacted by atleast 2 teams. i think you will find how terrible this offense can be with chan. bills where noted with the best screen game in the league. why? because we have an average at best o-line, and our receiving corp is garbage. was chan cut out to be our hc, nope deserved to be canned, but you can't just say he was awful in every facet. ps tavaris jackson was the worst qb on his team and vince young hasnt had a job since September. soon to join them in unemployment is thigy I think you have to take into consideration where this team is as far as the quality of coaching talent seeking us. 3 years ago we basically had to settle for chan. now Lovie is contacting us, Marrone from what I hear was highly sought after by a number of teams and very well respected in the NFL. Pettine left a team in the division to take the very same role with us. Remember what it was like when guys turned down our interview. The organization is now properly run and that has everything to do with the General Manager. I am not defending everything he has done. TJ Graham may actually be his worst decision by the end of his career. However people are asking to be apart of this organization which hasn't happened in a long long time. -
Why does everyone think Matt Ryan is a top 6 QB?
Mango replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think it is mostly because he is... -
The guy was 4th in the league in sacks on 3rd down. I was hating early on as well, but he became a very good player for us post wrist scope

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Mango replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you break it down into credit, there is good and bad. Coming out of the season after the pinstripe bowl, Nassib had good credit. The more he throws at the combine, senior bowl, and public Senior Bowl Practice, the more bad credit this kid generates. Now there is something to be said for showing up, but it doesn't really mean anything if he can't ever produce. Barkley and Smith by not throwing or showing up, keep their credit where it is. Kid is a career back up JP Losman>Ryan Nassib every day, possibly even right now. -

I feel like if Wood plays a full season at a high level, and no injuries, he will get big money elsewhere, injured season, bills pick him up on the cheap.. just a thought -
I'm not sold on Geno Smith, but I think Locker was taken at 8, he's way better then him. That's me selling this team to myself like always.

Not even close to necassary. He'll be there at 41. May even be there in the third, most likely not though. -
Damontre Moore - DE - Texas A&M
Mango replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i agree with you to a certain extent...until i watched a bunch of clips on JJ Watt, and each one was him literally bench pressing a lineman off of him. it is more sport specific then I realized. also being explosive by definition is the quick change in direction. the bottom of the press has to be explosive. in fact his lack of explosiveness is likely part of the reason he can only get 12 reps. his max bench might be twice as high as everybody else at the combine.
