  1. There is a lot of wrong info out there. Everybody on espn and nfl network said he left without a deal last night. Most of the notables where wron on this. I listen to nfl radio a lot they seem to be pretty high on buffalo and think that it is an attractive place for him to land. Infancy last night they where gushing over what this team could be with that d line and what that I looks like firing on all cylinders.
  2. Darius should have gone to dinner with them as well. Maybe even a Merriam or barnett. Unsure of why it was just Kyle. Also with meachem. It might just a case of him not appreciating his date esing the d of the person next to him. He would be the no 2 in buffalo and just a tag along to the Darius date. Willing to bet sd is considering him the number one
  3. Wasnt Hines ward voted the dirtiest player in the league a few years back. I'm not sure if u can here me from your soap box, but maybe we can get bill romanowski to teach guys some stuff as well
  4. what is he going to teach peyton manning about being a quarterback?
  5. Not advocating a trade at all. But you get offered a 1st for Freddy you jump at it. Get the extra 1st take your extra 4th and try and fade back into the 2nd or 3rd and grab another back if you feel so Inclined. We could shore up any combination of positions that are sub par with 2 firsts. Disclaimer? I would nOt shop Fred, but if the phone rang and we get a 1st you jump at it Also what if u can package those 2 firsts for rg3. Does it then become worth it? Then is becomes would ou trade fred and our 1st for a franchise qb.
  6. The reverse of this is if a team needs the ball back and has no time outs they can throw an extra player on the field. Because of this the rule will not change. More often than no it will be in the defenses favor to stop the clock. A rule change is a knee jerk reaction and would actually hinder the overall fairness regardless of this 1 loop hole
  7. contradictory. if we are picking the bpa. i want the bpa so be it if he is a cb, lt, de, wr or qb. take him. if i am picking what i like i will rank it. if we assume everybody is the same there is no need to use bpa. ugh...yes the pro bowl is full of all the starters from just these 4 teams. c'mon man. assuming no injuries we most likely have wilson, jackson, wood, and williams in the probowl this past year. it's a good start. the reality is that teams generally don't put together teams with entirely "all-pro" line ups, and when they do, see philly.
  8. Not really a statement about either team just a comment. I understand a w is a w. doesn't have to be pretty win by an inch might as well be a mile. Just looking back at the season. 1 reg season loss from even having the opportunity. I'm not claiming the bills to be a sb team
  9. Bills lose to the Giants with a late field goal to lose by 3 in NJ. If Buffalo wins that game. Cowboys make the playoffs. Just something funny to think about
  10. every time he catches the football simms and co. rip on him. "lee evans has been about as productive today as he has all season." it's been making me laugh a bit
  11. Agreed but still scared. I wish there was something a little more concrete. Maybe a 50 year lease with a Claus about only no ing the stadium within the county also something about a league collaps( wh knows in 50 years). Also I believe I heard chomp say the other day that the stadium could use something like 100 mil in upgrades. Could have misheard but I doubt the state comes anywhere near that without some belief that the team will be here for a while
  12. My only concern is that he seems to not be able to hold a job. I'm neither high nor low on this. Just waiting
  13. andy daltons success is just as much a result of aj greens skill as it is andy daltons
  14. Andy Dalton's success is also attributed to aj green as much as it is his own talents.
  15. he took some if the (at the time) credit for that awful trade for carson palmer. he should be fired after that. he mortgaged their future and it failed.
  16. i never get the " we need to make the playoffs next year or he is fired" line of thinking. i know i will get a ton of response that take teams like SF or cinci and count them as the rule. The AFC is significantly deeper than the NFC, our division makes it tough. This year 3 teams came from the AFC North. If Peyton returns and with a healthy Houston, that changes everything in the South. We have a team with a record of a decade of awful drafts and trades. we haven't had a record at or above 500 in who knows how long. I would be happy with finishing the season playing similar to the way we started it, competitive with EVERYBODY. That means we drop some of those close games, which means we may even go 8-8. I am happy with improvement and a 500 record or better. That is a better track than what we have been on in a decade, and to be honest there is nobody out there proven to be better who would be willing to accept that job.
  17. the reality of the situation is we where a competitive team who was a draft or 2 from being at the top. that means 10-6 or 9-7 without losing too many startes. assuming we where to over achieve it is an 11-5 or the inverse performance of 8-8. we act suprise when we put something like 15 guys on IR(by the way about 75% of the starting roster) the wheels fell off. we where what we thought we where. if everything works out well, we can hang with anybody, beat most, and be really close to the playoffs, but not a huge surprise to miss it just a disappointment. whatever our tapered opinions of this team we had at 5-2 are the realistic view of where we were. we were not going to win the division and only be in the hunt for the wild card. step off the ledge guys
  18. thing is the dl is most likely best set for a 4-3, with the need for a pass rusher. the sad part is that our lb corps is not really built for either, and if anything stronger suited for a 3-4 with them, even with their poor play, it is the truth
  19. realistically nate washington against our secondary. i hope that cj and fitz have a huge game
  20. we have been running the coaching carousel here in buffalo for a decade now. we have a roster purged of 5 years of bad drafts. udfa sit up and down our depth chart and starting roster. you can not address the coach until you address the talent. I like Chan, he has flashes of brilliance, key word flashes. we can compete with him. if we are talking about age, lets talk nix. guy is 80. if we do anything we should be making sure that whaley gradually starts to see more and more control so that we can make sure the transition is smooth when we lose nix. at 80, he will be gone (from the staff) soon. lets hope that this was whaleys and nixs first no holds bar draft because a few more like it and we will be fine.
  21. i am curious of something. i lived in okc, where I could not get sunday ticket, so got the to go app for the computer phone, and just ran the hdmi chord to my tv. question is, during a blackout will i still get the bills game on my computer since my sunday ticket is registered in oklahoma. i would assume no, but ask because i ran into a sabres fan in colorado who had directv, assuming msg would still come standard, when he realized it didnt, he switched his billing address to a friends or family in buffalo, and now gets all the sabres games because of it. heres to hoping that glitch caries over for me
  22. spiller- playing behind a probowler. so your point is that we should stop giving the ball to our super productive back and start giving it to the back up. silly. until he is in a position to be a feature back the jury is still out. that is the reality of the situation troup/carrington- have been the only depth we have had at any position no matter how poor it has been easley- serious health problems, no idea what his ceiling or basement is to be fair wang- 5th rounder and we have some ok tackles suprisingly, they all just happen to be hurt moats- actually a decent pick in the 6th round. you expect picks this low to be expendable and he has played pretty well calloway/brown- really we are going to wine about another super low round pick. wahhhh my 7th round pick isnt super great. lets get real. looking at good drafting teams, they hit on the draft at about 50% of their picks. the last 2 seem to have provided some depth wich is good. there was an artice a week or 2 ago and we have something like 11 guys left on the team from the 2005-2009 with 1 from 07 and none from 08. there is no team in the league with a poorer roster than that. take the gun out of your mouth, there is some improvement, but intill there is a roster we cant make realistic judgments. or if you would like you can blow your head off because of 2 failed 7th rounders, a bad 5th rounder, and the guy we have backing up our pro bowler.
  23. also after today we could possibly have 12 guys on IR. that is literally half the starting line up. with 10 yrs of poor drafting we have about 8-12 good players. when they go down we have nobody. fitz threw from his back all game, no depth at wr, no depth at lb,we have about 3.5 really good ol, and a serviceable 2ndary on their best day, when you cut that all in half you have nothing, plain and simple. we have no depth. until we can stay healthy, we really cant say anything about the coaching staff. also in 2008 we showed no flashes of being good, just somehow won games. we play solid football at points this year injuries at wr and ol have murdered us as time has gone on. the d was bad and missing a ton of pieces makes it awful. realism
